RUDE AND HASTY. I always base whether or not to get a full set/manicure by the way they care for my feet. I was greeted and promised "10 more minutes." I sat and soaked for 15 min before a man who looked like he just built a house (dirty white shirt and dirty nails) start my pedicure. Long story short, the shape of my nails were crooked, he forgot to put lotion on my feet and talked sh*t about me in Vietnamese the WHOLE TIME about me being too picky while the entire staff made bets on whether or not if I was going to leave a tip. I paid and left the man a tip anyway. I've never been so appalled, humiliated and dissatisfied with a service. I asked for the manager and there was no manager avail. read more

At one point I asked to wash the filings off my hands and she told me I don't need to, so that became a bit awkward lol. The shape is a little off, as for the color its smooth and no bumps! We showed up (a group of 3) w/o an appointment on a Saturday and were still able to get our nails done without too much of a wait. They were able to start 2 of us right away and one friend had to wait 30min or so. The owner was super honest and told us up front that there would be a wait. Bear did my nails today and he did a great job. He took a lot of time on my pedicure, making sure my nails were really clean and smooth. He also gave me a manicure and did a really really good job clipping all of my cuticles, I'm picky about my cuticles and he did it right! Basic Mani-Pedi was $30 and $5 more for callus removal- super reasonable. Bear was both friendly and professional, if I'm in the area again I will for sure be back! read more

First time here was good. The lady who did my nails put the acrylic on uneven. Didn't complain just had her finish and left. I went back cuz I loved the atmosphere and the owner is so fun and makes me smile. This second time is the last time i will be going here. I went in for a fill. Same lady as last time says oh it will be $37 for a fill. A little steep for a fill but ok. Then i told her I need a nail replaced. She said no problem then proceeded to pick at my nails. I told her I want a fill. She said no full set. Now i know if it's lifted they need to remove it but that wasn't the case. She then proceeds to tell me see they fall off as she's tearing off my nails. She said only $10 more. Again I repeated I only want a fill. Then she says on well it's $5 for the one new nail so just get new set only $10 more. So I Said ok that'd be your tip money but whatever. She then does my nails. The tip on one nail wasn't the full nail. I asked her to replace it she said no that it's fine. I asked again and she said no. Then it gets worse. She puts the acrylic on its uneven AGAIN and is all over the bottom. This time I asked her to even the acrylic and clean the bottom of my nails. This is when she cuts my finger! I've NEVER had this happen to me. She says nothing and continues on working. I tell her what colors I want and i wanted one nail to have glitter at the tip and not the whole nail. She says $5 more. I asked for just some glitter at the tip? She said ya it's a design. I said what about the full nail!? She said oh ok no charge. That made no sense. It was a horrible mess and I'll never be coming back. I'm currently picking the polish off my fingers as when she painted them she went past my nail bed. read more

I went today to get a pedicure from Central Nails. It's the first nail place I've been to as a new Phoenix resident, but because of decent reviews I decided it was close enough to where I live, and not too pretentious. I generally prefer hole in the wall nail places to salons or even the cute little nail places in old houses or anything. The strip mall-type are comforting to me. I got the Special Pedicure, which was $28 and included everything the basic pedi did, but with callous removal, massage, and sugar scrub. Everyone was very friendly, and the woman doing mine did a nice job; my feet feel very nice right now! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because it seemed a little short, especially the massage. When you pay more in order to get a massage, I expect a pretty decent massage. However, I did mess up one of my nails as soon as I pulled out of the parking lot-- my foot slipped on the brake and smushed the nail polish off my nail. Luckily, that was the worst that happened. I returned and they were very nice and redid the nail for me for free. This is something I expect most places to do anyway, but they were very gracious about it and made some jokes. I would recommend this place: nice people, no frills, easy to get an appointment and good customer service. read more

I don't frequently get my nails done, but I just landed a new job and moved to a new city and wanted to treat myself. $58 dollars later I left with a full set and a pedicure, that lasted 2 days. This place is a little hard to locate, but totally worth searching for! It's tucked away in the little plaza that appears to have a few big stores that have closed and behind a busy Filiberto's so it's easy to miss. I was actually kind of scared of what I was walking into since the outside seemed a little run down but I had read the reviews online and saw that they were mostly praise for the business. When I walked in, there were a couple ladies getting manicures and pedicures. The lady upfront, also working on a manicure, asked me what service I needed as she continued working on her customer's nails. I wanted an eyebrow wax. She (who I later found out was Suzy, the lady everyone raves about in their reviews) politely told her customer my eyebrow wax would only take a few minutes and then got up to help me right away. At first, I thought this was a little weird and rude, but it was pretty helpful to me. Otherwise, I would've waited there for another thirty minutes for a wax that takes about ten minutes. We go into the wax room and waxing goes as usual. The wax was the perfect temperature and Suzy was very polite, funny (she thought I was getting ready for prom. I graduated high school almost ten years ago), and worked super swiftly. My eyebrow wax was done in a jiff! After admiring my newly shaped eyebrows in the mirror, we walked back up front so I could pay. And guess what?! Their prices are great! I'll definitely be back! read more

If I could give zero stars I would!! For one I came in explaining my expectations. I don't ask for much but a good paint job and if you can't do good design well tell me. I was told they were good by the lady that had the desk in front. Well that was a lie!! My pedi no design matches and some toes do not even have a full design and she comes by and say really nice. In my mind I want to so are you blind!!! My daughters nails look like my 6 year old did the design which I was charged $5 for and all she did was take gold paint and made one squiggly line which does not resemble a lightning bolt. I end up walking out with out my nails painted and they charged me $215 for the worst service ever!! Oh and to top it off didn't even respect the Yelp coupon of 10% off read more
