I use to recommend this dental office, but not anymore...I had a front tooth cap come off from my childhood so they made me a partial and I thought it was just taking me a while to get used to it, but when I went to another dentist to see what I could do with my bottom teeth, I found out that my partial was made wrong I didn't fit right and it had broken a tooth where the wire was supposed to go not very happy. I was gonna ask for a partial refund but now talking to people they said they probably wouldn't do it. read more

These guys are awesome! My husband and I are visiting Monterey this week on vacation. While picnicking out on the coast, my temporary crown came out! This was a real emergency as we live several hundred miles away. I called CCDC on our way back to the hotel. The office was so understanding of my predicament. They got in first thing in the morning to submit my temporary crown back on. At the office comments the staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. Central Coast Dental Care in Monterey is by far the best Dental facility that I've ever gone to. Everybody is friendly and smiling but the reason it's such a great dental organization is because of their doctor. Their main dentist Dr. Singh is quite frankly is an incredible dentist. No dentist I've have had over decades comes close to Dr. Singh. I use this Dental Office and Dr Singh even though they're out of network for my very good dental insurance, because of his exceptional skill and expertise -- that's how good he is. I highly recommend them for anything from a cleaning to an implant. They're absolutely first class! And besides, having the best dentist I've ever worked with their staff is unbelievably friendly and useful. I had an appointment cancelled without any notification. They stated it was too soon for a cleaning (according to my insurance plan), however, my insurance covers cleanings 3x/yr. They say that they take emergencies. They didn't take my emergency, so there's that. I was told they were closing in 20 minutes. (It was around 420pm.) Here on Yelp it says they close at 5pm. They told me I could make an appointment. But again, that's not how emergencies work. Just truly a total bummer of an experience. read more

I do not reccomend this place. Bad work done with my tooth. The care was not sufficient. Experience with staff was not helpful! Bad work done by the dentist after 3 years of onlay came off big piece and tooth was rotten for long period of time becouse of debriece coming inside bfore that paid a visit at the office after a while work done but doctor singh says it is not bad but turn out bad becouse tooth was rotten inside when big piece cqme off of the onlay part. Well we went in for an appointment for $99 consultation for my dad for implants. However, the examination we received was not clear as to why the Dr. Sumeet Singh couldn't get fixed or adjusted. All we got was "it's a failed implant and I won't touch it." No other suggestions, hope or consultation as how to adjust other than check with your old dentist. He didn't even look at his mouth ... 5 minute consultation $99 & Only looked at x-ray. Very poor bedside manner. read more

Dr. Kaur completely ruined my bite by putting in crowns that didn't fit well. She then blamed me and said my teeth shifted, which is impossible because my retainers from before the crowns still fit. Dr. Kaur then had the audacity to offer to redo 1 crown for free and charge for the second one when she caused these issues. When I called back and told her I'd be leaving a 1 star yelp review she changed her tune and said she would do both for free. However, this isn't the first time she would have to redo crowns for me, she redid one that she messed up previously (for free) and then that tooth got an infection under it and I had to pay her husband Dr. Singh to do a root canal on it. I have spent thousands of dollars with this dentist to leave completely unhappy and with a bite that is so messed up that my straight teeth need Invisalign on them AGAIN. I went to Central Coast Dental for a full evaluation of my mouth to determine all the dental work needing to be done in addition to inserting two implants. I chose Central Coast Dental because Sumeet Singh assured me he offered a 'one stop shop.' The dentist who was treating me for 3 years prior was not able to do so. Relying on his assurances and after his evaluation, he asked me if I wanted to proceed with extraction of one tooth and two implants. He assured me that no other dental work was required. In my opinion, it became clear very quickly that money is more important than patient care or comfort. I was required to pay the initial evaluation fee of $120.00 before the services were performed. I was required to pay the full fee he quoted verbally of $10,000 for one extraction and two implants in advance even though the dental services would be performed over a three month or so period. Now I know why. No estimate was ever given. An invoice was only given after requested. It mistakenly states limited evaluation contrary to the clearly stated reason for my visit. The final invoice was issued, with unanticipated fees added, and sent to me by snail mail despite requesting it be sent by email. Again, now I know why payment in advance is required. I received no written or meaningful pre-op or post-op instructions. No inquiry was made as to my transportation arrangements. Prescriptions were not available until the day of surgery. As I drove myself, I did not feel well enough to collect them until the next day. After a mix up (which of course the dental office blamed on the pharmacy), I was finally able to get my prescriptions in the afternoon the day after surgery. Sumeet and his office staff never followed up to ask if I got the prescriptions and how they were working for me. Both upset my stomach so I didn't take them. I found out later (independently of Central Coast Dental) the antibiotics were strongly advised whereas my Google search (in the absence of instructions from the dental office) indicated they were optional. Within two days after surgery, my chin turned black and yellow bruises were crawling up my cheek and down my neck and my jowls were terribly swollen. I texted the office with the pictures expressing concern for both extensive bruises and swelling. I was told: "Bruising is common, just continue with ice packs. If it doesn't improve by monday, give us a call." I didn't realize the office was closed on Friday. They didn't care anyway. They never called Monday or any day to inquire as to how I was doing. Two weeks after surgery, I went for my follow up appointment. I expressed concern with how I had been treated. Sumeet said: if I lost confidence in him and his office, I should go somewhere else and he would refund monies. (Again, now I know why payment in advance is required.) Sumeet made a comment in passing that a tooth next to one implant might fail. When I questioned why this had not been determined when he did his initial evaluation, he claimed he only did a limited evaluation. I was surprised stating that I had expected a full evaluation, why was he just then identifying other issues?! He replied that he only looked at the implant site. What? I had asked and been assured of a full evaluation. In any event, I couldn't help thinking, the tooth he said would fail was right next door to the implant site and he didn't notice? Yes, I lost confidence in the office. I was lucky to get a second opinion from Monterey Peninsula Dental. They conducted a detailed evaluation (as I had asked of Sumeet) and gave me a detailed treatment plan with estimate of all fees for treatment. I had a very unpleasant call with Sumeet stating I had lost confidence in him and stating I was accepting his offer of a refund. I requested refund of the amount needed for Monterey Peninsula Dental to complete the work of the two implants. He refused. He called me unprofessional. I don't have to be professional. I am the patient. He asked me if I was threatening his license. Only he would know the answer to that question. He held the power because he was holding payment in full. Money rules. I finally received a final invoice reflecting additional, unanticipated fees were deducted from my pre-payment of $10,000 payment. Again, no estimate was given to me. This invoice was sent by snail made despite my request it be sent by email. In addition, it has taken almost two weeks (and I still don't have assurances) of a credit against the financed amount and adjustment in the amounts due and payable. Again, it is clear why payment in full is required in advance. I have been traumatized by the manner in which I was mistreated and abused by Sumeet and his staff. I now have the additional burden of paying approximately $1467.00 more for the same work by an alternative provider. In my opinion, beware as money rules over compassion, kindness, patient care or comfort. read more

So I broke a tooth a while back and since I have bad dental anxiety never really wanted to get it fixed since I was never in pain. More recently the tooth in question started becoming brittle and breaking piece by piece so I figured it was time to get it fixed. My insurance had recommended this place and it is close to home so I gave it a shot and I'm glad I did. All of the staff, not one or two, but all of the staff was very friendly and helped ease my anxiety. As far as Dr. Rice, this guy is amazing. Answered all my questions and concerns while explaining which option was best for my scenario. The actual procedure was fast, efficient and best of all pain free. I waited probably an hour just for a dentist to just walk in and say "anyway we're gonna be removing your molars - and you have this problem and that problem etc." all without even looking me in the eyes. Then when I responded, he tried shaming me to agree to the molars removal. The diagnostic list they gave me was absurd, totaling over $5000 when I just expected to get work done on a cavity or two. There was nothing they wouldn't try to push on me. They had the audacity to diagnosis ALL FOUR OF MY MOLARS as "impacted" despite them having grown in perfectly (you can clearly see it on my xray) Scam artists. Avoid. Never thought I'd be giving a 5-star rating to a dentist, but here I am - living the dream. After recently moving to the area and having gotten a little relaxed with my brushing routine during the Pandemic, I figured it was a good idea to start the new year off fresh with a cleaning. Making an appointment for the cleaning online was easy, and I received a few follow up calls to remind me of the appointment. Parking at the office was ample. The staff at the front desk were very friendly and efficient. After filling out a few new patient forms in the comfortable waiting room, I was let to the cleaning room by the hygienist right away. Jamie was friendly, efficient, and communicated what and why each step was happening. This dentist office is super high tech. I had a Matrix-style camera do a high resolution imaging of my mouth, then Jamie took "glamour shots" of each of my teeth with a wand style camera. We reviewed all of the imaging on a flat screen in the cleaning room, which was really helpful to see and understand why certain areas were being cleaned. The cleaning itself was painless. They also used a cool devise that was wayyyyy better at controlling my saliva that the old wand suction hanging off my cheek at other dentists. The only suggestion I'd have for the office to try and find a way to make it possible for people to fill out the paperwork either in advance, or on a tablet. Everything else during the visit was so high tech that having to use pen and paper to fill out forms stood out. But hey, even the pens they put out were high quality, so I can't even complain about that! Anyways, if you're looking for a dentist in the area - look no further. read more

This is the worst dentist ever. I signed up to do a couple of dental treatments and the Invisalign and I somehow ended up with the extra bill 1 year after the treatment. Whenever I try to call the office I get no response. I had to end the Invisalign treatment with Dr. Singh because he does not take responsibility for his office nor returns any calls when trying to reach him. He advertises Invisalign online but choses Vivo Claro (cheaper brand). I sent an inquiry to Vivo Claro and they did not even contact me, they contacted him instead - which indicates the partnerships between the vendors and dental providers scheming patients. Go with someone who actually cares about his patients, not the business itself. read more

First off..I'm a person who hates the dentist because of a horrible experience at western dental. As soon as I did some looking around and researching dental care in my area I found Pearl Dentistry in Salinas, started my journey there. The staff and doctors were amazing, friendly, welcoming..the dentist I saw there laid out all the options on how to move forward....everything I saw and experienced made me feel comfortable for the first time in 16 years after my western dental experience. After the consultation with Pearl, I was referred to Center Coast Dental in Monterey where they can administer sedation during the session (personal must for me to be sedated...period) I met with the staff in the lobby and was taken into care by Maria (Certified Dental Assistant). Maria made me feel more comfortable than I ever felt in the dentist environment, simple conversations, her demeanor, her voice..all very comforting. But all while she checked me in and calmed me down, she was focused on getting what she needed for Dr Singh as soon as he walked in. She is very professional. Dr Singh is the real deal. I loved how he come in and introduced himself and got into operation options and what's best for my personal situation. after that they got right into it and removed some teeth and infections I had. They were so effective I had to ask "is that it?" . I never once got the feeling that this I just a job for them. I think they are professionals and very passionate about their work. At this point, I won't be going anywhere else. The experience is top tier, plain and simple. These ppl are helping me get rid of the worst pain I've dealt with in 35 years. This was a very positive experience. I recently moved to the area and didn't have a dentist. The staff is very friendly and professional. The location is ideal. The center is very nice. And the prices are good. Dr. Rice went above and beyond the call of duty. I had a cracked filling that he had to replace and I don't "numb" easily. With patience and perseverance, he got me to a point where I was pain-free. He also handled my anxiety about it because I had a prior negative experience with the dentist who didn't give me enough lidocaine. Run, don't walk to this dentistry. So I've been to this location twice now since the pandemic has started. Hands down the best dental experience I've ever had. They are also very cautious with Covid and have great procedures to follow to protect everyone. Everyone is helpful and will answer all and any questions that you have. I have to get my wisdom teeth out and I'm beyond anxious but everyone has been attentive and supportive of my feelings. I know it's something that has to get done so the rest is on me. Just got my teeth cleaned and boy do they shine! I hadn't come to the dentist in about a year so it's always a little nerve wracking to let a stranger chisel away at your teeth. But I had a very positive experience here. I didn't have a very long wait time and not mountains of paperwork to fill out either. As others have commented the office is brand new and is in pristine condition. The x-ray machine seem to be the latest in technological advancement and it went by pretty quickly. Not only did I get x-rays of my teeth but I also had individual pictures of my teeth as well for a thorough exam. My teeth cleaning went pretty smoothly and was quick as well. Dr Priyanka gave me some recommendations but overall I would say I had an A+ report card. It was really quite simple and easy to make an appointment and be seen right away. I think I made an appointment just two days before. They also offer evening appointments which is a rarity to get a teeth cleaning in the evening after work which I appreciate And it's much more conducive to my work schedule. They also have their own private parking lot so you don't need to deal with trying to find parking on lighthouse. Overall, great service. read more

Scheduled cleanings in January then called days before the appointment to say they don't take Tricare anymore. I was so nervous when I first walked into Central Coast Dental Care on Lighthouse Avenue in Monterey. I haven't been to the dentist in several years because of a bad experience I had. Everyone was so helpful in the office and patient rooms. Aracelli was very sweet when taking xrays for me. She was very patient when I had a hard time biting down on the bitepiece. It took a handful of tries to get the best picture of my teeth. Then, when it was time to have an exam, Dr P came in and was so calm and sweet. I felt better when she talked to me as she probed my teeth for sensitivity. Ashley was awesome too. She went over my xrays and everything I needed to know about how the exam went and the cost of care in the future. She also answered all my questions about flossing, brushing, and general home health care for my mouth. I am very satisfied with the care I got after my first dental appointment in over 7 years. My first visit to their new office. Dr Priyanka has become my dentist of choice. I had gone in for the finishing touches to a root canal and crown for 2 teeth. It ended up being an all day event, but all the staff, Ariacelle, Dr P, and Ashley were kind, patient, and confident that everything would be finished, today. As someone who is scared of the dentist. The team at central coast dental care are awesome. I had 2 teeth extractions on the 2nd and a follow up today. I was scheduled for my extraction on the 7th in seaside, but the pain was so bad I called the morning of the of Jan 2nd and they fit me in at the Marina office that day to have them removed. During the procedure Dr. Singh asked if I wanted him to explain what he was doing and I declined, but it was nice that he would have. It was done and over before I knew it. With out any pain.
