He was up front and advised me he saw nothing to continue a more long-term therapy regiment and recommended some stem treatment for my hip prior to departing. On almost every visit - multiple family members over many years - the wait is anywhere from uncomfortably long to ridiculous. Even an "early morning" appointment usually involves an unacceptably long wait. Today's waiting room experience was 44 minutes - after the usual sign-in process. When finally ushered into an exam room, the medical assistant took basic information-and then we waited for another 12 minutes, for what ended up as a 10 minute visit with the doctor. The doctor was great and we are very pleased with his work, but an average visit seriously impacts a work day. Between the actual appointment and having to allow for the anticipated wait, it often requires blocking out 3 hours plus. I do understand and appreciate the complexity of these interactions, but I feel as though the value of our time is routinely disregarded.

After that I was fairly quickly whisked into the back where they said they would be X raying my neck...what? Not sure if there was a mix up on my behalf or theirs but I assured the tech that we did not need to do this. He didn't argue and pleasantly brought me to my room for intake and to wait for my doctor. Dr. Abbott came in and chatted with me about my symptoms. He was very detailed and never seemed rushed to get to his next appointment. In the next couple of visits he has done the same and has given me several techniques to help alleviate pain along with his work that he has done on my neck and surrounding muscles. Sometimes runs late (don't all doctors) but overall an amazing experience and will continue to go to have work done on my neck.

I was always asked how I was feeling during therapy, and not in a gratuitous manner. From the intake assessment and exercises I was asked to perform, I had confidence in their plans for me. I kept up with the exercises between appointments, and I noticed phenomenal gains in strength in a short period of time. Best of all, when I finished two months of twice weekly visits, I had strengthened the area of injury and for the first time in months I was pain free.
