Ooooh weeeee, where do I begin? The location, parking, valet, greeters, and ambiance....all 10s. Thats just the outside. Inside, you are hit with beautiful hostess who " highly recommend" reservations, or at least call ahwad to see if one is needed. The greenery and gold are the most exquisite beautifulness together. Seating is beautiful, and so is the bar. Definitely a luxery experience. Now to dinner: Theoysters, fish dip, rib eye, lamb, mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, chocolate cake, and French 75s were more than a 10. I could eat it all again, but I will definitely put emphasis on the mashed potatoes.... theyre new to the menu, and theyre excellent!!! We were excited to dine at The Mont after reading so many glowing reviews, but unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. The restaurant offers plenty of parking, along with complimentary valet service, which was a nice convenience. Service was adequate but unremarkable, with nothing that stood out positively or negatively. It was also noticeable that no manager checked on our table during the meal to inquire about our experience or satisfaction. The Mont promotes its views as a highlight, but our table was positioned by a window that looked directly into the kitchen rather than offering any notable scenery, which was disappointing. We visited for brunch and found the food to be mediocre overall. We started with the monkey bread, which was the standout dish of the meal--flavorful, and delicious. I ordered the Cluck on Toast, essentially chicken and French toast. Unfortunately, the chicken was quite small, lacked seasoning, and had soggy breading. It was also served only slightly warm, at best. We also ordered a side of crispy potatoes with Gruyère foam. Instead, we received a small portion of basic frozen-style fries that were not seasoned and served with ketchup. Other entrees ordered at our table were the honey-lemon ricotta pancakes and the Wagyu burger both which were underwhelming. We have enjoyed better versions of similar dishes at many chain restaurants. We also sampled items from the Father's Day specialty menu, including the filet mignon breakfast biscuit and the chicken-fried braised short rib. Both dishes lacked flavor, presentation, and the level of execution we expected. For "An Upscale, Chef-Driven Concept" the overall dining experience missed the mark. In the end, our group agreed that the experience failed to impress. While there were a few positives, the food and atmosphere didn't live up to the hype, and it's unlikely that we would return. read more

After seeing so many posts, we finally made our way to The Mont! Can't wait to return for dinner. Today we had the kiddo with us, so we stuck to the happy hour menu on the patio. First off -- what a beautiful restaurant. The patio is so nice, and the TV was a bonus for my husband Our waitress was great and super accommodating. There's no official kids' menu, but they do have options if you ask. My son had the chicken tenders and tots -- a decent portion and they tasted good. My husband and I tried the HH oysters, the burger, and the fish dip. Everything was quite tasty. We're already planning a return visit! I don't need longhorns and rusted metal, but I do need it feel a little more comfortable for a long time Fort Worth guy and his crew. Turn the music down, and maybe a little less club style music. At least play some music that fits the ambience of a high end restaurant. La Pulga ranch water was $30 with mostly ice. The cheapest entree on the menu was a $41 yard bird. Now it was tasty, but hard to feel good about fried chicken over $40. Deviled eggs for apps... decent, but there were 3 of them and they were $23. Come on! My recommendation is skip the Mont. The parking scene is a little tight but we are True Texans & drive a larger truck so I'll compromise.
