Wellll another one bites the dust. Came to this store to buy a gift for my brother in law. And the customer service was less than 1 star. From the moment we came in the bald guy at the front desk ignored us. Super unsurprising he was very nice to everyone else. Want to guess why? Yup you guessed it we were a party of 3 Mexicans and everyone else was white. He didn't even acknowledge us when we went to pay, when he finally did, we got no greeting, no smile, nothing at all. My mother asked for a gift receipt and he sniped at her "we only have paper receipts". I'm going to find a way to report this business cause I'm so tired of being discriminated against at these bougie stores. It's a locally owned business we were trying to support that. Obviously I'll never come here again and I'll tell everyone I know, I'm also going to have to say I'd give zero stars if I could. read more

Found this little golf shop here on Yelp. Wanted my new / old clubs fitted with my old dependable Golf Pride Tour Wrap Midsize grips for my new PXG Metal woods and irons ,,, and a new Superstick oversized for my beloved Scotty Cameron putter. Dropped them off to the store around 11:00 AM this morning. Very helpful cashier got in touch with the appropriate staff member ... I was supplying my own new grips which can be a problem at times for owner owned businesses, but this was no problem here. $3.00 installation for each of the Golf Prides for my new PXG metal woods, Cobra hybrid fairway sticks, and PXG irons right down to sand wedge. $4.00 for my Scotty Cameron's grip Got a call THIS afternoon, advising that they were ready for pick-up. REALLY??????? Couldn't be more pleased with their customer service and turnaround. Walked around the shop after dropping my clubs off and was VERY impressed with their advertised fitting services, and club/bag/shoe/golf ball offerings. We have shopped at Roger Dunn Golf Shop for years. Both my husband and my clubs have come from there. This last time we stopped in was to fix my husbands 3 Iron he busted. They fixed it with no pressure to replace. They are alway very friendly (as long lost friends) and have the best recommendations for courses you may have not played lately. Bought a new putter from them. Used it several times and hated it. Website shows they have 90 day money back return warranty. Took it back with the receipt and was told they were a franchise store and not owned by the company so they did not do the 90 day warranty. Not even for store credit. Nothing on he website that says this only applies to the company owned stores. Won't be back. read more

I Always stop at Roger Dunn when there is one in the area im in. Visiting family this weekend we stopped in to see their used section (i always find good deals at different locations) there was a cleveland driver that had a great price point. I havent ever bought a driver for myself, I use whatever is handme downed. So I asked one of the employees to take a few swings with it and i couldnt be more impressed with the time these guys spent with me. Explaning shaft flex and adjustable loft and how those things effect MY swing. He even sent me on my way with a few extra impact stickers for the face so I can play with it myself at the range. I felt like I was a pro talking with very knowledgeable staff. Even made adjustments to my swing to get some straighter shots. I will absolutely buy my next set of new Irons from this location, and will add it to my list of stops everytime im in the area! Unreal. I heard good things about this place and I wanted to help out a local business, so I go to check it out since I'm looking to purchase new irons. I walk in and nobody greets me(not a big deal but odd and I know they saw me walk in). I continue to look at the irons while I wait for help. Well, the help never came. I stood around for 20 mins waiting for someone to help me out. The part that really bothered me was I saw multiple people walk in and were greeted and given the help they needed. I know I look younger but that is a pathetic reason not to help someone out. Lost my business, on my way to Dicks sporting goods to purchase some irons. read more

This was a great visit. The folks here went way beyond what I would have expected. The young man made adjustments to a Ping G400 Driver and allowed me to hit it in their cage. They used their machine to track swing speed and ball flight. This was the best fitting that I have ever had from anyone. I would recommend them very highly. read more

These guys are total jerks. WORST GOLF SHOP THAT I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! I am a scratch golfer, ie I know all of my specs swing speeds and what all the latest equipment is! When I come in I do it so that I can check out the new stuff and see if I like it. These jerks are motivated to sell you equipment based on what they make commissions on! They will not leave you alone. There is a guy named Rick who is the worst. The dude will just follow you and make you feel uncomfortable. They claim they wont be undersold yet they refuse to price match coupons that you get emailed to you. Go to Golfland Warehouse in SLO. They know how to run a business. Everyone is so friendly and they actually will give discounts and refuse to be undersold. I cant tell you how much I despise this place! read more

I cant speak for the other employees but the guy behind the counter acts like your disrupting his day when your ready to pay. It's hard to walk into Roger Dunn and not buy something! Both my wife and I are big golfers and we've always found everything we've needed here. Their prices may be a little more than Sports Authority or Big 5, but you get what you pay for. We like their quality and selection - and if they don't have exactly what you're looking for they will go out of their way to special order anything. We also enjoy using their indoor simulator - helpful when we're checking out a new driver or irons. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful as well and we've never felt pushed or pressured. read more

Compared to what we get from a service standpoint in Fresno, this place left us hanging. Purchased soft spikes, wasn't even asked to have them installed, rather told to purchase a tool to do it myself, which I was ok with, but after finding a hat and a few other items I went up to the front and clerk walked away, didn't come back, so I never purchased the items I wanted. I went in and stated that I am thinking of new irons. but there had to be a big difference compared to my current clubs. I'm used to forged clubs and I brought mine with me for comparison. Lance started by finding my static setup then loft and lie. He grabbed 6 or 8 clubs and we went to work eventually finding a forged clubs that was 2 clubs longer with a buttery smooth feel. I said I'm convinced but I wanted to go home and think about it. Lance probably thought he would never see me again but he was fine with that and said to call if i wanted them. I got home and told my wife and she said why didn't you just buy them and I didn't have an answer so I called Lance and ordered them. I have yet to find the same clubs cheaper, even on Ebay. One more thing I went to Golf Land and they were friendly enough but didn't have nearly the fitting capability that Roger Dunn did. I can't imagine how to possibly get better service and selection than I received at Roger Dunn in AG. read more

I went in today wanting to upgrade my driver. I went early in the morning just after opening because I knew that would probably be the best time to get into the simulator to try to find the club for me. I was immediately approached by the Manager of the store, Lance. He was courteous and helpful. He let me into the simulator right away, gave me a few pointers and showed me some new and appropriate golf clubs that would match my swing. He helped me relax and was very informative, showing me all the numbers on the computer screen. I learned quite a bit. He certainly knows what he is talking about. I am about a 14 handicap and have been playing golf since 1990. Just recreationally with friends in the Tuesday night league at Monarch Dunes. He hooked me up with a new Ping driver and I got a great deal on some golf shoes. I certainly would recommend Lance and his staff at Roger Dunn Golf to any golfer on any level. 5 stars! read more
