I love this place just walking around and looking at the food and trying the samples. Some days have more samples then other. But what I really like is eating lunch here. They have great sandwiches form build your own to picking out one of the selections on the menu. These sandwiches are a good size you will not be disappointed. Plenty of meat, cheese, and toppings. Yesterday we purchased several family style meals to freeze. Last night we heated the Beef Bourgogne. It was not fit for human or animal consumption! About 1/2 inch of orange grease rose to the top of the pan. This dish should be a cut of steak, garlic, mushrooms, and wine, nothing that would produce orange grease! Today I called the store to tell them they had a quality issue, I was given to "one of the chef's" who was CLEARLY annoyed by my call and his response was "ya, fine I'll look at todays batch to see if there is a problem". Dude, I just told you there's a problem. I realize it's a stressful time, but I bought several of these to freeze and instead I had to throw all of them in the trash. It wasn't even fit to feed my dogs. I've shopped here since they opened and this is a sad decline. Especially the way the chef responded!! This is how you lose customers and end up a non-competitor to Whole Foods, etc. HEB you need to listen and fix this. read more

I've been going to this store for quite some time now and I love everything from the fresh produce, seafood, to breads. There are a vast selection of things to buy that you wouldn't normally find in regular grocery stores. There are also dine in options if you just want a bite to eat. OMG I purchased two bûches de Noël from Central Market: one chocolate and one mocha. La Madeleine sold them for $44 while at Central Market they were $29 each. They were to die for! Just as good as if they were made by great bakers in Austria, Switzerland or Paris. And I know because I am from France and Switzerland. I will never buy them from anywhere else or try to make them myself. And the lobster tails they had on sale were incredibly sweet and tender. read more

I love getting my produce from central market. It has such a wide variety to choose from. I never had an issue with getting fresh fruits and vegetables from here. I do wish they carried more herbs to choose from like burdock root. I enjoy the cleanliness and the organization of the layout of the store. The employees always seem so helpful as well. Central Market, it is a "shopping experience " I enjoy listening to the overhead music. im always engaging with the foodies with the recipes I'm making. The unique foods they have are incredible. it's difficult to fly past the bakery/bread src without getting something. Either it's the Rosemary bread, half and half tortillas or the carrot cake cupcakes, they are all delish. Sometimes I just get them all. Its not worth doing curbside, there is so much to like in the store. Wonderful grocery store full of all kinds of foodie finds. They have an amazing seafood counter and meat case. The produce area is amazing as well. There's a huge wine selection and a nice beauty section for skin care and/or vitamins. Unlike Whole Foods, you're more inclined to find junk food there - like candy, chips, and other products that aren't solely health conscious. Their florist area is always a treat to browse. We love to come to central market. We don't live very close so it is usually once or twice a month depending on what we might want. We typically come for coffee beans, kombucha and salsa that we can't find elsewhere. I love to come towards the middle of the day as there are lots of little booths to try different foods. Although that does mean there are usually lots of people and it can get crowded, which I don't enjoy. The booths have swayed us several times to purchase items. One of our favorites is the Waldorf chicken salad. Wow. If you ever come on a day it is made or special order it it is the best! Today we tried some new salsa and some ginger beer with ice cream. We definitely would not have bought either if we hadn't tried them beforehand like we did. Occasionally we have come across central being out of stock of an item. Today it was the health-ade lemon ginger. But I do know they don't have much shelf space so they probably don't keep much in the back. Other times we have had success in asking for someone to help the back and have found what we are looking for. The staff are always very happy and friendly. I truly could not say enough good things about Central Market. First, it was voted in the top ten of grocery stores NATIONALLY. Seriously, look it up. Second, I've been coming here since I was seriously, like, 6, and nothing about this place has ever upset me at any point in my life. Third, I will come to central market just to browse, often too. Fourth, my friends from out of state came to visit for a week and I took them here the first night for barbecue since we have tried many places in FW but nothing compares to the brisket at central. Fifth, they demanded we come back to this GROCERY STORE a second time during their short week long visit. Come see for yourself! It's like an ikea for a food lover! Try the sushi sample, try the fresh bread and whipped butter sample, try their fresh juice samples! They've got homemade gelato at the gelato bar and in their ice cream cases, as well as warm tortillas and house made pastries everywhere. Oh and if you want some standout recommendations for really good food from the deli area, Brisket, sausage (the other BBQ is probably good but I haven't had it so can't recommend), mac n cheese, the kale pepita cranberry salad, and the antipasto sandwich from the sandwich line. Idk if they have it listed anymore but it had like 4 types of cured meat, mozzarella, and basil pesto on a panini and I'm sure they'd make it for you. This is my first delivery order with Central Market. And I am glad to see the new option for customers. In these times of Covid-19 where one may have limited opportunities to get out. This is amazing. I have enjoyed my shopping experience with this particular location, the vegetables, fruits and meat selection has been great through my numerous visits. My concern with utilizing this delivery option; will my shopper select my produce and grocery items with care, selecting fresh, non bruised and good quality items. I am very pleased with the overall selection of items, no dinged cans, crushed boxed or poor produce items. There was a mix up on one selection request, it seems the order had a glitch and my notes did not come through. However in speaking with customer service rep. Carla, she made apologies and shared options to address the incorrect item. She was very helpful in assisting with my questions and noted feedback. One last note, if one selects the "Leave at door" option. Add a note to ring/knock at door unless the text/email notification is good. Thankful I had my phone so my items were not out there too long. I guess it IS supposed to be a "speciality" store but I find it especially expensive... considering I can find the same merchandise at other (similar) locations at a far lower price. Many of the areas... especially those which are "self-serve" are sort of nasty so, I know the higher prices are NOT because they hire enough workers to keep the place clean. Cheese department has a nice selection but I can find the same cheeses elsewhere, for less. The frozen hot tamales at Central Market in Fort Worth are probably the best hot tamales my wife and I have ever had. They even rivaled what we've had at some of the best Mexican and Tex-Mex restaurants in Texas. You just take them frozen and drop them in a pot of boiling water and 15 minutes later you get to enjoy this amazing feast! This Central Market is my option at work when we have a lot of down time and I have the opportunity to drive across town for dinner break. Since I work right off of I30, and this location is right off of I30 on Hulen, the trip doesn't take that long and it's convenient. Once you arrive, the parking lot can be very packed. There are a lot of restaurants and shops in this location along with the constant crowd at CM, so the parking lot is almost always very busy. This location is laid out like all of the other Central Markets. You have your grocery store predominantly on one side, and your ready to serve stuff mainly on the other. When I'm at this location, I am always on the heat-and-eat side, and there are a lot of great options! The sushi section always has a fresh display of various rolls and sashimi! Located right next to it, there is a pizza window, along with a sandwich counter. A salad and soup bar is located against the wall, plus the entree section in the middle is packed with foods that are ready to be heated up and served. There also is a wide variety of pasta and fruit salads as well. Once you pass through the check out lines, there is a nice section of tables and chairs indoors where you can eat in, but I prefer the awesome patio right outside the doors. It's pretty massive, and it's great for people watching while you eat. In the summer, it's always pretty full, and occasionally they have live music as well! I'm a huge fan of the Central Market chain...all of the stores, I have never been disappointed. They always give you a wide variety of choices without skimping on the quality. Just moved to Fort Worth and I'm obsessed with the central market! The produce is great, the fresh squeezed and pressed juices are so tasty: orange juice, carrot juice, even a fresh made margarita mix (literally called that- love it). They have a fish counter and meat counter and a bakery and food-to-go that makes dinner easy. They make fresh tortillas and fresh pasta on premises. They're doing their best with COVID protocols so the workers are masked but so many customers aren't, which sucks. Yet they're very kind to everyone. They deserve hazard pay! read more

A great marketplace in Arlington, that looks like a Whole Foods; however, it is owned by HEB, a Texas-based grocery chain. You name the food that you want to eat, they have it. When I lived in Austin, I always liked Central Market better than Whole Foods. Fresh salad bar, great to go entrees. Hatch Chile Festival makes my heart sing. and the best Gelato in DFW. Yes I said it. And I always brake for gelato so I know gelato and this is the best gelato. It might possibly be also the best gelato in the state but Mario's at 6th and Seawall in Galveston gives them a close run for the money. I recommend if you're a pina colada fan trying a swirl of pineapple and coconut gelato at Central Market and you will be smiling for the rest of the day. oh, and their floral dept is top notch.
