Whenever I look for help at a Sephora, I usually like to ask someone whose makeup I admire. It helps me get a better idea of how they will be able to guide me. Usually I judge a Sephora by how (relatively)clean their display samples appear to be. Samples are gross in general, but nasty samples are just atrocious to look at, and usually equals lazy employees. This spot doesn't have that. All the products are nicely displayed and there isn't a mess anywhere. I wish I would've scheduled a consult with this one employee I was admiring from afar. Her makeup was absolutely gorgeous, like spooky old Hollywood in the best possible way. Whoever you are Sephora girl, your look is on point!

I also didn't end up liking my French tip I got on my toes. blood got into the white and she didn't notice. I think she just wanted to be done with me. I thought I could avoid shipping costs as well as going in to the store by doing curbside service. Unfortunately, even avoiding going into the store, you won't be free from those same issues. I contacted corporate about this issue. Long rant ahead! I received a text stating that my curbside pickup order was ready. I pulled up in a parking spot, clicked the "I'm in a parking spot" and waited. I did this same thing last week... they brought me my order after 10-15 minutes. I waited 10 minutes. At one point, I literally saw through the window a staff member holding my order - at least three associates standing in a circle - and looking at my car. They then set it down. I waited a few more minutes, wondering if they were busy or what the problem. I googled the store's phone number. When the sales associate answered the phone, I got a lecture about how I have to pull up in front of the store and parking in a spot is unsafe. They told me the text worked and they knew I was there. Ok, well, then why didn't you call me and let me know I needed to pull up to the door? They saw my car! They literally had my order in hand. I'm not upset at the policy, I'm upset that at least 3 of their staff found my order, saw me parked, and decided "whatever, just let her wait, she'll eventually call and figure it out." This disregard for customers has just been constant at this location for years. Just don't give your money to this location; order online or go to one of the other two locations in Des Moines.
