First off, the area surrounding the casitas/hotel is quite remote with some houses, cows here and there, and lots of hills. It's very quiet and the property is so charming. We stayed in the Sonrisa casita. There are four total. I loved the design of the casita and the wood burning fireplace was such a nice touch! It looks like the property used to have a cleaning service and breakfast but they no longer offer it, which is too bad. If you don't bring food back yourself, you'll have to go out for food and drinks. There are Coke products and waters in the mini fridge that were complimentary. Nevertheless, the bed was comfy, the fireplace was warm and cozy, and you get a beautiful view of the night sky outside your room. This property is a great choice if you need some quiet time or want something different from a typical hotel.

The ambiance is exceptional! Our room had the most incredible view. Outside we're rolling hills, a nice pool and my favorite, a bocce court! The grounds were impeccably kept with beautiful and interesting flowers, succulents and plants everywhere. We can't wait to go back and enjoy this place again. Gina

My wife and I got married here on 10/28/2017. We selected the venue in November 2016. We saw some…read moreother venues, but once we came here, we knew we wanted to get married here. Jodi Sailors was our main contact, and our day-of coordinator. She's the best! If you're getting married, I don't have to tell you how stressful wedding planning can be. Plus, we live in Orange County, so it was crucial to have a venue contact who communicated with us during the entire process. Jodi was more than we could have hoped for. During the entire process, she promptly addressed our concerns, and brought up potential issues to our attention with plenty of time to resolve them. We couldn't ask for more from Jodi! The food was also prepared by Chef Rochelle, who works at the venue. We did our tasting and were impressed at how delicious everything tasted. For our main course, we choose a plated BBQ tri-tip and chicken with warm pasta salad. We got multiple compliments from our guest about the food, and some even said that it was the best food they've EVER had at a wedding. The serving staff at the reception was great. Most importantly, they made sure that they made sure we ATE at our own wedding, and whenever we needed a drink, they were there to fill our glass. The venue itself is beautiful, but you can see that from the pictures. I'm here to tell you that everything else Cypress Ridge is awesome as well. For me, the most important thing about a wedding is to make sure that your guests have a good time, if for no other reason that you and your spouse are spending so much time and money on it. Thankfully, Cypress Ridge was a huge reason why our guests had a great time at our wedding, and we will always be grateful that they played such a huge part in our special day.

My husband and I came from out of town, which is Ventura, CA. Yes it was far but we don't regret it at all! We were trying to find a venue within our budget and we came here. We met up with Jodi, she was very nice & was so helpful with everything. Communication wise was 10/10, she would respond to our emails quick, and her responses were always so helpful. The price was fair for us and we were able to bring in our own vendors at no extra cost, pretty awesome. We used the outdoor part of the pavilion and it was to die for! The venue itself was amazing & BEAUTIFUL!! Our dream wedding came out better than we expected! Till this day, our family and friends that came to our wedding, can't stop talking about how amazing the venue was and how the set up was. I would definitely recommend coming here for any event! Wish I can give more than 5 stars!!

Can't really give her a 1, because we were not able to use her…read more We know nothing about her, so we contacted her to ask about her service, as well as placed to have the ceremony, etc. She emailed us back with "Let me know exactly what you want and I will give you a quote!" Well, we are not from the area and don't know "exactly what we want" so we gave her an idea, along with the fact that we really are not sure yet. Her reply, again very short and almost rude, was "I do not to any consulting. I can do your service for $295." She added that "I have done over 1000 weddings." Well, with responses like that, she wasn't going to have 1001 be ours. We needed a little bit of assistance in where is good, etc. We got more assistance from a receptionist at a hotel than we did from Andrea - and we were wanting to hire Andrea to do our wedding. Alternatively, we contacted Sandy White, an officiant new to the area. She drove from Los Osos to Pismo to meet with us, gave us advice on the area, and her rate is one third of what Andrea charges. We are not married yet, so we will review her after the ceremony. But definitely don't need "services" like Andrea is providing.

However, many of our out-of-town friends weren't up for a destination wedding on a Monday, so when we realized we didn't have enough people to fill the tent (we expected 50-75 guests), Colleen was still able to help us. She put us in touch with the Pismo State Beach people and we ended up having our reception on a sand dune next to the golf course. We actually took a bunch of wedding photos on the golf course itself, and then Colleen helped us re-locate our wedding across the parking lot on the outdoor patio at Fin's restaurant. It was really lovely and nothing we would have ever figured out how to do on our own. Colleen coordinated our chair set up for the ceremony on the sand dune and was an awesome, completely dependable and calm on-site coordinator for our reception. I had a ton of questions before our big day, and Colleen was always so patient and friendly and helpful.
