Fast forward to March 2026: as we began preparing for broader home renovations, we reconnected with them for an updated whole-house quote. After hiring a handyman to take care of minor repairs around the house, we were finally ready to paint by May. Because 21st Century is so popular with local school districts and commercial clients, their summer schedule fills up fast. However, they promised they could start our project in August during the first week of school, and they delivered right on schedule. Throughout the planning phase, they were incredibly responsive to all my questions and accommodating whenever I needed to update our project scope. When work began, the execution was incredible. They initially estimated the job would take between a week and a half to two weeks. For our nearly 3,200 sq. ft. home, we stayed at a nearby Airbnb expecting a longer process, but their team was so efficient they started on Monday and wrapped up completely by Saturday! The quality of work was outstanding, and their customer service is truly top-notch. As a self-proclaimed perfectionist, I was amazed when I did my initial walkthrough. There were only a few minor spots that needed touch-ups; everything else looked flawless. The owner, Gary, and project manager, Mike, maintained excellent communication and knew the exact status of the project at all times. The crew was courteous, respectful of our belongings, and made sure the house was securely locked up every day. During the final walkthrough, Gary personally ensured I was 100% satisfied and had the team address the few touch-up spots right on the spot. They were so appreciative of our flexibility with scheduling that they even brought a box of donuts to the final walkthrough! All of the painters we received bids from were excellent but we chose Mo and Nice Guy Painting because their cabinet man Enrique is hands down one of the best around. The entire project took almost three weeks but I couldn't be more pleased. Everything was carefully painted with minimal mess and disruption. And Mo upgraded the cabinet paint to Gallery at his cost. No upcharge. Enrique even did outside trim in three different colors at no extra charge. I could not be happier and Nice Guy Painting was $1500 less than the highest bid. They were tight on time, but they found a way to squeeze it in and give my office a touch of color that I love. My only regret is is that I didn't consult with him on color before we got started. They showed up late and spent a third of the day looking at their phones, dripped paint on all of my outdoor furniture, punctured roofing shingles, destroyed flower gardens, crashed their truck into a retaining wall, left paint on windows, and more. The crew manager was inefficient and ignorant, and the owner offered empty promises. In the end they caused over $10,000 in damages to my property.

I asked if it was too small of a job because I do have other rooms I could add in. Anyway, no response. So I figured it's not his number anymore. I sent the business a quote request a day later. No response. This is weird because they were so great before but now they just seem like maybe they aren't taking anymore business? Or maybe they are no longer in business? I waited over 24 hours and not even a message back? Thats not like them... but I suppose they could just be swamped and I can understand if that's the case. If they respond I'll update this....but it's now been almost 2 weeks so I can't recommend them.
