Initially, I was referred to her by another therapist because Mary was trained in EMDR. This technique helped me process my childhood trauma in a new and uniquely powerful way. Mary also incorporates other techniques, such as CBT, which have also proved effective in helping me examine my feelings and challenge negative thinking patterns. I've seen two therapists here and both were great. Kelly was my first therapist and she was so kind, always listened, and was a steady source of compassion. Later I switched to Mary, and I've been working with her for about three to four years. She has truly been a blessing, guiding me through my issues and supporting me through more than a few meltdowns. C.I.C. also makes everything easy. They send reminders without being annoying, and I've never had to stress about the insurance side of things. They honor HIPAA and make confidentiality a clear priority, and telehealth has been super convenient for me and helps me feel more open in my own space. Everything is handled professionally so I can focus on my mental health instead of drowning in paperwork. 10/10... I definitely recommend both the company and the therapists. read more

Where should I begin. I want to make it very clear that I'm not some disgruntled patient. I had nine weeks of attention with a therapist by the name of Diane. Who seem to be very responsible and educated and focus on me as a patient. This was not entirely true through the nine weeks. False information documented that I had to correct. And that was a serious line item. The information that was allegedly reported was nothing of the sort's true or ever could be true. Double standards when it comes to cancellation. There is no consideration for patients that have to go to the doctors day of their therapy session for being sick. No follow-up to see if any assistance is needed just open hands trying to collect cancellation fees. To follow the last paragraph it seems like it's OK for the therapist to cancel because she was sick and not be charged by her patient but it's not OK for me to be sick. There was one prior cancellation due to the fact that I am a single father dealing with COVID-19 pandemic like everyone else and I had an opportunity for work as I am a chef and event planner. I couldn't possibly have my therapy session while cooking in the kitchen amongst my team. Therefore we had to reschedule. The therapist lied to her boss and told her that she was ill and she could not take the load of patients after my dispute of the cancellation fee. Which was quite coincidental. Perhaps the same evening of my conversation with the management. And myself and a professional life coach/doctor with a PhD heard the entire conversation of the fib and then coming out and truthfully declining services because she "didn't feel comfortable anymore" As upper management coverage for her for the brief moment they soon came to realize that she was wrong and still at the end of the day the patient lost. Way to go CIC I am truly disappointed that this company that is supported by Kaiser healthcare would do this to the patient. There was one bright side. Sonya In management was a great liaison between Therapist and patient. I will give them that bit of credit. But overall. They failed to take care of their patient. When I became a patient, they ran my coverage and told me I was fully covered with no copay. I actually did have a copay and for 10 sessions I was accruing copays and not paying and they didn't tell me until now (Nov 2022) when my last appointment was in August. I called my insurance and within 10 seconds they were able to tell me that I do have a copay so I'm not sure what happened there. The therapy started out good and then became lackluster where I wasn't really getting anything out of the sessions. My therapist left in August and she told me the office would contact me in the next week to schedule with someone else and they only contacted me now to switch therapists. Due to the lackluster services, I wasn't really looking to continue here, but overall the disorganization has put me off to ever coming back. read more

Coming here changed my life. A little bit of my history, I had been dealing with anxiety and depression for many years before seeing my therapist, Howard, here at the center. Before coming to the center I had seen about 5 therapists during about a 10 year span. The work I did during that time helped a little but would not last too long. My anxiety and depression always ended up coming back. I was convinced I would live the rest of my life anxious and afraid of everything. Since coming here my life has improved greatly. I owe this change to Howard and his use of EMDR during our sessions. I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend EMDR and feel strongly about its ability to heal. I feel in control of my life now and have gained SO much confidence. My anxiety and depression has subsided and I no longer fear its return. I have been in and out of therapy for years and Melissa Petrosian, LMFT is the only person who has understood me as a person and my needs this entire time. She is kind with her words, but puts every situation into perspective and makes you look at your circumstances in a way you wouldn't have considered before. She uses CBT techniques with me and has given me amazing tools that I use in everyday life now (books, meditation, etc) Therapy takes time and work on your part and it's nice having someone who isn't going to let you get by without putting in the effort. Honestly, seeking professional help with a therapist was probably one of the best decisions I have made in my life thus far, and this is not an exaggeration. I had been thinking about looking for a therapist for months, as I was suffering from multiple panic attacks on a pretty regular basis. I'm so glad that I found my therapist, Sonya. I will forever be grateful that I decided to come here to this center. I attended sessions weekly and I improved so much in a relatively short amount of time (in my opinion). My anxiety was taking control of my life to the point where I struggled just to get through the end of the day. After 3 months of therapy, I feel so much better. My anxiety no longer is in control of my life and my depression has subsided. I haven't felt this great in years (or ever that I can remember) and I know I couldn't have done it without the help of my wonderful therapist, Sonya. I appreciate her patience and understanding. I find Sonya to be insightful, caring, deep, and a blessing from the Lord. She has helped me to overcome PTSD, substance abuse, and issues related to abandonment.
