Central City Tree Service to the rescue. I had a problem with the roots from a giant ficus and avocado tree. Their roots were strangling my main water line and branches were growing dangerously on my neighbor's adjacent property Mark came right out to take a look and scheduled his crew to comeback 24 hours later. I've never seen such hi-end new equipment. The chipper and Kubota tractor were operated with precision while other crew were busy pruning my avocado so everything was on my property line. Spoke with Mark, the owner this afternoon and he sent someone to my home within around 15 minutes. The gentleman who repaired an irrigation leak in my yard was extremely professional and dd a wonderful job. He had to dig through soil, bark, and surface stone to repair the issue. He carefully replaced everything after the repair and left the site clean and orderly. I will definitely use them again. Pricing for the repair was extremely reasonable as well. read more

I think they would be a great company, but I found them to be way too high in their estimates. At least for the size of my fruit trees. When I say they are high in cost, it's because I didn't need this type of tree company, I only have fruit trees that need pruning. I need probably a handyman for my size of trees. Had an absolutely delightful experience with this company. I had contacted them about getting a quote for some trimming on my property. the estimator showed up when he said he would. He gave me a fair quote, then the next day asked if he could have a crew come by and do the work earlier than scheduled. I explained to him that I did not have the funds available for payment until the next week, he said that is fine. The crew came and professionally did the work, cleaned up after the job and were done and gone in much shorter time that I estimated it would take. A week went by and I hadn't heard back, so I called to follow up. I got a call back from Pete explaining that he forget the address and wanted to know if I wanted him to try again. My husband and I are so glad we hired Central City Tree and Landscaping Services to remove three LARGE Leyland Cypress trees in our backyard. You can tell Mark takes great pride in his company and hires outstanding people! The three man crew climbed, balanced, sawed, wood-chipped, stump-grinded, cleaned up after these large (probably 90-ft) trees with such finesse -- while avoiding a nearby common wooden fence, brick wall, sprinkler system, and our HOUSE!!! With the way they were able to bring down large sections of tree and not have a giant log plummet into one of our nearby windows, they had to be versed in geometry/trigonometry (you know angles:-) Mark's crew were punctual, professional, careful, and very BRAVE!! They even finished on the short end of their estimated completion date. The machine they have to deeply stump grind and bulldoze-grade the aftermath is AMAZING!!! We always do our research before hiring companies and this company is accredited with the Better Business Bureau with an A+ rating. They have a contractors license, are insured, and have workers comp insurance. We have more landscaping work to do and would love to hire this family owned business again!!! Terrible customer service. Contacted Trisha, who is the office manager and wife of the owner and asked for an estimate for tree removal. I advised her that this tree was involved in a property damage suit with a property management company and asked if there was any conflict of interest with them giving me an estimate. She advised that no conflict existed. She advised that an employee would call back and schedule a time for the estimate. No call back was received. I called them back two separate times to try and schedule estimate appointments. Finally, I spoke to Mark who is the owner, and he advised that he would come out the following day to give an estimate. He called in the morning to advise that he was running late and that he would be out early in the afternoon to give an estimate. He never called back and never showed up. After a final follow up call from me, Mark advised that the reason that he didn't show up was because there was a conflict of interest. He just lacked the professionalism to call me and tell me this. Instead he chose to just not show up. My recommendation...look for someone else for your tree service needs. read more

I would not recommend. Requested leaf cleanup, trimming of bushes (8 small ones) and flower bed repair, about 2-3 hours of work. Agreed on price to include materials for the flower bed repair (a couple of bags of river rock). Work completed satisfactorily except for flower bed repair. When I brought this to the owners attention, was treated very rudely, including foul and racially intoned language. read more
