The biscuit and gravy were good. Could have used a little more flavor though. My hash browns were cool but crispy, again could have used more flavor. My spouses chicken fried steak were bland as well but the eggs were tasty and moist. The environment was cute and there is a lot of history on the walls. They even have tiny juke boxes on the tables and some Still work!! Not to mention the big one for only a quarter per song

We were passing through town and stopped on a whim at Ginger Browns for the first time, and had such a great experience, we can't wait to go back! The ambiance was super cute and comfortable, like an old time diner, and the service was incredible. We had the Texas Scramble with chicken fried steak, and the Effe Mae's Griddle special, with blueberry pancakes, with coffee. Everything was so delicious, fresh and homemade tasting, with big portions. While we waited for our order they also served us complimentary breads with flavored butter, and the server made sure our coffee cups were always full. We highly recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for an old time, affordable, homemade delicious meal with great service.

If you want grandma's cooking, eat here. Everything looks and tastes homemade. You get what you pay for with very generous portions and very friendly service. Don't forget the cinnamon rolls!!!

Service was quick and friendly enough. Most of the waitresses were well known as they have worked there thirty eight years or more. The nostalgia is definitely in the decor and just an old time restaurant feel. The food is tasty, portion size was good. The combination plates are over the top, so much food. Reasonably priced, it felt like we robbed them with the price of two breakfast entrees and two take home cinnamon rolls. I would visit again next time I'm in Fort Worth.

$10.49 for all of this. I couldn't finish it.

The last time I dined at Ginger's, I had breakfast and it wasn't good. Overcooked eggs and hashbrowns. The biscuit was good but the gravy was salty. What a difference between visits. I had breakfast again and it was excellent. Eggs were perfectly soft scrambled. Hashbrowns just right, crispy outside and soft inside. The big slice of ham was delicious. Biscuit and gravy also great. Portions were large and very reasonably priced. Service was good as well. I'll pick from their lunch menu next time.

I've heard so much about this place. It's a staple Restaurant. It has been on my list of restaurants to eat! When my friend asked me, to eat here,I was like,Thank you for making my hopes and dreams come true! Lol. We went here Saturday morning. It was super crowded with all kinds of people, a really attractive crowd if you ask me. It's basically a Maw and Paw kitchen surrounded by your grandmas decorations. Our waitress rocked a cute haircut and she was patient w my crew. Prices were competitive. I ordered the Elle Mae Griddle Special. It was two eggs, a Sausage, a piece of Bacon and two Fluffy Pancakes! It was 8.39 The Pancakes were the best I've ever had! They were golden, sweet, fluffy and topped with a dallop of Butter. They were sweet enough to eat without syrup. Sausage was spicy and Bacon was large in size and crispy. It was crowded at the checkout and the line moved fairly quickly. I got to chat with the Hostess and let her know it was my first time. She was interested in how my experience was and was really nice about it. Overall, it was worth the hype. Friendly service, historic ambiance and scrumptious breakfast. Ginger Brown's is a must!

Chicken Fried Steak with fried okra, fried green tomatoes and cinnamon roll.

Ordered the lunch portion chicken fried steak (perfect size that I was able to finish) with side of fried okra and fried green tomatoes. The chicken fried steak was good, meat was tender and batter was crispy. I loved the fried green tomatoes, if I go back I'll most likely get two orders of the tomatoes. Very good value, you get rolls to start with which was fresh and I was surprised that the cinnamon roll was part of the meal. The cinnamon roll is very tasty and was pretty good size. I also ordered mile high lemon pie which can be shared by 4 people. All in all, it cost me $19.69 including the iced tea. Service was wonderful, Tina was very attentive and friendly.

We came for the cinnamon roll after seeing so many recommendations for it and it did not disappoint. One of the best rolls out there. The scramble thing was also pretty good. Everything ya need on one plate...but the cinnamon roll was amazing! Awesome feel and vibes in this classic diner.

The fries were well seasoned however not all was good evenly and some over cooked and some undercooked. The steak was okay, the sears were bad and so was the overall flavor. Overall, I think it's a great place for a business meet up and if you are standing at the property but nothing too special. Note: this was lunch menu and I heard the burger here is good so many you can try that but I wouldn't recommend the steak at all.

Now for the food, everything was portioned greatly, more on the heavier side, which you will not hear me complain about because the prices are higher. So for my Chicken Jalapeño Cheddar omelet, I appreciated the leftovers. My only con was the shredded chicken was not seasoned, so after taking my first bite, it seemed dry and bland. My extra salsa and cheese helped it along the way, but I would have wanted something to be there. Loved our waiter, very sweet and attentive. The wait time was reasonable; they were busy but definitely bringing plates out of the kitchen in a timely manner. If you're looking for an elevated brunch feel, this is your place, a great place to host a reasonable 5-6 person dining experience!

We opened with a cocktail from the bar, which set a high bar for what followed -- unfortunately, not everything cleared it. The Deviled Eggs with Spicy Best Maid Pickles arrived looking the part, four to an order, but tasted like they'd forgotten to show up to their own party. Bland, flat, and in desperate need of seasoning, we reached for the salt shaker, which helped, but shouldn't have been necessary. The pickles, to their credit, were doing their absolute best and were genuinely the only flavor happening on that plate. Skip these. The pickles deserve better supporting cast. The Cheeseburger with Wasp Sauce on a potato bun, however, is a different story entirely. We ordered it medium, half expecting the kitchen to interpret that however it pleased, but it arrived cooked exactly as requested, which felt like a small victory worth celebrating. The Wasp Sauce is a mystery worth solving, and the house-made chips that come alongside are fresh, crisp, and dangerously snackable. Pro tip: order a side of ranch for dipping. You're welcome. We also added a side of fries, which were equally excellent. No notes. Little Red Wasp has real charm, great energy, a fun bar, and a cheeseburger worth crossing Main Street for. Just steer clear of the deviled eggs and order the chips with abandon.

The fried chicken and kale salad complemented each other so well I highly recommend as well. - The deviled eggs were good but they are just basic so you can skip those (unless if you were craving it). - The pimento cheese was very good too it was packed with flavor. We started with the biscuits and cinnamon roll. I would recommend both. The biscuits came with a jam, honey and whipped butter. The cinnamon roll, which may look a bit underwhelming had a such a great crispy texture on the outside while still being fluffy on the inside. The icing wasn't too sweet and complimented the roll nicely. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy. The Fixe breakfast was great and the maple sausage was perfect. Our waitress was Adriana, she was great and very helpful. Overall we would definitely come back and look forward to trying dinner one night.
