3* This place was recommended to me by a colleague. In fairness to her, she specifically said the chicken burrito was her go to. I am not a big chicken burrito person, so I opted for the carne asada burrito instead. I also ordered the 3 rolled chicken tacos with cheese and guacamole sauce to try a few different protein options. Bad news first: the asada nor the chicken were very well seasoned. They both tasted very bland. The guacamole sauce was lacking in flavor as well. The cheese on the rolled tacos never melted despite sitting on top of "deep fried" tortillas. Speaking of which, the rolled tacos tasted a little stale. No crunch for something that was supposed to be fried. Good news (maybe): the burrito was very plain (I did not order that way). It came with only meat and avocado salsa. Apparently it was supposed to have pico de gallo, but since I ordered no onion they left it out. There was an okay amount of meat. But for the price (almost $15) fool me by throwing some rice and beans in that thing. My order was ready in 2-3 minutes. Not sure that's a good sign but if you're in a rush I guess it would be. The best parts of the meal was the flour tortilla that the burrito was rolled in. It did have a homemade flavor despite it not being homemade. I saw the packaging sitting out. Of the 4 different salsas at the salsa bar the best tasting one was the habanero sauce. The other two were okay (again lacking flavor, don't be afraid of the salt). I didn't try the avocado salsa because it looked too watery for my taste. Interior was clean. A little dingy looking. Staff wasn't particularly friendly nor were they rude. Just kinda there. It did take them longer to acknowledge me than it took my order to be read. I personally would not come back. I'm glad I tried it, if only just to let my co-worker know that we have different opinions of what constitutes a good burrito. read more

Armando's is hands down one of the best Mexican spots I've been to. I got the shrimp burrito and it was amazing--super flavorful and perfectly made. The beef burrito was a very large tortilla wrapped multiple times around a scant amount of unseasoned beef and virtually raw green bell peppers. Went by the drive thru just now and I ordered the half carne asada fries for my son, he wanted no green sauce (guacamole) on top of fries I said please on the side. When my son checked them they had the green sauce on top and he got off the car and told them and they said no because the green sauce they thought we meant was SALSA NOT green guacamole. I got off and asked them to either give me my money back or make my order right after giving me the same excuse- I said look the pic on the menu shows green sauce ON TOP and that is what we said. We ordered all the different street tacos - carne, adobada, carnitas, asada and potatoes. I'd say they were all average to below average - not a single one stood out to me and they felt semi dry/ under seasoned but maybe that's because it was the meat from the end of the night? Idk. The salsas were good and necessary to provide added taste to the food itself. In order I would rate from best to least flavorful: carnitas, adobada, pollo and asada.
