I have been through an incredibly frustrating and disheartening ordeal, especially after having been a loyal patient for over a decade With DR Cyer office. I've been a patient of Dr. Cyr for approximately 10 years. In the past, I always felt she was a compassionate and attentive provider, and I trusted her with my care. However, over the past years and a half , my experience with her office has changed dramatically -- and unfortunately, not for the better. I've been trying to schedule a routine wellness check-up with Dr. Cyr for nearly two years. Despite my flexibility (accepting any time or day they could offer), every appointment has either been canceled or reschedule as they said, in the most frustrating cases, minutes before I was set to arrive . They are different times they called me to ask me to call the office from the parking lot or minutes before to get there to see if Dr Cyer would see me or has to deliver a baby. I have been taking anytime they offered, ask permission in my job, and it is kind of a joke when they asked me to call from the parkin lot. Seriously? From my job to their office is 45 minutes, when in the world doctors office ask a patient to call minutes before to see if the doctor is going to be able to see you. And the same excuse, repeated over and over when they cancel my appointment after many many times. paired with last-minute cancellations and an unwillingness to be honest about the situation, has left me deeply disillusioned. Even more concerning is the behavior of the front desk staff. The two women who typically answer the phone have been consistently rude, condescending, and dismissive. They interrupt, speak over me, and respond to valid concerns with defensiveness rather than empathy. On one occasion, when I mentioned that appointments were repeatedly canceled, I was abruptly corrected -- "listen, As I said It's not canceled, it's rescheduled" -- despite the fact that the automated messages clearly used the word "cancel." What makes this even more disappointing is that I did manage to see Dr. Cyr briefly about a year ago for an IUD removal. At that time, I expressed my difficulty getting in for a wellness exam, and she told me to let the front desk know, as they were supposedly handling scheduling due to another doctor's retirement. I followed her advice -- yet still ran into the same pattern of dismissals, cancellations, and poor treatment from the staff. I understand that Dr. Cyr may be focused on other priorities, and I respect her work in labor and delivery. But patients deserve transparency. If she's no longer seeing patients for wellness exams, the office should simply say so. Giving out appointments just to cancel them later -- repeatedly -- wastes time, energy, and trust. I've decided to find another OB-GYN. It's sad to part ways after so many years, but the lack of professionalism and basic respect from the front office has made it impossible to continue. I hope Dr. Cyr becomes aware of how her staff is representing her -- because it's not aligned with the quality of care she once provided. Because I realize yesterday when they called me to cancel is that DR Cyer is not taking any more of her patients for wellness exams, and as a coincidence reading the other reviews the same situation is happening with other patient. I attached around 10 photos with the messages about the cancelations as a prove of this.

    I love the charts here!

I see WHNP Whitney Padgett when I go for my well-woman exam. She is gentle and kind, funny and makes excellent conversation, and resourceful when I ask questions. She is willing to work with my requests and support my choice in birth control; I identify as transgender and having a trustworthy gynecologist when I have dysphoria about my body is very important to me for both my physical health and mental health. 5/5 stars for her and her "We gotta protect your uterus" motto. I give 4/5 stars only because the front office staff have changed my appointments a few times, and now that I live in Chandler and am without a car (I take a Lyft which is about $25-30 one way), this is very inconvenient to not get a call or email about a change. Once I showed up and they had moved my exam date to another day. They offered to let me stay there and see if there was an opening. Luckily, someone didn't show up and I was able to be seen. The last time, I was told my appointment was at 2:45pm but it was bumped back to 3:45pm. I had nowhere else to go and sit, so I had to wait an hour in the lobby with COVID-19 being more effective at spreading indoors still being an issue. Other than these instances, however, I love this place! This is why I keep going back!

I agreed, but the testosterone had an adverse affect on my and I spent the next three months irritable, aggressive, and full of uncontrollable anger. It affected my relationships. I almost lost my husband because of my mood shifts and irrational anger. I lost my self esteem, I grew body hair all over and I hated myself. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't think rationally. It was like a monster had taken control of my body and wouldn't let go. I decided I would never make the mistake of adding T to my hormones again. Last month I decided I wanted to try the pellet again, minus the testosterone. I went in for a checkup, and thoroughly explained what had happened last time and that while I wanted an estrogen pellet, I did not want testosterone again. The doctor agreed, she said "That was way too much, we won't do that again." We scheduled the procedure for late May. The procedure took place last thursday, and when it was over I said "I'm glad I won't have to deal with that testosterone anymore." and the doctor responded "What do you mean, we put testosterone in this pellet too." I told them to take the pellet out immediately, that we had had a thorough conversation about this and I made it clear that under no circumstances did I want testosterone. She said she didn't remember the conversation. I told her it's explicitly her job to remember the conversation. She told me there's nothing in the records about it. I told her it's explicitly her job to keep those records. The pellet had already crumbled in my body at this point and she informed me that she was unable to remove it. She gave me supplemental estrogen and prescribed spirolactone, but neither has proven effective in keeping this aggression in check. I am now faced with the prospect of another three months of artificial irritability, anger, and rage, and it is directly the fault of Arcadia Well Woman. It was malpractice, and it was assault. I wish I had the capacity to sue them. I wish I had the grace to let it go. But thanks to their actions, I have neither. Under no circumstances would I ever recommend someone go to this doctor.

Every single time I went in, the staff was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Appointments they claimed were scheduled were not actually booked, which created unnecessary stress and confusion. I constantly had to advocate for myself because no one clearly explained what appointments I was there for or what was supposed to happen next. The insurance issues were also a nightmare. I am a veteran and receive maternity care through the VA. Their office spoke directly with my VA maternity care coordinator, yet I still had problems with my insurance at almost every visit. Instead of trying to help or find a solution, the attitude I got was basically, "Sorry, nothing we can do." That is unacceptable, especially when dealing with a pregnant patient in a vulnerable position. Toward the end of my pregnancy, I actually started canceling appointments because going into that office caused me more stress than reassurance. There were days I left in tears. The front desk staff showed no empathy, no professionalism, and no willingness to do anything beyond the bare minimum. As for Dr. Bruce, I did not have major issues with him personally, but I did feel dismissed at times. I understand insurance and front desk problems are not directly his job, but they are happening in his office, under his name. When I brought up issues, I did not feel like anyone cared enough to address them. I also had extremely severe varicose veins during pregnancy. Dr. Bruce did not seem very concerned, and I had to push to get a referral. When I finally saw the vein specialist, she was very concerned and told me they were the worst veins she had seen in about 20 years. Overall, I left this office feeling unsupported, dismissed, and stressed during one of the most vulnerable times of my life. I wish the people working there cared more about the type of care they are supposed to be providing. Pregnancy is already overwhelming. Patients should not have to fight the front desk, fight insurance confusion, and fight to be taken seriously at every visit.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this practice, particularly for patients with a history of sexual trauma. At both visits, the front desk (Gaylen) experience was disappointing. I was not greeted warmly, communication felt abrupt, and I was repeatedly asked to complete paperwork electronically without much explanation or assistance. During my first appointment, there were unexpected issues verifying my insurance. I have used the same insurance with multiple specialists and providers without difficulty. The situation delayed my appointment by approximately 25 minutes, and I was asked to contact other medical offices myself to obtain information that I believed should have been accessible through standard verification procedures. My second visit was significantly more distressing. I had previously discussed with my gynecologist that providing a urine sample was a trigger for me due to past trauma. Despite this, I was informed immediately before my procedure that a pregnancy test would be required and that the appointment could not proceed without additional testing. This requirement had not been communicated to me beforehand. After speaking with the office manager and explaining my concerns, she was apologetic and ultimately confirmed that, because I already had an IUD in place, the procedure could move forward. I appreciated her willingness to reconsider the situation, but I was disappointed that my chart notes did not appear to have been reviewed before the issue escalated. I want to acknowledge the providers I worked with. Rachel was compassionate, validating, and made me feel heard during my initial visit. Ashley was also kind and professional during a very difficult procedure. Due to a combination of pain, anxiety, and emotional distress, the IUD insertion was ultimately unsuccessful. Ashley sought assistance from another provider and offered pain management options, but after approximately 45 minutes, I decided to stop the procedure because I was overwhelmed and in too much discomfort. My concerns are primarily with the administrative processes and lack of trauma-informed communication. Patients should be informed of testing requirements before arriving for procedures, and documented triggers and accommodations should be reviewed and respected. While I had positive experiences with the medical providers themselves, my overall experience with the office left me feeling unsupported and emotionally distressed.
