You can bring your own scrubs instead of buying theirs, as long as they are solid dark blue. The only thing that really needed changed was the way the curriculum was set up - instead of passing out a syllabus that told you what would be happening on which day, the instructors sort of just told you the day before what you should have read for tomorrow. That was kind of annoying, especially most people in the evening class are also working full-time during the day. It also created some confusion when one instructor told us one chapter to prepare for the next day but then the next day, the other instructor said we were supposed to go over & be tested on a different chapter. Other than that, I had a great experience and feel well-prepared.

Each class you will do a variety of blood draws, finger sticks, and injections, not on an orange or rubber arm.. nope on each other or the instructors (fully under their supervision at all times!!). You will be confident walking out of there that you can properly locate and draw blood the proper way without hurting anyone or digging for the vein (we've all had those). David instructs in detail the fundamentals of a medical office, client care, the process of lab blood work, the tubes, HIPAA,CPR,EKG,.. and so much more. I never thought at my age of late 30s I could wrap my head around new material or even pronunciation of medical words. David really helps break those barriers down, he has many concepts of ways to help you remember things like how the blood flows through the heart, veins, what their functions are and why, lab concepts of procedures and additives for each tube. I looked at many options when I knew, as an Esthetician, I wanted to cross over to the medical side. I'm so glad I made the drive to this establishment, I live in Cincy so every weekend I drove 1.5 hrs both ways, some times I stayed sometimes I drove back, so dedication is an understatement. It was my home for 10 weeks on Sat/Sun. I made the drive because I wanted hands on and let's be honest Quick turn around so I could move forward... I did not want to spend 6mths at a career center college, work full time and try to do all they need for the same certificate. Best money spent!

Then, they did not have a class I was able to attend before my ACLS expired. AND to top it all off, no refund because 'we don't do refunds and we offer rescheduling.' I'm a travel nurse, so the rescheduling was not an option. This class was $200. I had to book elsewhere, HOWEVER, the class I found was same accreditation and ONLY $75. I thought this was EXTREMELY POOR customer service from a company that exists purely to help medical professionals who serve the public.
