I asked Paradise Tree Service to come look at my trees to see if any of them needed attention. We walked around the property and he talked about every tree. He told me that I should trim a branch on the Locust tree that was hanging over the driveway. The other large tree had ivy growing up the trunk about 20 feet and it was strangling the tree. A beautiful oak tree in the back yard had a branch that was growing out too long trying to get more sun. He trimmed the branch above to allow more sunshine to reach the branch below. He shortened another branch that was growing into a large pine tree and inhibiting the growth on that side of the tree. I have had my trees looked at every few years for the last twentyfive years and no tree company has ever mentioned any of these things. While we walked he said he had learned all about trees from his father who was an arborist in Paradise his whole life. This young man became an arborist as well. He climbed the oak and did an excellent job trimming the tree while the rest of the crew worked out front using a bucket lift. Everything was cleaned up and hauled away. Paradise came in at a much more reasonable cost and because I had used them in the past I chose them again So glad I did. The grandmother oak dominating our property is my baby but she had lost a limb, was about to lose another, and was carrying a lot of dead wood. Felix, Barristo, Zack and crew did a great job thinning her out and balancing her canopy so she doesn't have so much weight on any one side. They cut all the wood into firewood length rounds, except for one huge round I discovered when I went to split the wood. I called Monday to ask if they could come back and saw it into a manageable size and Zack showed up with the long chainsaw next morning and got it done. I hired this company for a job to prune two trees. I have bushes below the tree they promised they would not crush before the job started. During the job they crushed the bush with large branches dropping directly on the bush and a worker standing in the bush crushing branches. The bush is half the size of what it was. If Chase had said, it is impossible not to crush it a little bit, I would say okay. But, he promised as part of the job they would leave it in tact and unharmed. I told the workers that I was upset over this promise not kept and they left the job unfinished. I have never dealt with a company, of whom I really liked and have worked with before, be so unprofessional. "It's not that bad" the worker said. The damage was bad enough, and if I didn't catch it in time it would have been worse. Also, they were dropping huge cutting onto my roof, which I was concerned might cause some damage, and they bumped their tree crane into my house twice. To simply leave as they did, unfinished and in a huff, is simply awful professionalism. Probably do a good job with the actual tree work. Estimator and owner seemed nice and professional. However, it pays as a customer to get another quote. I had two other companies come out to quote me on thinning and trimming the big tree. Paradise Tree service was literally 2.5 - 3 times more expensive than the other two companies. That's the actual math, not some made up number. Would've cost over $2000 with Paradise. The other two companies were well below $1000 (and both are licensed, insured, bonded, well-reviewed, etc.). I didn't have a poor quality experience or result from using one of the others and have no regrets saving around $1500. read more

My lot was previously cleared and then determined that additional work needed to be done unbeknownst to me. I received a bill for some of their work which totaled nearly $2,500. Now on that line item they throw three or four things that could be done but don't specify exactly what was done and how many hours + 10ths were taken to perform that duty. They are extremely expensive and have many people up in arms over their bills. If you decide to use them, I would highly suggest you get a line by line item quote. And make sure there is a not to exceed total. They're getting so many phone calls right now from unhappy customers that they're not even answering their phone. read more

Great experience! We were impressed by their customer service, work ethic and commitment to customer satisfaction. Over the past year or so we've seen Paradise Tree service in the neighborhood doing some extensive work, so when we decided to have our oaks, pine and liquid ambers trimmed we decided to give them a call. We got an appointment for an estimate within a day or two. Raymond arrived right on time and assessed the scope of work. Immediately afterward he sat down and put together an estimate for us. We discussed the estimate and adjusted the scope of work to fit our budget, but also came up with a plan for tree care over the coming years. Raymond assessed all of the trees we hoped to have trimmed, many of which hadn't been touched in decades, and he created a plan for us. We set an appointment for three days later and the tree crews came out and got to work! They cleaned up four oaks, a gray pine and two liquid ambers and even cleaned up all of the amber leaves that had fallen over the past few months! It is so hard to find service like this in 2023. I really wanted to give these guys five stars after hiring them and reading the reviews. I had work done in October where they removed agapanthus bushes and ground out birds of paradise that were pushing in my retaining wall. A month later the birds of paradise were growing back. As I am having the retaining wall rebuilt, I see all the roots were never removed. So frustrating that I spent a lot of money and had hoped the job had been done right. Not only did I want the plants removed but of course the root system too so that I could start over. During the recent rain storms my tree fell over and blocked both cars in the driveway. I couldn't move the tree even 1 inch by myself. I needed extra done because someone dumped rock salt beside my orange tree. It went into shock and lost almost all its leaves, dropped 99% of its oranges (which was fine because they tasted awful). It took a while with all the storms and trees falling but Chris came out all prepared and had food and whatever was needed to make it come back to life. Thank God, because it is a 40-year-old tree. It being so old is what probably saved it. New growth finally came out after months so it doesn't need to be trimmed just fed and some nutrients. Anyway, good job, thanks, Chris. Thought I wanted a couple cedar trees topped. Paradise came out to quote a price. They started out right away saying, you don't want to top the trees. It will kill them in 4 to 5 years. He said they could take care of it Monday, but will send out Raymond the arborist to check it out. Raymond came out and said they could take care of it on Monday. Paradise's response to my call asking for a quote compared to others competitors who I also reached out to was the most prompt as well as they were accommodating to scheduling the day/time they could make it. Their price was a lot more competitive than what I anticipated. They took down two huge Mexican palm trees in my corner of my house, grinded the roots and even hauled away some bush and tree trimmings and other gardening debris in their price. Crew arrived that afternoon and took care of business within 20 -30 min. The crew leader, from what i could tell (john) was great to work with and you could tell he cares about trees. I had a tree that needed to be removed from my front yard. I have a lot of experience felling trees, but did not want to tackle this one due to close proximity to neighbors property. I called and Gill came out to give me a fair, honest estimate. I asked when they could do the job, Gill said they could come the next day. They safely, efficiently felled the tree. They loaded all of the tree into their trailer. They even used a blower to blow all scraps and saw dust into a trash can which they dumped several times into their trailer. I also had them grind the stump so that no roots would sprout up suckers. When all was said and done at the end of the day you could not find evidence that a tree was even in our yard. I'm usually a DIY kind of person and previously had felled and hauled off two of the same trees. Having Paradise Tree Service do this job was money well spent! I highly recommend Gill and his crew. I did not attach a picture after they ground the stump, but all you would see is dirt because you cannot even tell there was a stump.
