This was one of the most disappointing experiences I have had with the healthcare system. I arrived for my mammogram, and upon checking in, I was asked to provide my prescription--even though I had already submitted it when scheduling the appointment (they won't even schedule the exam without it). Jackie, the lead at the front desk, immediately suggested that I reschedule. It is unbelievable that the office could lose the information they already had on file and then simply ask patients to reschedule instead of making any effort to find a solution or retrieve the documentation. The lack of accountability and willingness to help was extremely disappointing. read more

I have been coming here for many years and, in the past, have always been greeted by friendly, helpful, and courteous staff at the front desk. Unfortunately, my most recent visit in May was a very different experience. When I arrived, I struggled to get in because the buzzer was not working properly. Despite there being no other customers waiting, the front desk staff appeared to ignore me as I stood outside trying to gain entry. They were sitting at the desk on their phones and made no effort to assist until I was finally able to get their attention. Once inside, the experience did not improve. The staff seemed uninterested and inconvenienced by having to help me, and the interaction felt far from welcoming. To top it off, no one acknowledged me or even said goodbye as I left. Additionally the facilities are a bit weathered, the bathroom has broken items, and generally the place does not have the same feel it once did. The experience was disappointing, especially given the consistently positive experiences I have had here over the years. I hope this was simply an isolated incident and that the level of customer service returns. I don't know what has happened, if management has changed or if it's just a bad apple situation either way I hope it is corrected soon! My doctor referred me to Midtown Womens Center for a mammogram and ultrasound. There was free parking in a small lot next to the building. When I entered, the reception area was nice and there were two women who greeted me. I filled out paperwork as a new patient. The wait time was short. I changed into a robe provided and had my first mammogram. The staff was thorough and made me feel comfortable. The following procedure was performed shortly after in a different exam room. The ultrasound technician explained everything clearly and was thorough. I was happy with my overall experience and will return for annual visits. I received my results back within three days. read more

I first visited this location in 2016 and returned last year for my annual checkup. My mammogram results indicated the need for an ultrasound due to density, so my doctor provided a referral. When I called to schedule the appointment, I wasn't informed that the procedure would cost $403.34. Once I arrived, I had no choice but to pay; I should have asked about the cost when I called, but my priority was securing the earliest available date due to my concerns. They are aware of this and should inform patients beforehand. I was told that I had to cover my copayment, which is why I had to pay for the study. I assumed that was the final cost, but to my surprise, I later received an invoice for an additional $56.67, as it seems that the initial $403.34 weren't enough. This kind of surprise billing is completely unacceptable. Patients deserve clear, upfront information about costs before they even step into the building! read more

The day of the appointment everything went well. They provided a very professional and friendly service. Parking was available outside and waiting time was minimal. I recently visited Midtown Women's Center for a mammogram and ultrasound, and both procedures were completed in under two minutes--the fastest examinations and the lack of detail care I've ever experienced. Given my family history and breast density, I was expecting a more thorough examination, but the entire process felt rushed and incomplete. For the first time, I didn't feel the usual pressure during the mammogram, which made me question whether it was performed correctly. When I raised my concern with the technician, she seemed hurried and didn't take the time to address it. The ultrasound felt equally rushed and worse, without the attention to detail I believe is necessary for an accurate examination. I don't feel confident that my mammogram and ultrasound were done properly. I left feeling disappointed and frustrated, as I didn't receive the level of care that WE ALL, WOMEN, deserve. I will be requesting a refund so I can have a proper examination elsewhere. I hope that Midtown Women's Center takes steps to improve its services and TRULY advocate for women's health as they say they do. It is a shame! read more

The woman at the front desk has an attitude, I don't think that she should be working at the front desk, she seemed stressed and annoyed with the patients. Im not one to ever even write a review, but she really got under my skin, telling me to sit down as if I'm a child. I go to the center yearly for a regular mammogram and sonogram . The staff is always so kind and courteous. Recently I had an issue that needed furthur examinaton , ie a biopsy. Upon arrival for my proceedure I was very nervous and upset. The entire staff put me at ease and made me feel so comfortable . The Doctor was so professional and thoughtful and she allayed all my fears. I will never forget how the staff at the Midtown Woman's Center went above and beyond for me at a time when I really needed it most. read more

Had an 8:00am appointment. Wasn't seen until 8:50. Then still had to sit and wait for Dr. to review the pictures before I went on to the Ultrasound. I waited the amount of time the entire appointment should have taken before I was first seen. No apologies or explanation was offered. If you make an early appointment don't be surprised if it's not honored. And, if like me you have to get to work you better take half a day off to be on the safe side. @Midtown Women's why do you make 8:00am appointments if you can't keep them? read more

A very unpleasant experience. As a returning customer/patient, I am extremely saddened by my experience today at the Midtown location specifically with "Janay - the office manager". The office did not advise me that there would be deductible at the time of my follow up visit and therefore, I did not bring a credit card to the appointment. I genuinely thought that they were repeating my routine mammogram that I had two weeks prior since my initial images were not clear. I advised them, that I would go home and give them my card details over the phone IMMEDIATELY after the appointment. After admitting that the office did not call (to confirm that there would be a payment due at the visit) as they are required, Janay said she would discuss with the manager of the person responsible but could not let me keep my appt until the payment was made and said that I would have to reschedule. Everyone that has been to MWC, knows that it takes forever to get an appointment and I could not wait another week or months for results. I told her repeatedly that I could not reschedule (after already anxiously waiting a week for this visit). I pleaded with her repeatedly and she actually insinuated at one point that it wasn't her fault that I wasn't able to pay - as though I couldn't afford it. She was rude and condescending for no reason with no bedside manner at all. It was only after I asked her to call my insurance again to confirm that I actually had a deductible to pay, did she say that she could let me keep the appointment and that I could pay after. At this point, I had already called someone to get my card details and made the payment. This was also way after I begged, pleaded and cried to get her to have an ounce of compassion. You would think that another woman would understand what I was going through, but not her. An awful, awful experience that I sincerely hope no one else has to go through - especially when they are dealing with such a sensitive matter. The lack of empathy is alarming. read more

Do not go to this place!!! Yes, it's clean, but they are just extortionists. Without even performing mammogram they want you to pay $189 for ultrasound upfront which you might not even need. Then you get your mammo and tech tell you to go for ultrasound. You ask to see radiologist who read the scan. She(Victoria) says there isn't one!!! Machine told her. Duh! This diagnostic center feels more like a spa than a medical facility. Located in a trendy Wynwood building next to Suviche restaurant, graffiti on the walls and all, free parking on the side. You walk into this lofty warehouse space with polished concrete floors, big screen TV, complimentary coffee and tea, and super comfy chairs. I kind of wished they'd been less efficient so I could hang out a little longer. I was their first patient at 8:00 am, so they saw me straight away. The staff is very friendly, rooms are pico bello and they give you this gazillion threadcount cotton robe. It was so soft, I thought of stealing one (don't get any ideas now). What a nice place. No one adores having their boob smashed together on a sunny afternoon (not for an exam anyway), but if you find yourself needing a Mammo, this is your spot. Located in what has become everyone's favorite hood, the office is in that great building sort of across from Jimmyz. The office (Suite 4) is sleek and modern, clean and very calm. The staff greeted me warmly and I was seen soon after completing my paperwork. There were great magazines (true sign of a great office manager, no?) and coffee/tea and water. I can't say enough how clean every room was. Now my results were somewhat questionable; ultimately it's important for one to be one's own advocate. You are in charge of your healthcare so be sure you are informed enough to ask the correct questions. That said, I'd return to The MWC and have referred friends. read more

The location was very easy to find, they have free parking, check in was easy, the facility was very comfortable, the staff was attentive and friendly. AVOID - FRAUDULENT!! Everyone in the waiting room, including myself, had problems. One person had recently been in for a mammogram and was there for a second mammogram. Apparently Midtown had told her the first mammogram couldn't catch everything, so she had to come in for a 2nd mammogram. However, insurance won't cover a second mammogram because it's supposed to all get done in a single visit. She had to pay out of pocket. She was understandably irrate, given that it should be Midtown's responsibility if they can't complete a mammogram in a single visit. The second person was irrate about getting a surprise charge for her previous visit, and was trying to get everything in writing onsite so that she wouldn't get "ripped off" again (her words). As for me, I made an appointment 2 months in advance, doctor faxed prescription, I confirmed with Midtown by phone that they received the prescription, and then closer to the appointment Midtown called me to confirm that they had gotten pre-authorization from my insurance. I arrived at the appointment only to be told they don't have my prescription. I let the front desk agent know all the details about how they definitely have my prescription and already confirmed everything, but the agent said there's no way that was true because if they had a prescription it would have been scanned into the computer, and she didn't see any scan. She was not apologetic about them losing my prescription, rather she was extremely rude and made it seem like I was crazy and making this all up. I asked her to try speaking with a supervisor to find my prescription, otherwise call my doctor's office to get a new prescription faxed over. She said she would and told me to take a seat. After sitting in the waiting room for almost a half hour without hearing anything, I went back to ask for an update. She just said "No, like I said, we never received a prescription for you." I asked if she tried talking to anyone else like I had asked. She said she did but no one has ever received a prescription. I asked if she tried calling my doctor, she said no. She then handed my ID back to me and started talking to someone else. Apparently that was the end of my visit and I was expected to leave. WOW. In retrospect I'm actually glad that they didn't have my prescription --- pretty sure I dodged a bullet by not going here! Like others have said, any positive reviews on here must be fake because literally every person in the waiting room had problems. read more

This felt like going to a spa.... completed with changing room on fluffy robes and relaxing music. The staff was friendly and very helpful. They even called my doctor for a prescription... which I left at home.... so I didn't have to reschedule my appointment. The location is easy to find though how to enter the building can be tricky. None of which are covered by insurance btw. this place smells like a scam to me. I made the appointment for a routine mammogram at least 3 weeks in advance with all my insurance information. Got there and filled paperwork. More than 40 minutes wait, I asked why I'm the only one in the waiting room. The attendant told me I had to sign a promissory note for $667 because my insurance denied the claim. I asked why I was not informed beforehand to be able to see with my insurance. The attendant said the Billing dept tried to contact but they could reach me. I left and called my insurance. Well, Biilling never called my insurance. When I spoke to Giovanna and Ingrid at Billing( Midtown) they were dismissive, rude and full of lies. I won't go back. read more

This office is awesome!! I received a referral from my primary care physician and it was a great experience. I called in the afternoon and got an 8am appointment for the next day! Parking: Don't park in the front of the building (the blue striped storefront on N Miami Ave that appears when you look it up on Google street view), as those spots are reserved for the other suites in the building. Instead, go right past the building and turn right onto 28th Street. You'll valet your car for free (I just tipped the man; still more convenient than finding a spot on the street and walking over) and walk right up to the back door. The office is Suite 4, the first door to your left! The office is very clean, the staff is super nice and efficient, and like the other reviewers said, it feels like a spa experience. Much better than your typical doctor appointment. Would definitely return if needed! My appointment was fully covered by my insurance as well - wonderful! read more

this is my first bad review ever. the place is beautiful the staff friendly but the mammo technician was relentless, she had no care when i told her that i have sensitive fibrous breasts and she did not listen when i said ouch many times. she sqeezed harder than any tech ive experienced. now, 12 hrs later i am in pain that is waking me up from sleep. from this experience. i blame 100% the insensitive hurried technician. Unfortunately Barbara, front desk receptionist, displays inappropriate behavior, openly exhibits irritation, and clear unhappiness to be there. I took my prescription and filled out paperwork as evidence because I am not so sure it is legal to change a patient/doctors orders without even reading what the patient has written down in the State of Florida under DPBR. read more

Unless you want to spend months of your life trying to deal with their staff in cleaning up incorrect bills, avoid, avoid, avoid. Your communications and efforts and PAYMENTS will go ignored and they will then try to send you to collections when they've been paid in an effort to extract more money from you.
