Take elevator in garage to level 2 there is a pedestrian bridge to Ross. Tip: You can access Rhodes from Ross but its quicker to get off at level one and walk outside. I was going to Rhodes. Check in is easy. Turn right at the info booth and you will see the registration room. They will log you in and then walk you to your next floor or department for your procedure. You kind of feel like you have your own tour guide. Waiting rooms were clean. They had reclining seats in some of them. The secretary at endoscopy was not at her station for five minutes and people who came in after me then got checked in before me Found that irritating. Plus they just left my stickers on her desk... for all to see. pretty sure that is a HIPPA violation. I didnt like my stickers abandoned on an empty desk. The person scheduled in front of me was late so I got a room 45 min early! Yay me. Tip: always get to these appt times promptly or early.... That person is going to be sad they were late. Staff was great. I need filtered IVs due to a heart condition and that was available and checked on by both anesthesia and my surgeon/doctor. Felt my heart safety was very well cared for. Procedure was explained thoroughly. Dr Hooper was personable, and answered any questions I had thoroughly without rushing or making me feel silly for having questions. Procedure went smoothly. Seems cancer free, thats a good thing. Now just waiting on stomach biopsies. If you ever need a thorough, competent and kind doctor to determine if you have ulcers/stomach cancer... I highly recommend Alexander Hooper at OSU.

Before I going to say how deeply angry I'm about this OSU Urology Dept I have to give thanks to…read morethose employees who cared & tried to help my son with his kidney stone. Doctor Creagh Boulger at OUS East treated my son with vigilance when my son came in bleeding dark red blood & in tremendous pain. He restored the Opioids for the pain which is rated worst than childbirth. Included was a Cat Scan to make sure his kidney wasn't totally blocked & treated my son with Autism with dignity. Garin from the Patient Response Team listened to my concerns & it seemed to me that he was going to try hard to get better treatment for my son. It is possible that he had an influence as instead of waiting until May 21 for Mike's treatment they removed it on May 12th. Doctor Matthew Lee was the kind Doctor who stepped up to the plate. The practice of waiting so long to treat something as painful as a stone is unconscionable. Mike suffered so much during this ordeal from his pain, his Autism and because he couldn't work his full time job. I don't understand what caused this whether it was the industry which causes people to often declare bankruptcy in order to obtain health care. We have the most expensive health by far than the rest of the Industrialized world such as Germany for example which provides Universal health care, out lives us & those who have job pay about 1/2 what wee pay here. Every time I myself suffered from kidney stones the Medical team would give the patient 4 to 5 days to pass it and it it wasn't passed in that time they would go in and remove it. Mike will avoid OSU if he is ever to get the stones again. And in most cases such as mine he will eventually have another attacks.

BEWARE: Do not go here! I came here for an "Urgent Care" visit. They are NOT urgent care. I have…read moreUnited Healthcare, and I thought there must have been a mistake because I know my copay is $40. Imagine my surprise to find out they bill you with the rate of an outpatient hospital, which means you get slapped with a huge deductible. In this case it isn't my insurance's fault, OSU Wexner let me know they bill ALL imaging (including a simple xray) separately, which means your insurance will apply what you owe to whatever deductible you have on your policy. Stay away if you need an "urgent care" appointment. I don't know how they get away with being so misleading.

RIGHT when you walk in there were concierge to advise patients where to go, which was nice. Not expected, but nice to have! Check in was on the first floor and was pretty quick! Then I headed up to the floor where my provider's suite was, there was a second mini check-in to advise me on how far down the hall to go to the appropriate waiting room. Wait wasn't long, the rooming process was pretty efficient and the visit was great! Excellent provider and very happy! LOVE the facility, parking was very adequate. There was plenty of spaces right up front to park and the traffic wasn't crazy in the area nor was it in the facility's lot. Not sure if that's because the facility is new or maybe due to it being an outpatient building... not sure. Either way, great experience! Start to finish was under an hour so that was super great!

Dr Kaylor and his staff were very friendly, professional, and helpful. The experience went well and I am pleased with the level of detail provided in the pre op screening and post op report afterwards. Also, I arrived about 20 minutes early, got paperwork done, and the doctor was running early as well so that was a nice little side perk. I have not gone for my follow up yet but I am quite confident that the quality and professionalism will continue. I waited to the end to mention that the girl that checked me in the lobby was polite but I was not real impressed with her. Don't let that keep you from getting good service ever were else in the process. I recommend this dr and this practice!

I had been a patient with Ohio Gastro Group and moved out of state to Colorado. What should have…read morebeen a simple referral process turned into an incredibly frustrating experience. Initially, I was told they could not provide a referral because I had not been seen within the past year. After I left a review expressing my concerns, they changed their position and agreed to send a referral--but only for an office visit, not for the colonoscopy that had been recommended. The inconsistency is what makes this so frustrating. Ohio Gastro Group stated they could not refer me for a colonoscopy because I had not been seen recently enough, yet they were more than willing to schedule that same colonoscopy at their own facility without requiring an office visit first. If I am medically appropriate for the procedure in Ohio, why am I suddenly not appropriate for a referral to have the exact same procedure performed near my new home? My grandfather died from colon cancer, so timely screening is important to me. By refusing to provide a proper referral, I am now facing a 3-6 month wait to establish care with a new gastroenterologist in Colorado before I can even schedule the procedure. Meanwhile, I could have had the colonoscopy completed within days if I traveled back to Ohio and paid their office. The entire situation gave the impression that generating additional office visits and revenue was being prioritized over continuity of care and patient convenience. I expected better coordination and support from a medical practice when relocating out of state, especially for a procedure they themselves recommended.
