I was referred to the endoscopy center for a routine colonoscopy. From the scheduling to the discharge everything went smoothly. All the people who work here are so friendly. They make sure you are comfortable from beginning to end. After scheduling they sent me a packet in the mail describing what I needed to do for prep, what to expect, and even provided the pills needed for the night before, although sadly they were crushed in the mail so I replaced them with some I already had in my medicine cabinet. That would be the only negative in the whole experience. They also have you sign in to their digital site to provide your history beforehand so no lengthy forms to fill out once you arrive. From the moment I came in to check in, everything went very quickly with no time waiting in between any of the steps. Dr. Gurm and her team were excellent. From the moment that I brought my wife into the Endoscopy Center, it was a wonderful experience. Luz at the front desk was A+ . She was professional, yet friendly. Luz was respectful and patient with a senior citizen (me) and helped me complete the paperwork. This was my first... TMI, colonoscopy. I was terrified. Excellent service and communication. THE APPOINTMENT SETTING I was able to make an appointment a few weeks from the date i called. I was surprised i could get in so quick. I was hoping it would be a longer wait as I was not looking forward to it. THE INSTRUCTIONS They sent me with a very detailed instructions sheet with what I was supposed to do to prep. Basically drinking only clear non red or purple liquids. I am a seasoned faster/cleanser (about 2-3 times a year) but only drinking clear liquids was a tough one. I would suggest, if you have never fasted or cleansed before, I would suggest you do it so its not a total shock to your body and mind. I did buy 2 containers of fresh Bone Broth from Whole Foods to take the edge off. The miralax drink, which is a clear liquid that cleans you out. I mixed the whole thing in a bowl and then poured them in (64oz total). I saved four 16oz bottles from my last juice cleanse to put it in so its easier to portion how much i was supposed to drink at a time. THEY OVER COMMUNICATE They did text and call three times to make sure you were coming to the appointment. It was a little overkill and gave me more anxiety than anything. THE DAY OF THE PROCEDURE Got there an hour early. Did not sleep the night before since I was going to the bathroom all night. They saw me right on time. I put on a robe and socks. They gave me a warm blanket, and talked me through the process. They do their best to make you feel at ease and comfortable. I was given sedative that was administered at the top of me right hand. It stung a little and then they wheeled me into a room where there were about 5 people in there. I fell asleep almost instantly. I woke up relieved that it was over. It felt like only a few minutes but I think it was like 30? I was in and out in about an hour and a half. The whole time, they communicated/texted my boyfriend, who was picking me up every step of the way. He was ready and waiting with a Poke Bowl in the car. Much better than flowers! I was starving and ate the whole thing. Not looking forward to the next time I have to do this but when I do, i'm coming back! UPDATE: My bill (received a month later) was $195 and my insurance paid a little more than half so I was able to pay the rest online easily. read more

AMAZING from start to finish! The nurses, receptionist, anesthesiologist, technician and Dr. Sekhon made me feel like more than just an every day patient. Especially just before I was put to sleep both the anesthesiologist and Dr. Sekhon were chatting with me making me feel relaxed and comfortable. Everything was flawless with the exception of the surgery having to be delayed about an hour due to MY mistake of having eating a handful of ice chips for my dry mouth on my way to the center. The bowel prep directions are provided from your doctor from the digestive center, sedated me and made light-hearted jokes before I went under. Recovery was smooth and nurse was also very nice. I was quite satisfied with the registration and nursing here. What was completely unacceptable and below standards of care was that I mentioned to the nurse that I had been diagnosed with severe sleep apnea since mailing in my medical questionnaire. She replied that they don't care for people with severe sleep apnea but that she was sure that the CRNA would be fine with it. I expected him or her to discuss this with me but instead I was wheeled into the procedure room and the CRNA approached and said he's going to begin giving me Propofol. There was never a discussion about the severity of my condition or the appropriateness of proceeding with the procedure there. I was never examined by either the gastroenterologist performing the procedure nor the CRNA (not anyone else). As an anesthesiologist, I know that it is standard for any anesthesia provider to perform a brief history and physical including examination of the patient's airway, heart and lungs. This was not performed. It is also standard to personally discuss risks of both the procedure and the anesthesia; neither of which occurred. I expected it to be done when I rolled into the procedure room, but instead I was promptly put to sleep. I would never return and would warn others that this is clearly not an isolated situation and that their focus is on efficiency, production and profit, and not on good, safe, professional patient care. read more

If I could give them no stars I would. They are obviously a puppy mill money making machine. They don't care about you at all. Had at least a dozen people in the waiting room with me, most likely the reason why it took so long. I waited almost 2 1/2 hours just to be taken to the pre procedure room. Then waited another half an hour to be taken in for the procedure. After it's done the doc starts giving you the break down of how it went, when your still drowsy and won't remember a dang thing she is saying. Again, this place is about making money and nothing else, they don't care if you have a schedule or not, it's only about them. read more

I was very pleased with the treatment and care I received before, during, and after my colonoscopy. The staff were very attentive and caring, and very aware of my embarrassment concerning the after effects of the prep. that has to be drank the day before (leaking still). My only concern was that perhaps the staff is not as up to date as it should be on advances in detection of the need for a colonoscopy. I was asked why I had come for a colonoscopy that day, and proceeded to tell the nurse that I had had a positive result from the Cologuard test that I had taken. Unfortunately the nurse did not know what this was, even though it has been approved my medicare for several years. I sincerely hope that the nurse investigated, and let the rest of the staff know of this advancement. read more

I'm sitting here with a friend waiting for him to have his procedure and it occurred to me that when he brought me here for my procedure some time ago, I never wrote a review, so here it is. The staff at the endoscopy center is always very professional in my experience. Once you get called back to be prepped, you will be in good hands. When I had my endoscopy, I was made to feel very relaxed and safe like I was in capable trustworthy hands. I no longer remember the name of my nurse in recovery, but I do recall that she was friendly, and funny, and took great care of me right up until the moment she helped me into the car. If I need endoscopy services in the future I won't hesitate to return to this center. read more

The staff here were so amazing. I was a little nervous being by myself due to this whole COVID thing but they made me feel comfortable and relaxed. From the time I was brought back for pre-op to the time that I left. All of the nurses and staff were great. If I ever need this procedure done again I will definitely be back. read more

The billing department is incompetent for sure. I had a procedure done in June. Never received a bill until December 24th and it was from a collection agency. WTF the address on the collection agency was incorrect. Anyway they are lawbreakers and I would never recommend this place to anyone. The RN that started my IV missed my huge veins. Read First!!!!! On November 2019 I had an endoscopy done here at Central California. It was my first time going under I was a 23 year old girl by myself my nurse Terry was really nice all the way until we went to do my iv. As I told her I did not want it to go through my veins on my hand I was threaten with her saying and I quote " you do not have a choice I will go through your hand if I have to" after my procedure I became some what awake I could hear people but I could not talk , move, or open my eyes. It was at this point where a nurse came and pushed all her weight on my chest with another nurse telling me I need to get up because they need the bed. Then I was pulled by my legs pulled out of bed still not able to open my eyes or talk. They refused to talk to my emergency contact who came to pick me up. After my procedure I call to get my medical records they refuse to give them to me 3 times before I had to fight just to see my own records which later stated that I was only in recover for 15 min. I will never go back to this place that threaten me and abused me, forcing me out of recovery before I could even open my own eyes the nurses here are heartless and all the care about is when a bed is available. read more

Brittany at the front desk apparently thinks being efficient means being unfriendly. I then get called back and the nurse ask me to follow her and then quick steps and starts explaining the procedure while her back is to me and walking away. As I have hearing problems I ask her to stop and look at while talking. She stops, turns, rolls her eyes and then proceeds to keep walking and talking. We get to the core area, I go to pee and while in there decide this is not the place for me as I have zero trust now, so I leave. This was a recent visit 2/5/15 at 1530. read more
