My 18 yr old daughter was dehydrated and in pain. I ran from work googled the nearest Urgent Care and rushed here. Front desk staff is a total dream. Comforting, reassuring, and sympathetic, they even gave her a pan because she was nauseous before even taking her info. After all the paperwork was signed and copay taken we were greeted by the medical assistant who took her vitals. The doctor came in and went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. Absolutely DO NOT go here if you care about your health and healing. I'm reporting them to the medical board for misconduct because the physicians assistant I saw was not only incompetent, but so was management who I spoke to the next day who did nothing. The medical assistant I saw, did more than the PA whose name is PAULINA (slender woman with black shoulder length hair). It was evident that Paulina did not look at what the MA just filled out, bc she asked me again what I'm allergic to. The MA had told me that I had high blood pressure, which she didn't even bring up or address. She didn't check any vitals or do anything. I told her I don't have Covid I took two at home tests that were negative and that I have a sinus infection because I've had it so many times before. I also tested negative for rapid. When I told her the only thing that helps when I'm full of infected phlem and mucus and can't breathe are antibiotics. She proceeded to tell me that she will not give me antibiotics because I'm "TOO YOUNG FOR ANTIBIOTICS" I'm 34 years old!!!! The treatment for a bacterial infection IS antibiotics!!! Next day my PCR test came back and look at that I tested negative again like I said I would. I called management to complain and they responded "I'm so sorry this isn't the first time I heard this about her"!!!!!!! RED FLAG WHY does this woman have a license let alone work in this location if they keep getting medical misconduct complaints ?!?!? It is so disheartening being sick and wanting to get better and the one place that's supposed to help doesn't care. They than still refused to give me antibiotics stating that I would need to come in again to be seen by a new physician. So track it out there again when I'm sick and can't get out of bed, just to do the same things over again when it's already on file. When it's their fault for still having an incompetent PA I have to suffer more being sick. DISGUSTING. Will never go back ever again. You shouldn't either. read more

Stay Away!!!! I went to this urgent care on Friday because I felt sick. Then nurse calls me in to the room text my blood pressure does not we me just ask me when I'm there for and then leaves me in the room and walks out. A couple of minutes later the doctor came in, call me I had a sinus infection. The doctor then asked me when was the last time I had a sinus infection and what was the medication that they gave me? I explained to the doctor it was a long time and I'm unsure. My question to my self, are you not the doctor do you not prescribe the medicine? This was not he first time I seen came here and they told me I had a bill from the last visit witch could not be do to you have to pay before seeing the doctor. Thank God I save my receipts. Where do I begin? I went to this "urgent care" on Friday evening after feeling ill with a stomach bug. I was seen by Nick Nicoloff (who introduced himself as "the provider", not sure if MD or PA or NP) who prescribed an antibiotic that I was unable to fill anywhere. The prescription was sent to a 24 hr Rite Aid first. Needless to say, I never got to fill it because it was some sort of suspension that needs a special order. By the time I find this out, all other pharmacies nearby are closed. I go home and try to sleep until morning. I call other pharmacies in the morning and find out that there is no way to fill it until Monday. I'm being told that this is a special order that takes time. A local pharmacist tells me that there is a substitute that I can take, which is the same exact medicine as the suspension but in tablet form. But my prescriber didn't bother to prescribe this or indicate that a substitution is acceptable so I am left with nothing. What is the point of going to urgent care if you're not being prescribed medication you need to take urgently? Why prescribe this kind of medication to sick patients in need of urgent treatment and symptom relief? I call the center asking for another prescription, I'm feeling 100 times worse by now. I am told a tablet form of the medication will be sent to CVS nearby within an hour. After waiting patiently, I call CVS only to find out that there is no record of it. I call the center again. The receptionist that picks up the phone doesn't know what I'm talking about and says she'll have to contact the provider to have a new prescription sent. No timeframe is given. Another hour passes and there is still no record of it at CVS. I made an appointment with a local family doctor because there is no way this will ever get resolved. This is by far the worst experience I've had, the quality of care at this center is abysmal. Zero patient care or compassion. I will be filing a complaint with the NYS Dept of Health. I am a nurse myself and if my workplace provided this kind of "patient care" we'd be shut down. I demand my $50 copay back for this visit. read more

If you are looking to do a covid test in the Ridgewood, Queens area, this is the place. No huge lines, Rapid test results in 15-20 mins. On average I'm in and out from 30 mins - an hour. The people in the front doing the intake are strict with all the protocols to keep everyone safe, which I do appreciate, but they could be a little nicer about it. So same scenario here as everyone else: I got sick, my PCP couldn't see me, did not want to waste entire day in the ER, so I ended up at Centers Urgent Care. The wait wasn't horrible (I'd say about 30 minutes), they have parking (which in Ridgewood area is a big plus!), and they checked me for flu like I asked them to. Now, while feeling sick and crappy and didn't feel like filling million pages of intake forms like you do at any fist visit at a doctor's office, I found it little odd that there literally not single form I had to fill out prior to see the PA. Like wouldn't you want to know if I have some major chronic issues? or allergies? I mean I was asked those questions during the visit, but I just found it weird. Guess I'm used to different things (btw maybe that's a norm at urgent care centers- this was my first visit). Overall I had a good experience, but I didn't really go there to get any complex diagnosis, all I wanted was a flu test which is basically like pregnancy test- so didn't require much thinking on their part. Reading other reviews got me thinking, if I went there with something else, if everything would've went as smoothly as it did. read more

I am absolutely disgusted with the receptionist at the front desk that registers patients in. Not only did Monica make me wait 1.5 hours for a covid-19 exam and let 5 people go in before me. But she yelled at me twice when 2 different nurses told me to follow them to the back. To make things worse she yelled at me in front of other patients and told me to either "sit down or go outside, I don't care". Are these the people you hire to work for you. People who have no respect, no customer service skills and are completely disgusting. I've been coming here for the past year but you can guarantee that I will no longer come back and neither will my family as long as she's there. DISGUSTING AND DISRESPECTFUL. Get a new staff member! In addition, she placed 3 of my family members in 1 room knowing full well that 1 of them tested positive and the other 2 were negative. First, the PROS: 1) super clean and spacious 2) almost never a waiting time 3) staff is always friendly and above and beyond helpful 4) nurses are very nice and especially good with children 5) they are open EVERY day until 9pm, even Sundays. that's amazing. 6) one time I ran in there at 8:55pm because my daughter had just bumped her head. I felt bad because I knew they were about to leave but they made me feel like I wasn't inconveniencing them 7) parking lot My only CON is the doctor himself. There must be more than one, but I have been under the care of the same doctor almost every visit I've had. I don't especially judge doctors on bedside manner because not everyone can be super smart AND a great conversationalist. I didn't mind that this doctor kinda rushed me or asked me the same questions twice as if he wasn't really listening. In the past, my test results confirmed the illness I thought I had, and he was quick to give me the prescription I needed without having to wait the next day to get to my primary doctor, so it all worked out. HOWEVER, I had a really bad experience this past Saturday which is prompting this review and making me hesitant to return. I brought my daughter in with an unexplained rash on her hands. I mentioned that 4 days prior, she had random fevers for two nights which went away with ibuprofen. The doctor looked at her hands quickly, then asked me to pull up her shirt to see if any spots were on her belly. There weren't, which ruled out chicken pox in his mind. He put on gloves, checked her throat and said there was a small yellow bump in the back. He prescribed antibiotics for this "throat infection." For the hand "rash," which he said was an allergy, he told me to give Benadryll. I asked, TWICE, if this was contagious and he said no. Just keep her home a day from school to give the throat infection time to heal. I gave her the first dose of antibiotics and Benadryll. A friend who is a former EMT saw her hands and said "That's Coxsackie (Hand Foot Mouth Disease)" I had never heard of this. We took off my daughter's shoes and sure enough she had blisters on her feet. We Googled some images of the disease and this also explained that sore in her throat. Since the pediatrician was closed we took her to a different urgent care center that is farther away. The doctor immediately said it was HTMD. He said to stop the antibiotics because it's viral. Also said it's not an allergy so no need to take Benadryll or use hydrocortisone. Finally, he said it's super contagious, usually starts out as a fever followed a few days later by a rash on the hands, and that she would need to remain home from school an entire week, or longer if the blisters had not dried up yet. I remembered our babysitter had a bad fever three days after our daughter did. I called her up and sure enough she had blisters on her hands, feet and lips. She had no idea what was going on. I can't even imagine if I had sent my daughter back to school and gotten other kids infected thinking I had the doctor's clearance. I am REALLY disappointed in the level of care we received here on this visit. When I got home, I left them a voicemail about the incident. Although it was the afternoon, the message that came on was that I had called "after hours." Two days later and no one has called me back to apologize for the misdiagnosis. I still give this place a "3" because that's how nice everyone else is. The iPad area for kids is a nice touch. I do not want to leave a bad review, but I'm really upset about this doctor not taking the time to fully examine my daughter. My other times here were all satisfactory. read more

WMy entire family has come to this place at one time or another in the past year. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The wait time in each situation was under 15minutes. They have staff for pediatrics and adults. The place is always neat and clean. They seems to take most insurance since every member of my family has a different insurance. Best part is that if you need a prescription they e prescribe it to the CVS down the block. By the time you get there your prescription is ready. I just came back from a trip, and did not feel too well. Center's just opened and I figured I would give them a shot. I walked in to a very friendly greeting from the medical assistant who checked my vitals and registered me. Less than 5 minutes later I was seen by a female physician who was most kind and thorough. She gave me a very detailed exam and answered all of my questions. I left with a better understanding of what was bothering me, and a great treatment plan to follow up with. First let me say that the front staff is really nice. Their level of professionalism is 100%. However the doctor who saw my son, I would never recommend be in a service driven role. His attitude about my son's medical condition was not only dismissive, but he also didn't even have the courtesy to introduce himself or say goodbye before he walked in/out of the room. What a shame since it's super convenient and very clean (well done janitorial services). But as long as the current doctor is piloting this urgent care ship, I'd be surprised if it's around 12-24 months from now. I won't be going back until an administrative change is made. read more

Came in for a cough that I've had for a few weeks. I was concerned about pneumonia but physician's assistant said my lungs were clear. Gave me a prescription for cough medicine. My private physician was not in on Friday, went yesterday, she said lungs could be clear and you could still have pneumonia. Chest x-ray was necessary to confirm if my lungs were clear. Had one and confirmed I have PNEUMONIA!! Thank God I went to my dr. These emergency care centers are inadequate to properly diagnose serious medical conditions. read more

Unprofessional. When you enter the office the clerk told me everything is electronic. They want you to sign several times but do not tell you what you are signing for. There are no paper copies printed of what you signed for. The front desk clerk turned out to be the nurse and made several unprofessional comments which were meant to be jokes. I guess. The "doctor" never introduced herself and I am pretty sure she was a P.A. While I am familiar with clinicians who do not have a warm bedside manner, she took things to another level. I waited for a discharge paper to have aftercare instructions and a copy with the doctors i.d. # and name. The desk clerk was abrupt and rude and said to us what are you waiting for. I was turned away because the told me my insurance wasn't active, which it is. They refused to call the insurance company but wanted me to pay the full office fee of $150 plus and than the xrays. If I choose not to pay, they said I could come back on Monday if I figured out my problem with my insurance. My wife spoke to the woman that answered the phone and was told that management is there on Monday so call back then. And they could refuse service because they are private. On October 11 I went to Center Urgent Care for a problem with my ear. I had this on going problem for over a month and wanted another opinion. I was previous ly told I had a wax build up and used an over the counter item. I still felt it wasn't cleared up. I was greeted at the front desk and ask to give all information and told it would be 10 to 15 minutes with no one is the waiting room. I was told there were two people ahead of me. After 10 minutes I was escorted into a room and questioned by a nurse who took my information on an index card. She tool my blood pressure and temperature and told me the doctor would shortly. After sitting waiting for over 30 minutes an doctor came in without a chart or the index card and proceeded to ask me everything the nurse did. She looked in my right ear and said I had puss in that ear and the ear with the problem she told me I had no wax but a hole in my ear drum and would give me medicine and drops. The exam lasted less than 5 minutes. She gave me no directions on how to use the meds. etc. I did not trust her so made an appointment with an ENT who found I did have a wax build up and removed it without a problem. I am thankful I never took the meds since it would have not helped at all. I have been to other urgent care centers and have never been treated like this and I would have walked out if I hadn't paid my copayment of $50. I will NEVER USE the place again. O would NEVER recommend this center to anyone. read more

Absolute worst experience of my life. I wish I could give this place zero stars. I went in to drain a wax build up in my ear -granted it had really built up - left much worse and completely unable to hear. The medical assistant went in with something that felt like a toothpick and kept pushing until he completely inflamed my ear canal. I felt it in my throat and started coughing my lungs out and tearing. Even when cleaning with a Q-tip aren't you never supposed to deeply push in?? I should've known to stop him there and then, but he's the professional. When what I can only assume was his supervisor came in and quickly noticed his mistake -it was obvious in her face- her last resort was to check my throat. That had also "looked a little red" and she suggested that the wax build up could be connected to my throat. To add insult to injury, she tried to cover up his mistake by suggesting that I may be dealing with a cold and ignoring that fact that her assistant shoved what felt like toothpicks down my ear canal despite my constant wallowing and even tears. I would have rather chopped off my ears. I will literally never even walk in the direction of this urgent care, let alone go in for a visit ever again. read more

Horrible place! I was there at 7:30PM on a Monday and the hours of operation are 9AM to 9PM (365 days a year). I received a $50.00 bill in the mail. I called their billing office and was told that it's an after hours charge. They said business hours are 9 to 5. I said when I was there no one informed that I would be incurring an additional charge. They told me it was something that my insurance company was not covering. I immediately called my insurance company and they told me they are billing me using a specific code that indicates it was an off peak hours visit, meaning they opened the facility just for me (this is what my insurance wouldn't cover). This was a huge lie on their part. The service sucked as well, but I would have let that slide being they are an urgent care, but fraudulent billing is just deplorable. read more

Visited facility for medical attention was checked by nurse1 and questioned by nurse2 as to why i was present and explained my illness who then instructed me to tell the doctor about my illness. within 30 minutes i was then escorted by nurse1 into examination room who took my blood pressure and asked again my reason for being there i informed the nurse again my reason chest pain, coughing, fever, chills, congestion, headache, light headed, sinus pressure. i also expressed my concerns about my glucose levels and wanted to check my sugar nurse informed me she would tell doctor. Nurse returns with a nebulizer treatment puts on my head over my face and leaves room so alone i am with my treatment 5 mins later doctor walks in tells me to inhale and exhale once each and walks out room estimated time 20 secs. Once again alone in the room treatment is finally done and still left alone with machine running treatment all done i decided to inform them, when i opened the door doctor was sitting on his phone and seemed annoyed that i poked my head out informed him that treatment was done and was told again doctor still sitting on his phone " Just shut the machine off!" I'm sorry but I'm not familiar with this machine and although it might seem common sense for others to turn on and off this machine to me it was foreign and i was afraid to break it but because i was instructed by doctor i was forced to figure it out. So again sitting alone in the room about 10 mins doctor returns opens door tells me he just gave me(medicine name) and go pick up a refill and if you don't it can turn into bronchitis all of which was a couple of secs convo NO DIAGNOSIS doctor then leaves room and sits back down back on phone. i gather my belongings again alone in the room and exit feeling uneasy because I'm leaving exactly how i came in not knowing whats wrong with me how to take the prescription, whats its treating. before walking out i ask the nurse I'm sorry but what exactly is wrong with me? "he didn't tell you" NO "oh you have a virus" like the flu? "no" like a bacterial infection? "no like a virus, like you can have it and give to me and i can give to you" so nurse does what i ask which is to ask to doctor who is still sitting down on his phone suddenly he's annoyed storms up out his chair and opens the door and begins to raise his voice at me "i told you whats wrong with you" i then reply I'm sorry but is there any reason why you have to be so arrogant and rude to me when i ask whats wrong with me.. "i told you whats wrong with you in the room" and shuts door and sits back on chair. i continue to talk to the nurse which annoys him because she's apologizing for him and even refused to give me his name he bangs on the window and yells at her call 911 she's refusing to leave the facility. he then opens door to general area which I'm standing in and gives me a count down and tells second nurse watch this and again tells me you're refusing to leave I'm calling 911 theres video camera all over this place. throughout the whole time all i wanted was his name which he refused to give and never did i refuse to leave. he then yells from the chair he was sitting on because he knows its illegal to withhold name Testa. and begins to yell out the spelling and tells me Now Leave I'm calling the cops and relates my clothing description over the phone to 911 operator. i left and waited for police outside. its a shame that this Dr Testa will now bill my ghi insurance and receive compensation for services that werent rendered to me. no flu exam, no glucose exam, all of which i expressed my concerns. no physical exam but this I'm sure he will say he did just by saying inhale and exhale. no instructions on medication and how to take it and what its for. i will say this the staff (two nurses) were great but Dr Testa if it even is his real name was arrogant and rude and cares nothing for his patients but only of the money he makes with every patient i WILL NEVER STEP A FOOT IN THERE AGAIN!!!! i also made claims with my insurance and the better business bureau. with all the video cameras in the facility maybe they can pull up and show all of that the 1 minute pop ups in my room and being distracted on his phone. read more

Went to this location for the first time as it's fairly new, walking-distance, and my daughter needed to be seen for a walk-in matter. Waiting room was pretty crowded for Sunday afternoon and AC seemed not working or very low. Despite that, we walked to the reception and waitin in front of a polish woman (middle aged) who didn't look up to greet us. We stood there few min and then she looked up and said: yeah what can I do for you. I said I would like my daughter to be seen by a physician its our first time here we used to go to other location. She then stated: we don't have another location. I responded briefly about how I meant the medical center in grand avenue. She then repeated: ok but I said we don't have another location. Very nasty her tone, face, and how she repeated that (as opposed to greeting us as patients should be/ and also, comprehending what I clearly stated I meant by "other office").../ I then repeated: ok got it, perhaps it's a diff chain which I didn't realize and only mentioned in case was the same (for records, etc). She then responded again with an attitude saying they don't have another location. Completely unprofessional!, and some nerve to keep repeating that in the tone she did; if all things in a medical office to do when greeting someone. Beyond rude and unexpected. read more

I'm here visiting this urgent care center due to pain and swelling in my left arm. Today is New Year's Day and I didn't think any urgent care places would be open or open until late. I called and asked what time this location is open until and the receptionist told me they're open until 9pm. I immediately came to this location as soon as I could. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Silvia(such a nice lady) she checked me in and told me it would be a 10-15 min wait. I waited about half an hour before seeing the doctor but I didn't mind because of the service I received and because it's New Year's Day. I was seen by my nurse instantly and about ten mins later my doctor showed up. She checked me, asked me questions, and gave me insight as to what she thought the problem might be. I was very impressed with the services I received here and the hospitality I was given. This is the place to come when you need to be seen for any emergencies! read more

If I could give this place NO stars, I would. My boyfriend got hit by a car and called me to pick him up and take him to the closest doctor. I drove him to this "urgent care" office. The front desk associate (white woman, very short blond hair) was BEYOND rude and unhelpful. She looks at him like he has 10 heads because he didn't file a police report. He explains to her that the truck sped away and his main concern was to see a doctor since he was experiencing severe pain in his entire left side of his body. She went to get the manager to ask if he can be seen since he didn't have a police report. The manager says its okay to be seen but he then tells her he doesn't have the $50 co-pay, to bill him. She says they cant see him, He begs and says "please, I was just it by a car" and she says "no, we cant" He begged again and she just said "NO". Very rude, no sympathy. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. The entire staff is beyond rude and unprofessional. I got a severe allergic reaction to something at my boyfriends family party. I've never had any allergies in my entire life so I wasn't sure what caused it. My boyfriends aunt is a nurse so she gave me Benadryl and suggested I see a doctor ASAP to determine what I was allergic to. The next day I came here, as my regular doctor wasn't available. When I got there I explained to the receptionist why I was here. To be diagnosed for my allergy & treated. She said alright that's no problem, so I filled out the required paperwork & paid the copayment and waited. I was called in after 15 minutes. A male doctor came in and I explained to him my situation. He said he would tell the doctor and she would be in shortly. I waited about 40 MINUTES FOR THIS DOCTOR. Unacceptable! The female doctor walks in and I explain my situation to her. She proceeded look at my skin for 5 seconds before telling me there was she can do. Then she went to tell me how her husband had an allergic reaction way worse than mine once. That was completely unprofessional and rude! I was fuming. I demanded my copayment back since they made me for so long to look at me for 5 seconds & tell me there was nothing they can do?! I understand what they meant they can't diagnose what exactly I was allergic to but they should of told me right away when I explained to the front desk why I was there. Waste of time & money. the lady at the front desk even tried to lie and say I didn't tell her why I was there and she had no idea what services the doctors offer. Bullshit. The location of this center is convenient and the waiting area is well decorated; that is about the only positive. My husband went here recently for severe shoulder pain. He was seen only by a PA who didn't bother to x-ray him because she thought it was a rotor cuff tear. She gave him a script for an MRI. I called my insurance to start the process for the auth (I am a medical professional and I am familiar with the process). I gave the insurance all the information they needed; the center only needed to provide the clinical information to justify THEIR ORDER FOR THE MRI. When I called and spoke to a male (who happens to be the manager) he told me that I can not call my insurance to start the process and that I had to go to the place they sent us to because they take care of that because that is not something they do in the office. I told him I knew what my limitations were and my right to seek care at the center of my choosing and he brushed me off. I called again and spoke to a woman who also told me that they don't call insurance companies for this (this amazed me because that is their obligation as a provider to get this auth if they order a test that requires auth) but that she would take my information and see what she can do. My husband passed by later in the day and they brushed him off and said that the insurance would get back to them (this was on Tuesday). I called my insurance today (Friday) and was told that they are still waiting for the provider to complete a series of question to complete the auth. I just called again and spoke to a Melissa who was very nice and when I told her my story she didn't seem surprised and said she would try her best to help me. I will never go to this center again, I would rather be seen in an ER and pay $100 deductible then be seen by a center who gives you a script and forces the patient to figure out what to do with it. Went to urgent care because my doctor was closed. I went for my knees. Waited for an hour just for the mean doctor to push my legs back, listen for idk what and say "ok." Didn't even tell me what was wrong with my knees. I had to assume and ask questions that she didn't wanna answer. I followed her out of the room because I didn't know what else to do. She asks me if I want a paper for my prescription telling me what to do ..... uh, obviously! I was so rushed and wanted to make sure she knew why I was there so I can leave with answers. I explained how I think my workouts are hurting my knees and giving me sharp pains. She said nothing!! And I then asked ...."should I give the gym a break for a little?" And she replies "it's on the paper." It didn't even say it on the paper! How hard was it for her to tell me what was wrong or what's she's prescribing and why and how it'll help me? F*ck urgent care. They obviously don't care to help people. Oh and they prescribed me something my insurance doesn't cover. Never going back. read more

Fast fast service. In and out In 20 minutes. From receptionist, vitals,X-rays and brace, total 20 minutes! Friendly staff. Clean atmosphere. All it cost was my co-pay. Will be using them again. read more

My visit was quick. Walked in, waited maybe 10 minutes. During my wait, I've noticed that the ladies at the front desk was making a call to my insurance company on speaker. Major HIPAA violation!! I'm a Medical Biller and that's not standard protocol when verifying patients insurance. Was seen by the PA, X-rays were done, saw the doctor, he showed me 1 out of 3 of my xrays. Was told to take pain meds and sent home. If I was there more than 20 minutes, it was a lot. Although I feel that everyone was pleasant and the facility is state of the art, I feel there's something wrong with my diagnosis. I guess time will tell. read more
