We LOVE ordering delivery from this group and just tonight I learned why they're so good at what they do. The people. Prob have ordered ~20 times, never an order wrong and for bigger orders they throw in some nice free surprises complete with a smiley face on the box. But finally something showed up without the bag of shrimp & sausage we ordered. I called, and the woman who answered was INCREDIBLY nice and informative. We realized it was clear the driver forgot the bag and I got it within 5 minutes. But just how concerned, informative and attentive she was, showed me why they're so good at this. The sauces are all fun, they give you tin trays to pour your delicious food into, cracker tool thing often included, bibs etc. it's the little thing. Food is high quality seafood done right. We typically do shrimp, sausage, catfish is one of my favorites and I dip it into the sauces, then either the crab or some clams in that fire lemon pepper sauce. Anyway, all around excellent, and will support even more now that I've had a chance to learn about the people behind the kindness you see in food preparation. I have ZERO complaints. As newbies to Jersey City, my Fiancée and I were skeptical about where to purchase food , well seafood to be exact. I found The High Seafood on Google and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did ! This was GREAT eat. Al the food came beautifully packed and extremely hot ! My fries weren't sweating and my shrimp weren't soggy .. I LOVE THAT ! I loved my Basket. My Fiancée got the Catfish Basket and enjoyed his food as well. I purchased the Mini Boil just for us to try it out. I love a good a seafood boil and even more when the butter Sauce is on POINT ! Needless to The High Seafood House Special sauce got it ! Next time I have to have it a little spicy ! I'd recommend this place to anyone who likes seafood. Reasonable prices and good quality food. This place just opened down the street and is offering 10% off for the grand opening week, so I gave it a try. They cheerfully took my takeout order and said it would be ready in ~10 minutes. I picked it up about 15 min later, so by the time I got home, it was in it's container for ~15 min. I got sweet potato fries and a soft shell crab Po'Boy. The sweet potatoes fries were soggy (but tasted fine), and the sandwich was a bit heavy on the bread. There were two decent sized lumps of fried crab. To be fair, I should've known better with the fries, as I don't often have good luck with takeout sweet potato fries. I'd say the food would be better if you eat there, but it's a takeout spot. I'd recommend trying one of the platters and a different side, as I may have gotten unlucky. read more

For lunch, my husband and I were pleasantly surprised how delicious, fresh, fast the food came out. We ordered online for pickup and the food was ready in five minutes. We placed an order for the catfish Po' boy sandwich, the oyster Po' boy sandwich, and the Tasting Combo which included shrimp, mussels, sausages, & snow crab in the House Special sauce. The sandwiches came out really good. We especially liked how soft and flaky the catfish. The Tasting combo was very fulfilling. We thought it came with a decent amount of seafood. The mussels were very fresh and it did not disappoint. The sauce was bold and flavorful. I would like to try other sauces on the lighter note. All in all, this restaurant is fairly new in the neighborhood. It is great for takeout rather than dining. I would definitely give this food establishment another try! read more

Really great seafood takeout! Had the soft shell crab basket with fries & a side of hush puppies. Crab was tender, not over cooked & not greasy. So delicious! Fries were fresh & not greasy. Hush puppies were nice as they had good pieces of fresh corn & were super crispy & not dry. Overall, highly recommend. The staff was super nice when came in to pick our food up. Crabs are drenched in imitation clarified butter and taste skunky. Shrimp fried rice was edible but light on the tiny shrimp. Miss Just Be'Claws downtown. I tried this restaurant twice , definitely wouldn't recommend I tried the seafood and I also tried lemon pepper wings , first time I ordered seafood online second time I went to pick up wings .. it's basically a small spot in the hood kind of that look like a old Chinese restaurant when you go inside , it's next to a liquor store that had a couple drunk guys outside and the seafood wasn't as clean to me as other restaurants nor was the wings , when you open the wings it was the black looking stuff , I definitely wouldn't buy again and I gave it 2 attempts just wasn't for me , the seafood wasn't horrible , it just wasn't hitting like the usual seafood restaurants and at that they give you very little amount .. read more

I have left a review before but this one will include pictures. Mini combo is very mini. 1lb crawfish did not seem like a pound to me. Look at picture you be the judge. I feel the one pound included the 2 piece corn it came with which could be at least 4oz on their own. Tasting combo was an ok bargain. Advice if you want different things order them separately. Adding them cost more. For example I was going to order 1/2lb crawfish with side (7.50) and add black mussels (9.00). I decided to order crawfish with side for 7.50 and black mussels with side 8.50 and you get two extra corns for .50 cheaper or potato whatever side you choose. I would think if you added something it's would be a little cheaper not more then ordering it separately and you get more food. Food was flavorful. Crawfish wasn't really that good just ok. Onion rings (3.00) are good but you get a little only enough for one person. read more

Probably the best shrimp boil you're going to get between the Jersey shore and Massachusetts. I ordered the Taster's Combo B (shrimp, sausage rings, green and black mussels, a half an ear of corn, and one potato). Quite filling for one. Everything was cooked perfectly; the corn was sweet and succulent, the potato was silky, the seafood was fresh and it was sauced to order. All for under $10 (I didn't order a drink). The place was immaculate (even if it was a bit underwhelming in décor) and did not smell of fish or heavy frying oils, and I walked in about an hour before closing (10PM). For a fast food take-out joint in a residential neighborhood on a major thorough fair, this is an unexpected surprise and a welcome addition to the standard pizza and 'chinese' take out joints. read more
