This place is one of those small-town spots you almost don't want to tell people about... but it's too good not to. From the second you walk in, it just feels homey--like everyone knows each other and you're instantly part of it. Nothing fancy, just good people and really good food. The gravy? Honestly some of the best I've ever had. Super creamy, perfectly seasoned, and loaded with flavor. You can tell it's homemade, not from a mix. I was literally making sure I didn't leave a drop on the plate. The Texas scramble was SO good--big portions, packed with eggs, bacon, sausage, and smothered in that gravy. Total comfort food. Solid 4/5. I met some girlfriends for breakfast and I loved that they didn't rush us out and let us take time drinking coffee and catching up. Everyone is right - the cinnamon rolls are stand out. They are huge and honestly eating one and drinking coffee would suffice for breakfast in and of itself. I ordered the pancake buffet - which was way too much food. It came with eggs, protein, hash browns and blueberry pancake. It allowed me to have some leftovers through! Service was friendly, atmosphere was very nostalgic, and you pay at the front. Absolutely love Ginger Browns!!! Their food is delicious and I can't get enough of their cinnamon rolls! The atmosphere is so nice and if you ever go sit at a booth against the wall... they have the these small jukebox's that you can play music for a quarter. It's so cute and I can't stop laughing and singing when we enjoy the music! I absolutely adore this place and I love seeing the signs and collection of items on the walls. We were passing through town and stopped on a whim at Ginger Browns for the first time, and had such a great experience, we can't wait to go back! The ambiance was super cute and comfortable, like an old time diner, and the service was incredible. We had the Texas Scramble with chicken fried steak, and the Effe Mae's Griddle special, with blueberry pancakes, with coffee. Everything was so delicious, fresh and homemade tasting, with big portions. While we waited for our order they also served us complimentary breads with flavored butter, and the server made sure our coffee cups were always full. The last time I dined at Ginger's, I had breakfast and it wasn't good. Overcooked eggs and hashbrowns. The biscuit was good but the gravy was salty. What a difference between visits. I had breakfast again and it was excellent. Eggs were perfectly soft scrambled. Hashbrowns just right, crispy outside and soft inside. The big slice of ham was delicious. Only disappointment were the greens - they were canned; but for the price, I can't be too upset. Got a bonus with the special - a cinnamon roll came with it. And it was GOOD. It was crowded at the checkout and the line moved fairly quickly. I got to chat with the Hostess and let her know it was my first time. The chicken fried steak was good, meat was tender and batter was crispy. I loved the fried green tomatoes, if I go back I'll most likely get two orders of the tomatoes. Very good value, you get rolls to start with which was fresh and I was surprised that the cinnamon roll was part of the meal. The cinnamon roll is very tasty and was pretty good size. I've been going there for over 25 years and never had a bad meal I highly recommen the catfish. I like that they older ladies to serve. Absolutely not what I was expecting from the a restaurant in a strip mall. When you enter you get a nostalgic feeling with the cute decor. There was local sports memorabilia and local artist. Sup Yelpmates? Are we all good on our diets? I'm losing to my goal this year. Started at 199.4 lbs. Said I need to hit 185lbs this year. I'm at 191lbs because I'm taking it casually. No fads. No pills. No gym. Just curb sodas and sweets. Eat fewer meals per week. But still indulge my cravings occassionally, to excess. One of my most guilty pleasures are cinnamon rolls. Where to get the guiltiest on earth? The modt sinfully delicious? Yep. Ginger Browns. I have never eaten a meal here. Why? Because everyone I know that has raves about it. Says the chicken fried steak is mind and belly blowing. Delicious gravy and mashed as well. Well that creates a conflict because they also make the best cinnamon rolls around. One cannot serve two masters. Cinnamon roll wins. I go in with my blinders on, order way too many rolls, and get out quickly. The way you know any food is truly great is how great it is the next day. Reheated, these rolls are still better than 99% of any other bakeries day one rolls. You can freeze these, thaw, reheat, and still they are amazing. Year after year, roll after roll. I took my mom here for lunch when she was in town visiting. We arrived at about 1:30 in the afternoon it was very busy but the hostess was kind enough to make sure we sat in a booth as I am on crutches and have to have my leg up. Lulu was our server and she did a great job. We had the cheese steak po boy and a Reuben for lunch and we each had a side of the onion chips. My Reuben was delicious and we both loved the onion chips. My mom said the po by had great flavor but the meat was super tough and hard to chew. She wouldn't order it again. We also got a coconut cream pie to go that was AMAZING. Over all it was a great experience. I will be back! read more

This is one of the worst breakfast restaurants, we have ever gone to, started with a dirty table and so we moved and sat in an old booth, then I went to wash my hands the restroom door was falling off and would not close, the waitress had a don't care attitude, we ordered bacon and eggs , the bacon was room cold, and the smallest eggs that i have ever seen, may have been quail eggs, cold caned biscuits, just every point was bad, this place will close down soon, they also added a 25 cent per egg extra charge. Hadn't been to GB's in five years and I always enjoyed their breakfast, so I made the short drive from home. This time around it was a disappointment. Pretty sad when McDonald's has a better one. I had the two egg breakfast, eggs over medium with sausage, hash browns, biscuit and gravy. Eggs were cooked properly, sausage was burned at the edges, hash browns were overcooked and cold, biscuit and gravy were only okay. Even the coffee was sub par. Service was also lacking. My server was nice enough but didn't ask me if I wanted more coffee until I was finished. I would've sent my meal back but didn't have time to wait. Will I return? Sure, because they have been consistently good to very good through the years. It will take three straight strikes for me to blow them off. read more
