Everyone was nice and ready to help. When I went to the pharmacy a couple minutes away they had already received my prescription. I couldn't find this location on Yelp so I came to google just to review. I was in and out. I filled out one sheet of paper and signed some others. I don't even know if it was legible because that's how bad I felt. I waited like 5 minutes and the front desk receptionist, Fran was super funny and kind. She had great energy which was needed that early. Her attitude helped make the process faster and she even said I could finish the papers later if I get called back. She offered me water. The tech that came to see me in the room Heather was pleasant and informative. She didn't jam the swab up my nose like most caregivers. The entire staff had smiles the entire time. Dr. Bernon was pleasant and extra cautious, he had me do an X-ray just to be sure it wasn't bronchitis. Oh and the X-rays are in-house!! That was a relief. The whole process was maybe 45 max. That's one of the fastest visits I've had at urgent care. He didn't just send me home saying have some tea and rest. He gave me prescriptions for my cough and congestion. He even gave a doctors note without even asking! I'm happy with my service and I'll be back when I have any medical issues...hopefully a long time from now though. What I'm saying is, I recommend this location.

I think hospitals are the type of thing where people only really post a review of it went horribly…read morebad. For that reason I take the two terrible reviews with a grain of salt. First off, it's a hospital. Period. There's always going to be some drama. Second it the only big one in the county... cue everything from home kitchen accidents to tractor rollovers. Lastly, hospital staff are for the most part overworked so I try and be patient. My mom has now been to Civista / Charles Medical Center (something like that) twice now. Both time by ambulance. Both times I felt she received good reasonable care in a timely manner. The doctors and nurses are professional and competent as far as I can see. The records were given to my mom and she was able to relay what happened to her doctor with no problems. This time they have her an option to open a portal thing and control it herself. All good. No one wants to go to a hospital and by all means if you can get away with an urgent care visit then please do that. If you find yourself forced into it; this is a good hospital.

I do not like to give bad reviews so let's call this consideration for areas of improvement. Three EMTs arrived, two of the three were very supportive, the third could have moved a little faster with a bit more sense of urgency. Finally making it to the emergency room. After a LONG wait we finally got out. The nurse was great, the Doctor provided great insight. However, the overall sense of urgency could have been better. If there's more staff needed to support the operations, please invest in the organization.

I completely understand that she may be limited in what she is able to do regarding billing or previous payment issues. That is not the problem. The problem is the way she chose to speak to and treat someone who came in while in significant pain. There had been confusion and miscommunication from prior visits regarding payment. I was not blaming Cynthia personally. I was kind and patient during the entire interaction with her. I simply needed help understanding and resolving the situation. Instead of showing even a basic level of patience or compassion, she was cold, dismissive, and unnecessarily unkind. People working in healthcare are often dealing with patients who are scared, hurting, or already overwhelmed. Kindness should not be optional. Cynthia is representing this establishment, and Patient First should be aware of how patients are being treated at the front desk. I chose this location because I needed medical care. I did not expect to be treated like an inconvenience before I was even seen. None of my friends or family will be going to this Patient First or another ever again.

Second, while exiting the doctor's office on Aug, 18, 2021, Tonya asked me to step around the corner to get my referral and other information. I asked her why, am I stepping out into the waiting room to discuss my medical information. "She reply rudely", that was the office rule. So I had to go around the corner to discussed me scheduling and other information that was use with a previous dr. in front of all the patients. Tonya is the same lady, didn't waited on me, when I enter the office to sign in, because there was no "sign in sheet" She continued her personal conversation with another patients, while I waited. "I said excuse me, I need to sign in" Third, after two telephone conversation with Samantha and Tonya, I asked why, I had to drive 3 hours (total) to give more blood work, when I was coming back in as a new patient and the phlebotomist should have drawn enough. Fast forward, after calling the office back and being deny the opportunity to speak to the office manager, I was able to reach the nurse xxxx. She said it was ok to come in on the 31th to give blood. Tonya called today, Aug 30 to cancel my appointment for blood work and refuse to listen to what I had to say about me coming in for blood and not results, after she left me a message to not to come in on the 31th. There's no communication in the office, and finally after she refuse to listen to what I was saying, Tonya told me to FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR. Not only, did this office disregard my medical information and shared with a third party (patients) in the waiting room, I'm just lost for words, of the unprofessional staff at the front desk and refusing medical service in the middle of my visits. I'm forward to my insurance company and HHS.GOV.
