I was not greated kindly, then I waited there for 30 min before I went back up to check in with them and see what's going on. She said they were really backed up and I will be up soon. Then 45 min mark hit and I was done. I went up again and spoke up becuase I was missing work and wanted to know what's going on. they could not give me an answer and was wait or reschedule. My appointment was at 2:30 and I did not even get into a room untill 3:15 ish. I left around 4:00. my provider had no clue why I was not taken sooner, there is awful customer service and communication. I recommend Dr. Ocampo, but I would not recommend all the other staff. They should be ashamed of themselves.

Orthopedic services being in my future because of arthritis, I just stopped in, mid dayish on a…read moresunny late summer day as I recall, to check the place out being in the Fielders' Choice neighborhood - actually put a provider name with a face, observe staff & the degree of office/practice busyness/activity, pick up some brochures to review on my own time. Few brochures in stock, the place was dead, & only 1 staff at the desk, thus NO excuse for such a sour puss in look or attitude. I noticed that most of the providers represented on the wall with photo were NOT physicians, but Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants. I left, tossed the brochures in the trash, made a call to Orthopedic Associates of Maine, Portland. Now, there's a practice with a stellar reputation and the service, staff, caring, and welcome to back it up as I can readily state, having had 2 more recent appointments: Meet/Greet &Consult (10/2025,) followed by Walk-in Orthopedic Clinic - emergency/condition change appointment (12/19/2025) due to excruciating pain, serious mobility issue. I was given a Cortisone injection to settle the knee down, physical therapy planned 1st, to confirm symptoms with an MRI that would be paid for by Insurance - that's the game - it's backwards. I went home from there, very comfortable, and received a call from the office to set up physical therapy. Anyhow, with the new year upon us I will most likely be forced to deal with CMO, not OA of Maine, because OA of Maine will be considered "out of network" by my new Insurance, thus cost me much more out of pocket. I may just need to eat the cost for superior care and service when this is not my preference.

You are greeted when you arrive and they make sure to tell you to have a great day when you leave. Dr. Ted is amazing. He made no attempt to recommend me for any additional therapies or procedure that I did not need. He was up front and advised me he saw nothing to continue a more long-term therapy regiment and recommended some stem treatment for my hip prior to departing. I am happy I switched to Sasseville Chiro and look forward to being preventative to keep my back any body strong for the future.

After suffering debilitating lower back pain for the past year, I started seeing Dr. Nia to try to switch up my chiropractic care and I'm happy to say that after just a few short weeks I can feel the relief coming. On almost every visit - multiple family members over many years - the wait is anywhere from uncomfortably long to ridiculous. Even an "early morning" appointment usually involves an unacceptably long wait. Today's waiting room experience was 44 minutes - after the usual sign-in process. When finally ushered into an exam room, the medical assistant took basic information-and then we waited for another 12 minutes, for what ended up as a 10 minute visit with the doctor. The doctor was great and we are very pleased with his work, but an average visit seriously impacts a work day. Between the actual appointment and having to allow for the anticipated wait, it often requires blocking out 3 hours plus. I do understand and appreciate the complexity of these interactions, but I feel as though the value of our time is routinely disregarded.

After that I was fairly quickly whisked into the back where they said they would be X raying my neck...what? Not sure if there was a mix up on my behalf or theirs but I assured the tech that we did not need to do this. He didn't argue and pleasantly brought me to my room for intake and to wait for my doctor. Dr. Abbott came in and chatted with me about my symptoms. He was very detailed and never seemed rushed to get to his next appointment. In the next couple of visits he has done the same and has given me several techniques to help alleviate pain along with his work that he has done on my neck and surrounding muscles. Sometimes runs late (don't all doctors) but overall an amazing experience and will continue to go to have work done on my neck.

I was always asked how I was feeling during therapy, and not in a gratuitous manner. From the intake assessment and exercises I was asked to perform, I had confidence in their plans for me. I kept up with the exercises between appointments, and I noticed phenomenal gains in strength in a short period of time. Best of all, when I finished two months of twice weekly visits, I had strengthened the area of injury and for the first time in months I was pain free.
