This is the reason I have stayed with them so long. They are all thorough, caring and friendly people and I have had nothing but great experiences with all if them. That being said, I have never in my life met a staff that I have disliked as much as theirs. Not only are they completely rude and make you feel like a complete burden, anytime you call, but they are so unprofessional when you are in the office, as well. Don't expect to be greeted with a smile, it's more of a "what do you want"??? I get a sinking feeling in the out of my stomach anytime I have to call there. You're immediately put on hold for 5+ minutes (this happens every single time I call) and when someone finally picks up, you get a very defensive "why do you need To come in"..."what do you want"... "What are your symptoms". I understand thoroughness but you're not my doctor and I don't want to tell a rude lady on the phone my personal problems. Furthermore, On a recent visit, I waited 35+ minutes in a waiting room (which was by no means packed) only to see the staff, turn on the answering service and eat lunch, that a Pharma rep had brought them, in front of all of us; ignoring patients, on both the phone and in the waiting room. They were also talking loudly about "what a pain" this one can be, etc. I was embarrassed for them. It really is unfortunate because the doctors and nursing staff are fabulous and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The people of OSP turn your worst fear into a "Day at the spa". After prodding from my Girl I made the call. Kim in Scheduling took my call and could not have put me more at ease. She was very thorough in taking my information, explaining what I was required to do to prep, how to make that easier and the whole process from start to my ride home. Her partner at scheduling Lisa was available to answer any last minute questions over the phone. I've been told the fasting is the hardest part. That is true, however, the amount of clear liquids you drink in prep, takes away the hunger. The day of my appointment I was received in a timely manor and completed the last of forms. My Nurse Barbara was very pleasant and actually had me laughing. She found my vain like a true pro. I understand she was an ER nurse. I'll take a veteran nurse over a NP any day! Dr. Fields, my anesthesiologist, came in an equally jovial mood. As with all the members of OSP staff, I received a complete run down of what was to happen to me that visit. He too put me at ease. You can tell the whole staff work well together. Dr. Maki came by and ran me through the questions and explanations. He was patient, calm and smiled. My experience with doctors is you are in the assembly line. They are rushed and preoccupied. I had Dr. Maki's full attention. He too gave me the confidence that all was well. Another friendly OSP staff member moved me to the procedure room. Two minutes of small talk and the next thing I know I'm waking up back in the prep-area. Barbara greets me and offers juice to wake up. Dr. Maki comes by with a couple findings. Again he was very thorough in his explanation. All minor, but you will not know if you don't go. Office experience with the staff and doctor were excellent and was impressed with the iPad check in…read more/ new patient procedure where you can even pay the copay on the iPad. Overall - everything was explained very well by the doctor and was very personal. The most important thing is that surgery went well and the follow-ups post op were with the doctor and EVERYTHING was explained about recovery. The practice has a nurse you can speak to over the phone from home regarding post-op questions. Big help overall, thanks again to everyone involved.

I had a small one day procedure was told to come in at 7:30 am. I got their early bc didnt know how traffic would be and paperwork. Lol. Sat in waiting room for quite awhile before they even took me. Then finally went in put on that lovely gown. The nurse had a very difficult time finding a vein for IV Boo!!! 2 sticks later...and painful. She was very apologetic and showed great empathy.. she gave me a warm blanket. All the people that needed to speak to me, spoke to me and didnt treat me like I was an idiot. Even the dr. That was giving me anesthesia he was super duper nice. My doctor came in explained things in great detail even his intern. Which was so nice. Although I'm not a fan of st. Peters hospital, it was a very pleasant experience. So why only 3 stars? I ended up being there for 5 and a half hours. The first time I had this procedure at another facility I wasnt there that long of a time and pain meds were better. Lol So hopefully I dont have to go back..next time it will probably take 8 hrs. I guess that's what they mean by same day procedure as long as it's in that "time window" lol. So if you have to go here be prepared to be their quite awhile but the staff definitely make up for it..sometimes..

Extended hours that are far better than others in the area. + Location very easy to get to. + Adequate amount of parking. + Walk ins accepted. + Vast acceptance of insurance types. Cons: - Unprofessional and Rude Staff. Customer service is not their skill set. - Wait time can pass 1 hours with only a handful of people waiting. - Incorrect filing of dates and categorization of visit. Unskilled billing personnel. - Dated and not a cleanest place. There are too many other professional establishments in the area to choose from. Granted the hours are excellent, but that is basically the only advantage this place has over the other as well as accepting nearly any type of insurance. If you're looking for a fantastic pediatricians to take care of your little one but can tolerate bad customer service from other staff, then this place may work for you. This place has absolutely no concept of customer service.

One computer for public use in a corner of the room. Very slow though. The general waiting area is is average sized, maybe on the spacious side. Not every seat has always been occupied, so there is room for everyone there. When the nurse calls your name, there is another small, tiny waiting area with about 4-6 seats (?) Here you wait to get weighed, asked some basic questions, and then brought into a room to see the doctor. Nurses are sweet, some have gregarious personalities, which is good when dealing with sick patients. Sometimes they would have a little attitude, but nothing too terrible. I suspect that it has more to do with a long tiring day, than them purposely being a little too abrupt or curt. Most are attentive, listen to your concerns and needs, and are willing to accommodate however they can. There was one time my Mom was brought to a back room for her treatment, and I made a quiet comment to my mother why we weren't in the main room. The nurse over heard and moved us, even though I hadn't meant for her to do that. So they take initiative here. Seats are the reclining type, so you can get your treatment and be semi-comfortable -- close your eyes, take a nap, stretch your legs out. Also a water cooler there with hot/cold water options. Rooms where you see the doctor are generic type of rooms, small, very white, organized and clean, some chairs for family members to sit with you. Parking lot is small, but there will always be spaces somewhere because businesses/offices are all clustered together. There will be an opening in one of those lots.
