There are a few different style of rides to choose from so be sure to read through each description to avoid any let downs. Each class focuses on riding to the beat of the music; while building muscle and endurance. Each instructor has a radiating and infectious personality making it contagious throughout the class. Expect words of wisdom, motivational phrases and an overall good time. Don't have spin shoes? Not to worry as they offer pairs to borrow and return. Had a blast at CC! I was really sad when my gym removed their cycle program, so moving to St. Pete gave me a new chance to check out some local gyms. I arrived 15 minutes early to my first class as instructed, and the girl at the desk as well as the instructor took good care of me to get me setup with my locker and bike. I really liked this cycling class. It's a shamed it took me almost a year to discover this place. I am moving out of St Pete so I may not be able to go but a couple of more times. I have taken cycling at a few other studios but I was never really satisfied; they were not bad classes just not what I was looking for. I used to be a member of LifeTime in Columbus, Ohio and their cycling classes were all choreographed in a really nice way; each level was unique but easy to follow and had a good "flow". Central Cycling seemed to put the same amount of thought into their class as well. BONUS: I went during Pride week and the ride was called: Experience the pRIDE! The location is easy to find and in trendy but not over-crowded area of Central Ave. The interior is just the right size and the equipment is easy to set up and adjust. When I walked in I felt very welcomed. Great fun studio. It's beautiful inside with great writings on the wall. The instructor was great, music was fun and they have many bike stations and set up all around the instructor. I rented shoes but you can wear sneakers too. I just think it's better and safer to be clipped in to the bike. About a month ago, I made a commitment to myself to try to get back in shape. Having heard from some friends about how much they enjoyed their SPIN classes (at different studios), I decided to give CENTRAL CYCLING a try. Since I live in the neighborhood, I figured it would be convenient (and I would have one less excuse to make for myself). My experience, for the past month, has been awesome. Generally speaking, I HATE gyms and I HATE working out. For me to follow through on something like this, I needed a place that is not only self-motivating, but also non-judgmental. Having never taken a SPIN class before, I started with their Saturday morning "Beginner's Class." This was the perfect introduction to SPIN. Daryl (the instructor) and Amber (the owner) were extremely welcoming. They made sure that I was comfortable setting up my bike, taught me the different settings and positions and asked me about my personal goals. While I didn't know this going in, your first "Beginner's Class" is FREE (which is always a nice bonus). Overall, the music is awesome and the sessions are challenging. However, what I really like about CENTRAL CYCLING is that you are in complete control. You can pre-purchase packages online and pick which classes you want to attend. They offer classes before work (early morning), on your lunch break (mid-day) and in the early evening. During the class, you are in complete control of your workout and can adjust the settings to match your specific abilities. After enjoying my first Beginner's Class, Amber was extremely generous in offering me 50% off my first package. I purchased a 10-pack of classes and was a bit worried (with my work schedule) that I would not be able to use all ten (10) classes before they expired (after 60 days). To my surprise, I used all ten (10) classes in less than 30 days! I've started a routine where I typically attend the Wednesday (6:15 a.m.) and Friday (6:00 a.m.) morning classes. These classes are great for my work schedule. Carly (the instructor) is awesome. The classes are high-energy and the music has a good variety. I also try to attend one weekend class (either Saturday or Sunday morning). In such a short period of time (less than one month), I've already started to see results. My stamina is up and I've lost about ten (10) pounds. Beyond that, I feel better about myself and I have found something that I enjoy and genuinely look forward to. For these reasons, I would definitely recommend CENTRAL CYCLING to anyone that is looking for a fun, yet challenging workout. read more

Finally!!!! An amazing spin studio comes to St. Pete!!! I was an avid Soul Cycler in NY and had practically given up on Spin down here, until today, when I went to my first (free) class at Central Cycling. Music was great and the Instructor keep the class interesting, even though there were only a few of us in the class. The 6:15am 45 min "Express Ride" class is targeted at the working professional and was perfect for me to get a workout in before heading into the office. This place & these people are FABULOUS! We were a little apprehensive about trying spin, but we'd heard from friends that it was worth it. Oh boy, was it! I think I'm hooked now. We used the Groupon to test the waters, but it's on now. The studio is immaculately clean. The instructors we've had have been awesome (Alyson & Laurie) & their music is pretty sweet too. My brother, John, and I joined as a team 8 months a go. We both had some pounds to lose but more importantly he was going to need insulin for his diabetes. He was at least 80lbs over weight and struggling with some back injuries from a previous car accident that limited his exercise abilities. I have a pinched nerve in my neck and some back issues as well... we make a quite the pair. As a physician I knew aggressive, low impact exercise was the best medicine for both of us. We signed up at the spin gym and made a pact to go religiously. And we did. My brother took additional dietary counseling and lost 70lbs in 8 months. Not only did he avoid insulin, he is now off All diabetic and blood pressure medications. we both look and feel great. Spin is not just for the young. it is a great exercise for all ages and is easy on the hips and spine. In particular, we love the special atmosphere Amber has created at central cycling. This place does it right- dimly lit, music at just the right sound level and experienced instructors who love what they do and the riders. Very approachable place and people where Amber and whatever instructor ls leading are always willing to help and welcome you. Routines have enough variation to keep it fresh. Great community spot- this is a Local heart and soul business that attracts people that you want to ride beside. Among the most impressive piece of this gym, is the variation of riders- all sorts of the spectrum. The common thread is that we want an efficient and productive workout- that doesn't feel like a workout- in the least amount of time so that we can maintain and improve our health. Central Cycle (Amber, Daryl & Megan) is everything I expected and more! I reached out to central Cycling on May 10, 2018 regarding setting up my birthday party. I received a quick response from Amber. Central Cycle made the experience very easy. All I had to do was send Central Cycle my guest email address and Central Cycle registered my guest for the class. Central Cycle would send me e-mails every week prior to the party..."Just checking in...we're so excited for your party!" Daryl was the lead instructor and is absolutely incredible. Daryl also reached out to me via email before the party. He made sure we had everyone counted on the guest list, asked my music preferences, and even sent encouraging words to the guest who were participating in the class who were a bit nervous. On the day of my party I was greeted by Megan and Daryl. They gifted me a t-shirt, glow stick, funky glasses, and a happy Birthday Headband. Once all the guest arrived Megan and Daryl helped everyone set up their bikes. The first 15 minutes Daryl went over the basics. Once we had gone over the basics the lights turned off....we were under just the black lights and we were ready to Party. It was honestly the best workout and Birthday party I've ever had! Took beginners course Saturday the 16th. All instructors were there to get the spinners fit properly on their bikes. The lead instructor went over all the terminology he was going to use for our 30 minute ride. The music was pumping and kept our cadence going for the various ride changes, with the instructors roaming around the class to ensure folks were comfortable and grabbed water for us when needed. Very good class for beginners or those coming back into spinning. Took the 1 hour cardio tonight and again, perfect energy with the music and instructor.
