This needs immediate review. This is the Shopper's World location…read more The provider Parise Street is a liability to MedStar. PATIENTS BEWARE: do not see her. (And read the many negative reviews about her online). After waiting four hours, a provider entered my exam room with no name badge and did not introduce herself. She was dress in scrubs, a mask and a surgical hat. I had no idea who was treating me. From the moment she walked in, her tone was rude, dismissive, and confrontational. She refused to listen to my medical history, talked over me, and repeatedly ignored what I was saying. I explained what has consistently worked for me in prior physician-treated cases for my sore throat and sinus infection, and she shut it down without consideration while pushing over the counter medications I clearly told her multiple times I already had at home. When I said again that I already had those medications, she snapped (with venom): "THEN USE THEM." Given her unprofessionalism, I asked if she was a doctor, she responded with rage: "IT DOESN'T MATTER," and only later admitted she was a PA. Patients have a right to know who is treating them. The lack of transparency was unacceptable. I got off the exam table, grabbed my jacket and purse and started heading towards the door. She stepped closely to me and cut me off before I could reach it. She opened the door and her behavior escalated further: loudly claiming I was "making her uncomfortable" in front of staff--after speaking to me with clear hostility behind closed doors. Her demeanor completely changed the moment there were witnesses. She spoke in a soft voice and lied in front of her now audience. It was both shocking and worrisome. I watched a medical professional lie. I have never been treated with this level of disrespect and unprofessionalism in a medical setting. This was not a difference of medical opinion--this was inappropriate, hostile conduct toward a patient. This interaction should be taken seriously and addressed at a supervisory level.

I have to say since I have been using Waldorf's Women's Care with my third pregnancy I have been…read morebeyond impressed with the service and treatment I have received thus far. The new office is beautiful and clean. It has an onsite laboratory, sonography suite (includes 3-d imaging), a large waiting area and more than enough rooms to service patients. I have visited the practice several times and service has been consistent. Dr. Cooke, Dr. Edmonds and all of the rest of the staff are professional and attentive to their patients needs. I am always greeted with a warm smile and a can-do attitude from all staff members. I would recommend this practice again and again. They listen to their patients. I previously had issues at the old office with some staff and wait times. I talked to Dr. Cooke regarding my concerns and the action taken was above and beyond. Waldorf women's care also cared for me when I needed to have a tube removed after an second ectopic pregnancy, again the Doctor was stellar and I recovered better than I imagined. The doctor left minimal incision marks from my laparoscopic surgery and ensured that my other tube was healthy and that I could try to conceive again. The Doctors confidence, positive energy left my husband and I confident and ready to plan for our next baby. I am forever grateful to the Doctors and staff at Waldorf Women's Care and look forward to my little girls arrival in July.

Two months ago I booked my very first GYN appointment ever with Waldorf Women's Care and had a poor…read moreexperience to say the least. Upon my first visit I was immediately scheduled for a pelvic ultrasound because the P.A (Blackbourne) recommended it after feeling a mass. During the follow up appointment where I was told I had multiple very large ovarian cysts, she showed no bedside manner and basically just scheduled the pre op. I was worried about the possibility of rupturing or torsion (a concern she mentioned during the follow up). So I decided to call after my appointment and asked for a light duty note for my job since I work at a place that requires lots of lifting, bending, twisting, etc. I received a call from the receptionist, not my provider, telling me that my request was denied and that I would be given a note after surgery with zero explanation. She had never asked what I did for work so to immediately deny without reasoning was questionable. I wrote a follow up message asking why my request was denied, and to please reach back out directly so that I could at least know why I shouldn't be worried if she didn't think I needed restrictions. My message sat unanswered for a week, and I had to follow up. During that time I actually received a message asking for a co-pay but still had no response to my original message asking for a follow up. In response I received the light duty accommodation from Dr. Cooke, with zero direct follow up from anyone as requested in my original message. As a result I scheduled my procedure elsewhere. I had better expectations given that the providers were proactive about moving forward with treatment. However, the lack of communication, acknowledgement, and bedside manner is unacceptable.
