The man behind the counter tells me I am an ***hole because I am not willing to wait 5 more minutes after helping the person behind me first? Really? That treatment of customers is inexcusable, reprehensible, unacceptable and totally unjustified. What a twisted and backward way of doing business! I'm a used car dealer and for what it's worth I do lots of business with junkyards to buy new and refurbished parts. This is my first and last trip to central jersey auto salvage ever for a number of reasons. I was looking for an alternator for a 2008 Mitsubishi. When I called central jersey auto salvage they told me they had the part tested and it was on the shelf. I drove about 45 minutes to get it, and when I arrived I was very disappointed to find that the part was still in the car. Something I can live with though, even though I was told it was on the shelf and tested (by not being taken out, the part was likely never tested). After waiting about 45 minutes in the office I received the part at the quotes price and paid cash. Once I brought the part back to my shop my mechanic told me the alternator I purchased had the exact issue as my original one! Things happen, and I wasn't mad that I was lied to about the part being tested, I just wanted to receive a working one so I could sell the car. Once I called I was told it was impossible to be inoperable since it was tested (again, it was evident the part was never tested, it wasn't taken out of the car until I arrived). I was informed that they didn't have another to replace it, which is normal business because I wouldn't anticipate them to have multiple of this car in stock. When I went to return the part I was told by the man who represented himself as "the boss" that I was unfair in not giving him a chance to find a replacement, however I needed to sell the car and couldn't waste time waiting for him to track a new one down. He told me he was totally unable to give me a refund and couldn't do anything With the part he clearly misrepresented to me. When I went to peacefully leave his facility after he refused to give me any type of resolution and left the broken part on the counter, I stated to the owner that he clearly needed $60 more than I did and I would never be back and to have a nice day (in a calm manner) the man that identified himself as "the boss" told me "you don't know who I am you can't just do that" than used profanity and called me multiple names. All of this while bustiers were in his office. As I walked out of the office he continued to follow me to my car calling me names and cursing. Now like I've stated before I do business with many businesses like this and most are excellent businessmen and very kind accommodating people. Central jersey auto salvage however is exactly what you'd expect from a junkyard- a business run by people that are against the customer and only interested in the bottom line. Think twice before you shop here, I left insulted, degraded, and with a broken part and no resolution. read more

spoke to a gentleman about a fender he was great polite said to call by Thursday to order it so it could be pulled,so thursday i called to order it and spoke to someone else and he told me a price of 15 dollars more than the polite man did,,so i told the second guy that i spoke to someone the other day and this guy started flying of the handle telling me i was rude and said i made him look like a a**hole, then proceeded to tell me that he can't help me and not going to sell me the part.. do yourself a favor and never deal with this place, customers should never be treated like this read more

Just in the year 2015 I have gone to them 3 times to replace stock car parts because some person gets kicks out of stealing parts off my car! Regardless these guys have always pulled through. Usually takes them like 1-3 days to get the part in. They can provide install also for an additional fee. Fast, friendly, knowledgeable, and priced right. These guys are are awesome! You always have the option to not accept the part that comes in. If you inspect it and it's not to your liking, it's all good. Super clean and comfortable waiting area as well. Don't pay full price!! Shipping took two week, his friend installed it for me and that took two weeks. Horrible people, I just called to get a price on a part and the first person who answered sounded annoyed I was calling, and then when I asked for a price, I was transferred to the owner, who appears to be in a bad mood, got rude with me for no reason. He told me he refuses to give me a price on the part because I sounded rude! Can you believe that? This guy sounded hostile from the minute he answered the phone, and then accuses me of being rude, and hangs up on me! All I wanted was a price on the part they listed for sale online. WTF read more

I bought a car from them. Within 3 hours of driving off the lot the engine light came on. I provided them the information and they informed me that I bought the car as is and it is not there responsibility. They simply told me that it's "probably the gas cap" and that should be an easy fix. I got the gas cap fixed and my engine light was still on. I went to pep boys and they gave me a bill of $1,514 from the engine light being on that I told the car sells man. I told him the situation and he was simply rude and uninterested in helping me resolve the situation when I reported that the engine light came on immediately. In all, the customer service is horrendous! The lowest star I could provide them was 1, I wish I could have given them none. read more

First and foremost, these guys are extremely professional and well organized. Called about part - got a fair price; showed up the next day, waited for about half hour, got my part - perfect, and was on my way. You can completely forget about your typical "junk yard" environment. From nice looking receipts to a clean and friendly front office / waiting area, this place is great. They even have a huge flat screen TV for customers waiting and a water cooler! Impressive indeed. p.s. the part I bought was just a door mirror, and the experience was so positive as described. David said he would make it right, but his answer is for me to go somewhere else and pay to fix it myself. Don't understand these men. I wrote a review last year around this time. This experience was less infuriating than the last, but definitely not successful. I have received emails every so often from Dave since the first negative review. And as you can imagine, he has been more pleasant however things just have not worked out still. I wanted to make a reasonable offer on a 2013 Hyundai Elantra salvage title. A calculated risk I was willing to take on. I've done my research and would never try to low ball someone, but also will never pay for a car more than it's rightful value. They are attempting to sell a reconstructed salvage vehicle for the same amount as the same car with the same mileage and of the same year that DOES NOT have a salvage title. Even after admitting that they know that a salvage vehicle is usually valued 40% less than the same vehicle that isn't a salvage they believed my offer was unreasonable. I would be careful before deciding to do business here. read more

When I got there, the part was actually slightly bent, but a price was agreed upon that left me happy with the purchase. A very helpful mechanic helped me remove the old part and install the new one. If I could give this place -10 stars I would. I have never been treated so rudely and unprofessionally in my life. I called on a Friday to see if they had a replacement part for my vehicle and they did. I told them I would be there the following day (Saturday). They said "Great, we close at 4 so come anytime before then." They put a $25 deposit on my credit card to hold the part for me. The following day I left work early to make the drive from Philadelphia, and along my way I called with a question about their address. The gentlemen was instantly abrasive and before I could even finish my sentence told me they decided to close early and would be leaving at 3 instead of 4. I said "Okay, well I'm already on my way and less than 24 hours ago you told me that you close at 4 and I took off work early" etc. He replied with "Oh well, it's cold out." I said "Okay, my GPS says I'll be there at 3:06. Is that okay?" He said no, started cursing at me and said that they wouldn't wait the six minutes (even though they weren't supposed to close until 4). How hard would it have been to pick up the phone and call me to let me know they were closing early? They knew I was coming that day. How hard is it to not curse at your customers? Hard for these guys. There are much better auto places to give your hard earned money to. Don't even waste your time with these jerks. read more

I wanted to buy a car for my granddaughter's high school graduation as she will be commuting to college in the fall. I had a limited budget and I knew I wanted a Toyota Corolla. I began looking a month prior to her graduation and one of the first places I went was Central Jersey Auto Trading. I test drove a Corolla that I liked and I told Mike I would be back in a few days with my husband. Mike graciously gave me the Carfax and there was absolutely no pressure. When I went back with my husband, Central Jersey Auto had thoroughly gone over the car and replaced the brakes even though I never mentioned the brakes when I test drove the car. My husband also really liked the car so we discussed an offer with Dave and he accepted - there was no haggling! Because this was a surprise for my granddaughter, Dave agreed to hold the car for a month with a deposit. Central Jersey Auto even delivered the car while my granddaughter was at her graduation. Her graduation made it a great day - the car made it a perfect day! My husband and I have bought a lot of cars over the years, both used and new. Dealing with Central Jersey Auto was the best car buying experience we ever had. Everyone there was friendly and helpful. I would not hesitate to buy another car from them and/or recommend them to someone looking to buy a used car. read more
