Fantastic nails. Hilarious staff. I got a gel manicure wirh chrome overlay and it is BOMB! They got me in very quickly despite being very busy on a Saturday afternoon. Owner/manager greeted every single person as they walked in and had an uncanny ability to guesstimate the time it would take to get back into a chair. The salon obviously had a great repeat clientele as there was friendly banter going on the whole time. ****Update**** It has been just over a week and all of the gel on my nails have peeled off. Can't believe I spent 60$$ on this. I tried central nails on April 29th. I went to start my 21st birthday early, and to get my nails done. Everything was great and looked great until I got to lunch and looked closer at the finished product. My thumb skin was stuck to my nail, my hang nails weren't clipped all of the painting was uneven. And that's just on my hands. My toes look like he just put a drop of polish on and didn't clean it up. Had I looked closer at my nails before I left I would have asked for them to be fixed. I read the reviews for this place before going, and was really hoping for a great experience. Just super disappointed at the quality of work. read more

I'm usually not someone who leaves reviews, but as a cosmetologist who is new to the area (and state); I was hoping to have found a spot but unfortunately that was not the case. I paid $45 for a terrible "pedicure". The man was on his phone, supposedly took my gel polish off and only soaked my feet in water. He as rough when "trimming the cuticle", the massage was a literal rub up and down. I looked down at my toe nails and saw so much polish still on my nails. He attempted to paint my nails and I refused. I had endured one of the worst "pedicures" of my 29 years of life. I'm someone who gets pedicures regularly and again, as a cosmetologist; I know the standard. I was hoping to leave a great tip and even a throw out a recommendation but unfortunately that's not doable here. Come in at your own risk. Horrible just horrible.! I had asked for a French tip lady first of all broke one of my nails which is fine because I had another one already broken and so I was like ok cool but nobody couldn't do acrylic nails and they had to call their manager to come do it since she wasn't at the salon I had to wait 15-20 min till she got there. Let me say .. she left them shorter then the rest of the nails I already had and when they were done with painting them and everything they charged me $88 for everything. I was like wait what and she said the $20 extra dollars was from the two nails you had broken and I looked at them in disbelief and I was like wow yea the mail your employee broke yea ok and didn't do nothing else but paid and left but to tell u the truth it was the place I would go to a lot but they charge way too much for nonsense ! Another time was when they charged me $87 for French tip and I gave them $100 bucks yea I never saw my change but she knew she had to give me change and she just smiled and left before I even asked for my change and yup never again their just horrible they don't care how your nails end up looking they do things so quick and not even care about how it'll affect your nails how it'll look smh worst place please don't go they charge extremely too much ! read more

I don't really live close but I've had such a great experience here that I make the drive every two weeks to get my fill and pedicure. The staff is great! Susie does my nails and Bear or D does my pedicures. The conversation is funny, the shop is clean, you feel so welcome and the work they do is great. Plus the prices are reasonable. I walked in and was promptly taken care of for a full set of acrylic nails. The colors of polish I picked out were no where near the colors on the nail "board!" After several attempts at the color I wanted, I just finally accepted the color which was presented. When all was done, my nails look like I did them myself! I had a tough week and decided to go get a pedicure and try this place out. I believe I was greeted by the owner which she was very nice. I was then walked over to the lady that was going to help me. The lady was very serious and looked annoyed. She asked me how the water was and I told her it was a bit too hot but she didn't do anything to it. Once I sat down she handed me the pricing sheet on the pedicures and waited until I picked and she still asked me "am I okay to start?." I felt like she maybe thought I didn't have money to pay I got an upgraded pedicure thinking more time will be spent on my cuticles or scrubbing my feet more but very minimal cuticle removal and filed my toe nails just once. She kept trying to sell me on gel and once I gave her an answer she wouldn't talk or laugh or nothing. It was soo awkward!! She then asked me what colors I wanted and I showed her and with an attitude she asked "are you sure?" Like if I couldn't change my mind Then when I moved over to manicure she was putting my sandals on and she snapped at me not to move. Manicure was also okay but I still have cuticles that were left behind. Not sure if I will return to this spot. 2 stars because I was greeted by a nice lady and I did see a few other ladies that were engaging with their customers. read more

I've come twice and had one good experience and one terrible. I went for a French gel manicure and I mentioned that the white was uneven on my left hand. She tried to fix it once and decided it was too thick so I agreed to let her grind it down and start again. She didn't remove all of the polish and started painting back over it. The final result was worse than original (the white is more uneven and the pink underneath was not repainted and looks visibly messed up). I had to leave because I had been there twice as long as I'd expect so I turned down the offer to redo the hand a 4th time. They still charged me the full price. Really friendly and attentive.This is my second time getting a pedi here and both times I've had a pleasant experience. Everything looks very clean and sanitary which is the first thing I look at when checking out a new nail salon. It is conveniently located and easily accessible. Parking is plentiful so you don't have to worry about finding a parking spot close to the salon. I've been wanting to get my nails done for a very long time, I've been so busy with work and being a new mom I just didnt have time. Finally, decided to get them done, and have always been very particular with my nails. I like acrylic with pink powder to have a semi clear nail. I had seen a picture on their Yelp and immediately loved it because it was EXACTLY what I WANTED. I came in an hour before they closed, due to living in north Phoenix and getting out of work at 4PM. I was told it would be a little of a wait, I was fine with that. I show the owner the kind of nails I want, she says yes that they can do them...I get seated about 30 - 40 minutes later and show the lady what I want, she is very persisted that they are ombre, I said no they're clear like. But she is stubborn that they are ombre and it's an extra 10 dollars, shes the nail tech so I trust her... almost an hour later, (my fault for not speaking up in the midst of it) I try to love them, but they look like I have marshmallow tips with no ombre.. I pay and I walk out and almost cry at my car, I've wait a year to get my nails done and they're not remotely close to what i wanted. My husband goes back and speaks with Susie, the owner. I come back in and the other tech says that's the picture you showed me... I'm almost outraged... but susie agrees with me and says she will stay to fix them. I'm so glad Susie provided with above and beyond customer service. She apologized and fixed my nails exactly how I wanted them. Next time I'll book a time with Susie. Susie has a great sense of humor and exceptional customer service. read more

She allowed me to relax (I must look like I needed it! ) while she worked on my feet. Once she completed my pedicure, we went to the table to work on my fingers. With a heavy heart i give this place a bad review. I had been going to this place the last 4 months. However, I called a couple of weeks ago to make an appointment and was told it was "walk in only" it was a Saturday which I understand is a busy day for salons so I didn't mind. I showed up as a walk in and was fortunate to get my favorite nail tech. I just called again today (Friday) and tried to request my girl and again was told it is walk in only. This is highly inconvenient I live in Glendale it is a 25-30 min drive for me and I'm willing to drive it to get my nails done by the nail tech of my choosing because why not? and to give this place my business yet that lady that answered the phone wouldn't even tell me if the nail tech i like was there. Wth? I had one of their other nail techs do my gel many a month ago and she did an awful job and then a couple other ones that halfassed my pedicure. Like the only reason i was going here is because of the amazing lady that does an amazing job. Ridiculous. I'm never going back. And I'm now back on my quest to find a nail tech if they don't like people choosing nail techs then they should all have the same skill level because this place is a hit or miss with their nail techs. I went to get my nails done here and paid extra for design but the stickers they had placed on my nails started to fall off the same day I got them so I called back to get them fixed and they had just put more gel coat on top of the peeling stickers and ended up looking worse than before. Wandering Phoenix on the 4th of July, the day after a huge haboob blew through town looking for a place to get a little personal grooming done quickly turned into a nightmare. Yes, there were tree limbs lying around all over the ground. Yes, it is a national holiday. That does not negate the fact that I really really need my eyebrows groomed. FINALLY, after pulling up to at least 10 other places which were closed when Yelp and their posted signs said they SHOULD be open, I found Central Nails open and actually quite busy with people getting in a last minute mani/pedi or facial. The people who work here are very friendly, and their prices are pretty reasonable.
