Mini Boil .. 1 Crab Leg Cluster , Corn , Potato

I have ZERO complaints. As newbies to Jersey City, my Fiancée and I were skeptical about where to purchase food , well seafood to be exact. I found The High Seafood on Google and decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did ! This was GREAT eat. Al the food came beautifully packed and extremely hot ! My fries weren't sweating and my shrimp weren't soggy .. I LOVE THAT ! I loved my Basket. My Fiancée got the Catfish Basket and enjoyed his food as well. I purchased the Mini Boil just for us to try it out. I love a good a seafood boil and even more when the butter Sauce is on POINT ! Needless to The High Seafood House Special sauce got it ! Next time I have to have it a little spicy ! I'd recommend this place to anyone who likes seafood. Reasonable prices and good quality food. Can't go wrong especially when you food comes still hot as hell ! We enjoyed and will again

Ordered via Uber eats Saturday night with no expectations but wanted to try somewhere new that wasn't a huge franchise. So glad my family tried this place ! The food was delicious, the portions were huge and the delivery was fast. Everything was fresh and perfectly seasoned. Highly recommend this hidden gem will definitely be ordering again.

Crab Po'Boy & Sweet Potato Fries

This place just opened down the street and is offering 10% off for the grand opening week, so I gave it a try. They cheerfully took my takeout order and said it would be ready in ~10 minutes. I picked it up about 15 min later, so by the time I got home, it was in it's container for ~15 min. I got sweet potato fries and a soft shell crab Po'Boy. The sweet potatoes fries were soggy (but tasted fine), and the sandwich was a bit heavy on the bread. There were two decent sized lumps of fried crab. To be fair, I should've known better with the fries, as I don't often have good luck with takeout sweet potato fries. I'd say the food would be better if you eat there, but it's a takeout spot. I'd recommend trying one of the platters and a different side, as I may have gotten unlucky.

Really great seafood takeout! Had the soft shell crab basket with fries & a side of hush puppies. Crab was tender, not over cooked & not greasy. So delicious! Fries were fresh & not greasy. Hush puppies were nice as they had good pieces of fresh corn & were super crispy & not dry. Overall, highly recommend. The staff was super nice when came in to pick our food up. Glad I gave this new spot a try!

The Ricotta Gnocchi came after about 15 minutes and was deliciously creamy, and cooked perfectly where it was both tender and provided a chewy texture which we found enjoyable. The portion was on the smaller side which we were informed by our server. It also looked very pretty as well! The duck breast and the faroe island salmon both came after another 20 minutes, which took quite a while since they weren't really that busy at the time. The duck breast was tender with a crispy skin that was paired deliciously with its cherry jus, so I highly recommend getting that! However, the salmon was overcooked and quite bland compared to the other two, which was quite disappointing and left us feeling hungry despite spending over 100 for 3 dishes. Although we enjoyed some of their selections, the high price tag did not really justify both the ricotta gnocchi appetizer-like portion, and the underwhelming and bland faroe island salmon. The Roxy has potential of being amazing, so I hope they take into consideration this review to continue to improve and change up their menu. Their menu is ever evolving, so they're definitely worth a visit if their updated menu appeals to you! Thank you for reading and best of luck! (:

And as a bonus, it has not yet been "discovered" by the Yelp Elite / food influencer crowd (besides yours truly). The Alexandrian Style Shrimp was huge and delicious, but the Grilled Branzino (and really, any whole grilled fish) is the big, belting diva of the menu and one you should not miss. Whole, ground spices are packed into every bite care of lovely marinade, and your teeth will rejoice at how tender the meat is. Entrees all come with generous, complimentary portions of salad, tahini and pita, as well as lots of fluffy rice, so you can't walk away hungry. The prices are on the higher side, sadly--it seems nowhere is immune to inflation these days--but at least you'll get a ton of bang for your buck.

A Little Unassuming Gem for Alexandrian Food in JC…read more I found this place on a Eater Jersey City list and wasn't expecting much but the food was surprisingly delicious. The space is small, about 8 tables, with dated, seventies decor, complete with plastic on the tables. Only one woman in the kitchen. We had the grilled Orata, which came with rice, salad, babaganoush and tahini sauce, side of eggplants with peppers in tomato sauce and the Alexandria style shrimp. Everything was fresh, the fish grilled to perfection and the shrimp well-seasoned. There is also a sandwich menu, but it was not available that day. This place as all of the elements I love in small businesses; no pretention, no gimmicks and no "fusion"...just authentic, simple, home made food, from kitchen straight to my stomach with no orchestra and fireworks. My only gripe is that the prices are high but given that food costs have risen so quickly in the last few years, I completely understand.

At the best part, selection and offerings do not disappoint. A bright and welcoming space, the store is stocked with various prepackaged goods, including unique items, such as black cuttlefish gnocchi. This fish market is a great addition to the area and I was amazed by the variety of wild caught fresh fish they have. Their selection varies but for the most part I've been pleased. I've had the Dorado, Branzino, Faroe Island Salmon, the cod, and the monkfish. They have even had sardines which are my favorite. Fresh whole sardines are hard to come by. All of the fish that I had tasted good and was very fresh. The staff members are very friendly and are eager to help. They clean your fish and cut it however you like. Definitely a great experience if you're a fish lover like myself. I plan on going back to try their scallops and clams.

We didn't have a reservation, and walked in. Luckily we were able to grab a table. But the issue was that it was extremely hot and humid inside. it was like their AC was broken or simply wasn't turned on. The service was also pretty bad, the waiters forgot orders and or took a while to stop by our table. The biggest reason i gave it 2.5 out of 5 stars is the price of food, vs the quality and or quantity.... again, i didn't pay, but i ended up getting a lobster roll with some chips for $35 bucks, and the lobster roll was severely lacking. It was small, and i didn't get a lot of lobster meat on the roll. If i had to pay for it, i'd be pissed. i will have to say, the views are nice, if you are able to sit outside.
