Why I gave the practice 4 stars: 1. I never saw my X-rays even when I was told they would be shown to me on the tv. 2. I have one chipped tooth that is resin filled. It is more than 15+ years old and I don't know how much of the tooth is mine. I let the Dr know that I want to get a new filling. My previous dr recommended a veneer but I wanted a second opinion to see if it was aligned with what my former dentist recommended. Floss & Co Dr couldn't tell where my filling ended bc it wrapped around my tooth. She asked me if I knew where it ended. No..I honestly wouldn't know; this made me lose some confidence in her professional knowledge because I would expect a dr to identify a chipped tooth. So she recommended a crown in lieu of a veneer. What I LOVED: 1. Every staff member greeted me and had a smile on their face. It's like they enjoyed working there. (You don't see that often!) 2. The office is spacious and inviting. If they had a coffee bar, I'd just stay longer to hangout. Usually dental offices are so bland/old/uncomfortable. 3. Free parking across the street and they have their own parking lot.

I had two extractions with her and then started an implant process with Dr. Patel in 2022/2023 after Dr. Daisy left. Over almost three years, I went through three different attempts at getting a crown, and each time seemed more painful than the last. As time went on, I felt like I was bothering them whenever I called them about the pain or mentioned that the implant felt loose. Between the second and third crown attempt, I got a second opinion from another dentist who told me the crown was loose and suggested I go back to let them know. When I returned and mentioned this, I was told it was normal to "feel" that way. It wasn't until I explained that another dentist had confirmed it that they removed the crown and said they'd send it back to the lab. After over a year of this, I honestly started questioning whether I was imagining the pain. The third crown attempt became loose the very next day after it was placed. During my final appointment, Dr. Patel explained that she could bury the implant or I could find an oral surgeon on my own or she could recommend one, to have it removed, as she couldn't take it out herself, despite being the one who had put it in. I decided to seek another opinion and eventually saw an oral surgeon who referred me to a prosthodontist. The prosthodontist confirmed that something was genuinely wrong - the implant hadn't integrated properly, which explained my constant pain. He explained that if I didn't have it removed, I risked serious complications like infection. I found an oral surgeon who removed the implant, which I had to pay for myself. Now I'm recovering from that surgery and, because the process took so long, I need additional corrective treatment. This has put me in debt with more procedures ahead of me. The financial stress on top of the physical pain has been really challenging. What's been hardest is that I put my complete trust in this practice.  The ongoing pain was emotionally draining, and feeling like my concerns weren't being taken seriously made everything worse. I've also had some administrative issues - I actually had to ask for a refund, which really should have been obvious given the failed treatment, and I still haven't received anything back. Email replies take days and days for responses.  My membership also hasn't been canceled and my payment information is still in their system, which adds to my financial concerns. This reflects my personal experience at this practice. Looking back, I wish I had made a different choice about where to have my implant done.

A week before my appointment they made a follow up call which I really respect and it makes me feel safe, and that this place is not sketchy at all. I have a really bad fear of needles and I told them when they came in the room and the doctors and nurses were super nice and did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable. If you are looking for a place to get any extractions or wisdom teeth pulled, I 1000000/10 recommend this place because they are just so nice and respectful. And my insurance covered the surgery.

During my last 2 visits, they have aggressively pushed me to undergo more x-rays. I have explained to them that I had a sister that died of oral cancer at the age of 37. I also explained to them that the ADA (American Dental Association) stated that x-rays typically are only required every 3 years. Today, they waited until I was sitting in the chair and told me if I don't get x-rays today, then I would have to leave. I pointed out to them they could have called me to tell me that and I could have made an appointment with a more ethical dentist. And, by the way, the dentist never came out to tell me any of this. She relied on her poor dental hygienist to give me the unethical news. Apparently, their need to upsell you and to maximize their profits is more important to them than their patients health or desires.

When I scheduled the appointment last week, I provided my insurance information over the phone to the receptionist, who confirmed that everything was in order. However, upon checking in today, I was asked again for my insurance details by a staff member wearing pink or light pink scrubs and a ponytail. After a short wait, I was informed that I had an outstanding balance--something I was completely unaware of. When I explained that I was not informed of this balance prior to my visit, I was asked multiple times if I could pay it--first the full amount and then at least half. I clearly stated both times that I was unable to pay it today. I found it unprofessional to be asked repeatedly after already providing my response. After that exchange, the staff member became visibly frustrated and began attending to other tasks, leaving me uncertain about whether I was still going to be seen. I left the office feeling confused and disappointed by the lack of communication and courtesy. I would appreciate clarification regarding the balance you mentioned, and I'd like to understand your office's policy on informing patients about outstanding charges before their scheduled visit.
