Nice restaurant on Foothill Blvd across street from Walmart in Fontana. Came on a Tuesday morning was seated quickly , server was friendly and quick getting our drink order and seating our party of 3. We were craving pozole and was delighted and they serve it everyday and not just the weekends. Delicious, seasoned well and soup was hot and not too spicy. My daughter got the Chiliquiles over medium eggs. She loved it. Was crispy with the tortillas and spackled up the yolk from the eggs. I got the upside down Tostada 10/10 Definitely worth a try if you're in the area. They have TV's all around for the sports fans to watch games as well They have plenty of room for larger groups. Good vibes

Me and my family have been dining in here for a the past year let me tell you that the food is very authentic and delicious. Their customer service is amazing. They come and check on you. Ask you if you need more refills. Anything else that you need the coffee is always nice and hot. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a great great customer service and delicious meal. They did a few catering events for me and my family and did not disappoint us or our guest amazing food amazing people, great environment and kid friendly.

This place never disappoints! Good food, service what more can you ask for! My daughter and I love coming here for a good meal!

What I ordered: 1. Caldo de pollo (chicken soup) 2. Tacos dorado (hard shell tacos [chicken]) The food was the closest I've ever come to a home cooked meal. The soup was so hearty and flavorful I didn't need to put anything in it (but I did put lemon, cilantro, and onion because that's how I like it). The hard shell tacos are what drove me to come here initially after a recommendation from my father and they did not disappoint! The food is extremely presentable and it was hard to take a picture because I wanted to take a bit of it so bad! The chips and salsa are good also. They have a large selection of alcohol. The restaurant has the typical Mexican feel and they have lots of room for guests. They played mariachi music while I ate which is also one of my favorite genres to listen to. I will be bringing my family to this location. The service was great and I came during the week and I was 1 of 4 tables/ guests. Update on the restaurant after my third visit: I waited an hour to get my food, which is why I dropped my rating from 5 stars to 4 stars 100% recommend

First time coming here & it did not disappoint! The staff and server were friendly. The ambiance was so cute with the Mexican picado banners & feels homey. The food was AMAZING! My husband got the steak & shrimp he finished it all lol I got the pescado a la plancha & the flavor was soooo bomb! We thought we would take half the plate home because they were so big but we ate it all cause we couldn't stop eating! Would definitely come back here & highly recommend!

What a great Yelp find on the way back to LA from Big Bear! Sergio's is a family owned and run business and this family knows how to cook! We were here for lunch and I got an Asada/carnitas burrito ($9.95) which came with beans, cheese, onion, tomato & cilantro and it was great - very tasty! Girlfriend got a shrimp/ asada burrito and it was the show stopper - their shrimp is amazing here. (He said they cook it in garlic butter but my girlfriend got hers w/o the garlic butter and it was still fantastic) Glad we stopped in and would definitely come back!

ENCHILLADAS, BOMB! BEANS, BOMB!

The flavor was…read moregood, and they were definitely spicy -- I enjoy spicy food, but these had enough heat that I needed a little break between bites. I was there enjoying them with a beer and good conversation. We were taking our time eating and enjoying our drinks; the aguachiles were not the only thing on our table. While we were still eating, someone from the kitchen came out and asked if he could take our plate. We politely said no thank you because we were still working on it. A few minutes later he came back and insisted on taking the plate, saying something along the lines of, "A clean table makes a consumer buy more," but the way it was said came across as rude and made us feel rushed. If the plate had been mostly empty, with just a couple of pieces left, I would have completely understood. But that wasn't the case -- I had only eaten about 2-3 shrimp out of a dozen. I shared how I felt, explaining that I understood clearing finished plates, but we were clearly not done. His response was dismissive and he walked away. The food had potential, and the aguachiles had good flavor, but the service experience left me disappointed. Sometimes giving guests a little time to enjoy their meal, conversation, and drinks makes a bigger difference than having a perfectly cleared table.

I cannot believe I have never written a review for El Chilitos Mexican Restaurant. It's our go-to…read morefor Mexican take-out and yes, we order take-out once or twice a month, which in our house translates to "no cooking." What I always order (and I'm boringly consistent) is Two hard shell shredded beef tacos with rice and beans. The tacos always arrive with the perfect amount of meat, crisp lettuce, and a tasty amount of cheese. The shell stays crispy and never turns into a soggy tortilla which is a win! Rice is fluffy and well seasoned. The Beans are creamy, savory, and basically soul-warming! I can never finish the beans the portions are good. The Hubby gets the carne asada burrito, which is so huge it could double as a pillow after a long day. He swears it's delicious and I've "sampled" a bite and yes, the flavor is there, very satisfying. Chips and salsa come complimentary even with to-go orders! It's around $32 for my taco plate and the carne asada burrito is a bit more but you're getting a lot of goodness for your bucks. We always order take-out, and somehow - somehow - the food lands back home still warm. Magic? Maybe! We've never eaten in so I can't speak to the dine-in vibe. Reason being it is a tiny restaurant but it always looks clean and has a sitting area for to-go orders. My only tiny gripe when we call to place an order, there are moments where I'm on hold while the staff seem to have a full-blown conversation. Ten minutes later, they remember I'm on the line. It's not a deal breaker, just a "huh, okay" moment I file under "worth the wait for the fix." Bottom line: Expect satisfaction from El Chilitos. It's my dependable, no-surprises, "I'm craving comfort Mexican food" go-to. Consistent quality, reliable flavors, and a taxi-cab of a burrito. My pictures are horrible but I promise to eat there again and share more!

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and they were pretty busy…read more I ordered carne asada tacos (can't go wrong with that) and chicharon tacos. And my boyfriend ordered a chicharon burrito. When ordering the lady asked my boyfriend if he was okay with cilantro, onions, rice okay in the burrito and he omitted the beans. One thing she never asked is we wanted hotsauce on the food. Because when I got my tacos and he got his burrito, it had hotsauce. I think this is something they should ask if you want when you are ordering. What if someone is ordering for a kid and they don't like hotsauce. I say this cos I don't like hotsauce. My boyfriend had to bring to back and they have new tacos with no hotsauce. Another thing that is a hit or miss here are the chicharon. Our chicharon was both crunchy and soft. I noticed it depends what time of day you go and you also know by how much chicharon they have left (you can see it on the display). I like how they have the toppings in a little bar where you can get (hot sauce, pickled jalapeños, cilantro and onions). It is a small restaurant. They have some seats indoor and outdoor. And they even have a tortilla lady in the corner making fresh tortillas.

This little hole in the wall taco shop is one of those spots you almost don't notice unless someone…read moretells you about it, but I'm glad I found it. The tacos are really good and packed with flavor, and the burritos are just as solid, big portions that actually fill you up without feeling overpriced. You definitely get your money's worth here, which is hard to find these days. One of the best parts is the salsa bar. They have a good variety of salsas, and all of them taste fresh and delicious, not watered down like some places. You can really customize your food depending on how spicy you like it. The only downside is there's no kids menu, so it might be tough if you have really picky eaters. But if you're just looking for good tacos, good burritos, fair prices, and a taco spot to grab a quick meal, this place is definitely worth checking out.
