Absolutely unacceptable experience. I paid for a full MRI, expecting a professional service, and instead I was given a blank disc -- no images, nothing. Because of their mistake, I showed up to my doctor's appointment and he couldn't review anything. My entire visit was wasted, and I still got charged by the doctor because they didn't do their job correctly. This isn't a small issue. When you're dealing with medical imaging, accuracy and attention to detail matter. Their error delayed my care, cost me more money, and forced me to waste even more time going back to the imaging center just to get what I already paid for. There was zero accountability on their end. If you're considering coming here, understand this: You are trusting them with your health, your time, and your money. If they can't even provide the basic product -- the actual MRI images -- imagine what other mistakes slip through. This experience showed me how careless and unreliable they are. read more

I used to work scheduling MRI's for a group of very renowned physicians and aside from imaging in the hospital, this is the one facility they would be ok with for their patients. The time came recently that I needed my own MRI and I knew I'd be in good hands here. They offer affordable pricing, quality imaging, and the radiologists are reliable. Everything ran very smoothly for my appointment. I was taken in within a few minutes of my appointment time and the report was received promptly within 24 hours. The MRI experience is very good and the billing process itself is mentioned up front. The only problem was that there was no communication before a nearly $200 charge was debited from my account. An unexpected debit in that amount can negatively impact a person's finances, particularly if it happens to coincide with other automatic bills, which could result in overdraft fees. If the patient is informed about the upcoming charge at least a few days in advance, perhaps they can budget for it. But this is not possible when the money is just withdrawn without warning. read more

There have been many times where my insurance company either denies a procedure or simply takes their sweet time to approve it. CMI offers very affordable self-pay options. A young lady from CMI called me Monday to schedule my MRI. In the midst of scheduling the appt I specifically asked her how is traffic in the morning because I do not live down this way. She said that it was honestly a hit or miss. Fine. I come this morning for my appt and I am informed that my appt was scheduled for 7 PM! I know for a fact traffic is crazy at that time. I also know that I would NEVER schedule an appt for 7pm. I have a child to tend to. So not only did I wake up early for nothing and drive 40 minutes south to this place, now I have to come back yet again. Not to mention the benefits person, who hadn't come in yet, still has not ran my insurance. I am most certainly going to call my doctor when they open and see if I can go somewhere else because not only did I wake up early for this but now I am also late for work and may have to take additional time off to come here. The young lady up front wanted me to reschedule for tomorrow in the morning but I am not going to wake up early again for nothing. Absolutely ridiculous. What sucks even more is the fact that she didn't even attempt to try and accommodate me, at all! More than one person should know how to check benefits. Not to mention I have already been here before. At most 4 months ago. Nothing has changed. Keep in mind I made my appt on Monday, therefore at latest benefits should have been verified on Tuesday because I'm sure the other people that were there insurance was verified yesterday. read more

From my first contact with CMI South, I was impressed with their office staff, especially Millie. They were kind and carefully explained every step of the process from setting up the appointment with insurance approval to receiving the CD after the MRI. The facility was super clean. I will not hold it against them that the people in the waiting room were entitled and self-serving. While there appeared to be ample seating, some of their clientele treated the waiting room like their personal home...using an extra seat to clean out her purse, while charging her phone, and then putting her feet on the chair instead of offering it to anyone who was standing. I would give 5 stars to Mike the MRI technician! Mike was extremely professional. He was polite and friendly! Mike did a outstanding job! The problem area is the front desk they are biased, unprofessional and rude. They spoke loudly so other customers could hear the discussion. They did not verify my insurance and were requesting $100 copay; when I was NOT required to pay a copay. I had to insist they call my insurance and verify that I had NO copay. Then they required my credit card to put on file. When I asked why they said the have to put a credit card on file for everyone. When I asked for the office manager; that person REFUSED to talk to me, to address the problem. As I sat waiting I could hear other the interactions with other customers and not once did they ask for credit card from any other customer. Even those who were there for the first time. I was the only person who did not look white or they did not speak to me in Spanish which I speak. This is why I said they were biased. read more

My Doctor continues to send me to this place and every time, its a horrible experience! when you call they are rude and place you on eternal holds, they wait forever to process your authorization after the doctor sends it to them, and to top today they called me to say my MRi was approved and to come in at noon, after having me drive 45 minutes and wait in the lobby for half an hour they tell me it was still pending and they would call me when it gets approved.The level of irresponsible behavior and inconsideration towards CUSTOMERS is UNACCEPTABLE. read more

This is the worst place I have even been to do imaging. There is always something wrong there. First time was in December the machine for the MRI broke so they had to reschedule my appointment. Second, I went there and fill out the forms on the iPad but because the insurance issues I had to reschedule it again. Third time, January 2023, I had an appointment at 11:30 am. I received a notification the day before saying that my appointment was at 1:30pm without asking me. I called the place and they put me to talk to the manager which she tried to push it to 12:00pm. I said that I already had made arrangements for my 11:30 am and could not change it. She said ok come at 11:30am. I arrived at 11:15 am to be sure I wouldn't get there late. I had to fill out forms again because this lady at the front desk said New Year all new sistem. What? I said you do not have any records of the patients ? She said NO. It is hard to believe. Also she tried to ignore me when I was saying that it was late. At 12:30 pm I was still waiting. I had to asked for my refund and leave. The manager apologized many times saying they are having problems with the machine and many other silly excuses. I spent so much time go to this place far away from where I live. My doctor recommended this place and I already told the office of him that this place is horrible. This whole thing was so pathetic. I wonder how they can still be in business. My podiatrist sent me here to have my heel spurs scanned using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), which I have had the pleasure of trying before when I was much younger. Unlike my previous visit with an MRI machine however I didn't have to be motionless inside a large machine. This facility has a smaller unit which scans feet and limbs. Pretty much anything that can fit into a hole 10 inches diameter. Otherwise they also have the larger machine. I scheduled my visit for 8:30pm which means you check-in, fill out paper work, and are ready to be scanned by 30 minutes later, in my case 9pm. I received a call 15 minutes to 7pm saying I could come earlier, which was nice. I got there at 7:30pm and was ready to be scanned or imaged at 8pm using their smaller machine. The affected area are my ankle hind-foot on both feet, and they took about 10-15 minutes per foot. The technician gave me a locker to put my non essentials (these machines are essentially large magnets--so they will pull anything metal into it which is why you want to list any metal implants or screws you have inside you) and sat me down on a recliner with headphones and an emergency squeeze button that could be pressed if I felt any discomfort. I went to sleep basically while the machine went to work. This imaging technique is not damaging to you as there are no X-ray radiation utilized. The only exposure is electromagnetic field which is less know what the long term effects are to adult humanoids. Alas I felt that the study results of this were well worth the long term effects exposure to EMFs as I love my sport of running and it has caused some trauma to my tendonitis insertion where some troublesome bone spurs have developed. Anyhow in 30 minutes the imaging was complete. I paid $100 copay (BCBS insurance) and received a CD which I will bring back to my podiatrist to assist with her prognosis and diagnosis. The folks here were super professional and it was nice to be able to come this late in the evening. There is plenty of parking out front. I would come back but I hope my health holds so I don't have to. read more

I had a 6:00 p.m. appointment for Friday, November 20th, 2020 so I left work one hour earlier to be there 30 minutes before. I enter the reception at 5:30 p.m., there was one lady seating on the right and another lady with the receptionist. The receptionist asked me if I had an appointment and I reply that I did have a 6:00 p.m. appointment, and she told me to go outside and wait until it was 6:00 p.m. to come in and that my MRI will be done at 6:30 p.m.!!! My reply was that I had a 6:00 p.m. appointment and that I was not going to wait 1 hour to get my MRI, and she said fine, so I left. At 6:18 p.m. I got a call from MCI South, it was a male that asked me why I was not present for my appointment, so I told him the story, and his reply was "o yes I heard that conversation from the back office", and then he asked me if I wanted to reschedule? Sure, for tomorrow (Saturday) I said? His reply was we don't have space tomorrow, so I said, "I will find another place that does not play with my time". I just received a call this morning from JJ, the operations manager at the center. I was a bit taken back, considering I fear the day a business owner will call me personally regarding a negative review; but being that I was a patient it's understandable that they had my number, and it was actually a courtesy call to thank me for the review. He also told me some GREAT news. I was upset about having to carry the MRI film w/the images to the doctor's office, only to find that I did not need them. Well my doctor is now asking for the images in a CD rather than on the film - which means it's better for the environment, and you can actually keep them in a normal storage space - not under the bed - woo hooo!!!! So, if you go get an MRI here, when you go in, ask them to give you your copies in a CD rather than on film. Not only will it be a quicker wait time post MRI, but it will also be much much much better for the environment. They've officially earned that extra star! - Great service, good for the environment, management that is attentive to patients' needs and monitor their web presence to positively act on it - that's a company on top of it's game! read more

Ivonne-Marie's review is right on and provides great details on what to expect. I also found that the website for this MRI office very helpful. This was the first MRI I can ever recall having and I was quite nervous. Having access to Ivonne Marie's review and the website helped to aleve some of this anxiety. Depending on the body part being examined, you get a pair of headphones with music that allow you to ignore the thumping of the machine. If not music, then you get a pair of ear plugs. I was also provided with a blanket to keep me warm and relaxed. As long as I kept my eyes closed, it was just another opportunity to take a nap. The whole visit was super efficient. I was in and out in less than 45 minutes and I had two scans done. The trick is to wear loose metal-free clothing and you'll be comfy. read more

I liked this place . I had a previous MRI here and obviously I will be going for the second time. The staff here is amazing. I did had to pay a co-payment but that is only normal , all Insurance companies have co-payments . I will require more testing and I will continue to come here . I have been horrified about having this MRI. I am extremely Claustrophobic. min fact I just finished paying $930 for an MRI & MRA that my neurologist ordered because my insurance did not covered the office that I chose, that expense was not worth it. My choice for MRI, MRA & any other test that I need will definitely be CMI South. Telephone manners, setting your appointment up, arrival check in & handing you the CD of your test within minutes after your test is done are some of Tatiana's & Erika's well performed jobs duties with speed & excellence. Honestly, hate to leave bad reviews but wow! This place was horrific. I made an appointment for 6pm I got here way ahead of time, around 5:30ish and was willing to wait. They tell you you're supposed to go up 30 minutes later. So around 6:30 I asked if the wait was going to be any longer. They called me 5 minutes after. It took over two months to get an appointment with them. The employee at the front desk was rude and unprofessional, I was ignored until she felt like addressing me. She asked for copies of my license and the documents needed were already in the file. She was too busy talking and laughing with an employee standing behind her. Mainly, she was facing the other individual. This was personal conversation and I found it to be rude. unprofessional and disrespectful. Next the tech who inserted my IV and leads leaves a lot to be desired. The IV was inserted and when he got to placing the leads he asked me to lift my shirt. I di but he was annoyed muttered something, and grabbed my shirt lifting it higher. I am in healthcare and I know that I lifted it to the exact location where he needed to put in the leads. I am a female and the male employee was rude and ABUSIVE, and disrespectful. Just because someone is older does not give them the right to think that they are senile and can be treated ant which way or discriminated.. For starters, this place is very difficult to find. It is nestled among many other warehouses and you have to drive around looking at the names of each business. Took me 10 minutes inside the complex to get to the right place. Once inside, the staff is rude and unprofessional. When I fist called, I was told to make a tentative appointment for a week's time while they verified insurance. C'mon! I called on a Monday around 1pm, insurance verification only takes a phone call....but fine, I'll wait. I was asked to email my prescription, I added my insurance card for good measure and sent immediately. I received a call back after a few hours. They told me my insurance was verified, I was told how much my co-payment would be, and appointment was arranged for next day. However, upon arrival on scheduled day, I was told my appointment was for next week (the original tentative date). I explained that I was called and this new date and time had been arranged. The rep got up and went in the back, came back, got some files, and back again. Finally, she came back and told me that I would have to leave a credit card on file (what!? and does this mean you found my appointment???) I protested and even told her how much I was told I would have to pay for co-payment. At this point, a guy came from the back saying they don't give costs, and that insurance wasn't even verified yet. End of the story, it all seemed like some kind of scam to me and I left without my tests and without providing any credit card to be charged an unknown amount later....no, thank you!
