Dr Couchman and the entire staff are genuinely lovely people, but my dentures are 100% wrong. Most…read moreof it was a new lab, but Dr C ignored my complaints and told me I was wrong. He's the doc, so I presumed the plates were correct based on his word. Thing is, there's a lot wrong. My implants sit 3 mm higher on one side, which punched a hole in a tooth on the upper plate within a few weeks. I've never had sinus problems, but I can't breathe through my nose ever since my teeth were all removed in one visit. My TMJ is much worse. They were difficult extractions because every one of my teeth shattered. The lab was amazing with the first set of permanents. Perfect fit, color, shape and length. My two fittings went well, but something happened and Dr C had to switch labs. One of these labs lost or broke the upper plate, and after months of "final" approvals, the set that arrived was completely different. The front teeth were missing 4-5 mm of length, and the teeth were ground flat and straight across. Neither the gum color nor the tooth color of top and bottom matched. Very noticeably mismatched. Because of the crooked implants, the lower also sits crooked and that looks and feels wrong. Dr C dismissed me when I asked repeatedly for them to be fixed. He told me I would look stupid, and it didn't matter. I have severe body dysmorphia, so it's a problem that my face looks different. I really should have been warned. I don't see *me* in the mirror. My two fittings became more like ten, and when I was dissatisfied, they gaslit me and sent me on my way...multiple times. Then they wondered why I didn't want to come back in. Conversely, Hubz loves them and continues as a patient. The office is very comfortable, and I'm not afraid of dentists anymore. I just really hate that somewhere along the line, a mistake was made and Dr C's office (who should have noticed) wasn't honest to me.
