We waited 45 minutes in the drive-thru and then they told me my medicine would not be ready until Monday! I said, "I have two messages saying it's ready and I've been sitting here 45 minutes!" When we started using the Urbandale MediCap Pharmacy. Immediately we noticed a huge difference in the more personalized service from the staff at MediCap. They have all of the same medications, personal healthcare items, and immunizations that one would find elsewhere. Pricing is similar too and they accept all the same insurance payments. I would NEVER recommend someone go here unless they have literally no other option within a 2-hour radius; you will get your medication quicker driving to Nebraska than you will driving 2 miles to this location. Whoever the manager of this Walgreens is, PLEASE FIX YOUR PHARMACY STAFF! If this was a onetime thing it wouldn't be a big deal, but this is every single time, for years! My mother & I ended up switching pharmacies due to the number of issues we've had here, and my husband is planning on it now as well. It's unfortunate. They have a pick up window for the pharmacy so hey, you don't even need to leave your car on those cold winter days! The staff is super nice and I always forget that Walgreens has turned into not only a big pharmacy, but you can get food, beer, candy, toys, cleaning supplies, beauty supplies, photos developed and more! Yesterday I just stopped here for some brews and the selection was pretty darn good for a Walgreens... I thought. I also snagged a couple gourmet giant suckers.. (2 for a dollar!) They hit the spot!
