The actual doctors and practitioners were amazing and very kind. The billing system is what makes my experience negative. I have health insurance and have been to many other gynecologist offices to be billed my $35 copay. At this office, they ran all the same tests, very basic ones that should be covered in an annual exam. I was charged $368. A terrible experience and I will not be returning. Absolutely psychotic system. At every turn of our complicated pregnancy, we were given the greediest referrals and being led on. The fact that there is zero grievance for a miscarriage is insane to me. Furthermore, the misleading examinations and intentional hiding of the financial burden these follow-ups would have is worthy of an extreme reaction. Great staff and caring team. I have been going here for a few years now and the front desk is always polite. The doctors I have seen were all very attentive and listened - provided guidance and answers to all my questions. The offices are clean and I rarely have a long - if any - wait, which is great. I have been through an incredibly frustrating and disheartening ordeal, especially after having been a loyal patient for over a decade With DR Cyer office. I've been a patient of Dr. Cyr for approximately 10 years. In the past, I always felt she was a compassionate and attentive provider, and I trusted her with my care. However, over the past years and a half , my experience with her office has changed dramatically -- and unfortunately, not for the better. I've been trying to schedule a routine wellness check-up with Dr. Cyr for nearly two years. Despite my flexibility (accepting any time or day they could offer), every appointment has either been canceled or reschedule as they said, in the most frustrating cases, minutes before I was set to arrive . They are different times they called me to ask me to call the office from the parking lot or minutes before to get there to see if Dr Cyer would see me or has to deliver a baby. I have been taking anytime they offered, ask permission in my job, and it is kind of a joke when they asked me to call from the parkin lot. Seriously? From my job to their office is 45 minutes, when in the world doctors office ask a patient to call minutes before to see if the doctor is going to be able to see you. And the same excuse, repeated over and over when they cancel my appointment after many many times. paired with last-minute cancellations and an unwillingness to be honest about the situation, has left me deeply disillusioned. Even more concerning is the behavior of the front desk staff. The two women who typically answer the phone have been consistently rude, condescending, and dismissive. They interrupt, speak over me, and respond to valid concerns with defensiveness rather than empathy. On one occasion, when I mentioned that appointments were repeatedly canceled, I was abruptly corrected -- "listen, As I said It's not canceled, it's rescheduled" -- despite the fact that the automated messages clearly used the word "cancel." What makes this even more disappointing is that I did manage to see Dr. Cyr briefly about a year ago for an IUD removal. At that time, I expressed my difficulty getting in for a wellness exam, and she told me to let the front desk know, as they were supposedly handling scheduling due to another doctor's retirement. I followed her advice -- yet still ran into the same pattern of dismissals, cancellations, and poor treatment from the staff. I understand that Dr. Cyr may be focused on other priorities, and I respect her work in labor and delivery. But patients deserve transparency. If she's no longer seeing patients for wellness exams, the office should simply say so. Giving out appointments just to cancel them later -- repeatedly -- wastes time, energy, and trust. I've decided to find another OB-GYN. It's sad to part ways after so many years, but the lack of professionalism and basic respect from the front office has made it impossible to continue. I hope Dr. Cyr becomes aware of how her staff is representing her -- because it's not aligned with the quality of care she once provided. Because I realize yesterday when they called me to cancel is that DR Cyer is not taking any more of her patients for wellness exams, and as a coincidence reading the other reviews the same situation is happening with other patient. I chose this facility because it was close by for annual check ups. I wouldn't say the front desk was crazy inviting at first but overall they were helpful and forgiving. I was definitely running late for my appointment, so my fault but they definitely let me know I was late and possibly not going to be seen. Ha. They don't sugar coat anything there! My doctor was great super helpful and the MAs were awesome. My questions, no matter how silly they seemed to me, the doctor was happy to answer. read more

I had major issues with my previous OB. I started coming here at 34 weeks pregnant in search of better care after I found out that my last OB neglected to tell me I was severely anemic for months among a few other things. Dr Hahn and Ms Nicole Scott got on it immediately. They were able to get me in within a week of calling. Nicole alleviated all my fears by talking with me through all of them. Dr Hahn put in orders for more iron (my last OB didn't want to) and I managed to get my hemoglobin up to 8.4 at delivery. Dr Hahn delivered my baby and did an amazing job so much so that I get teary eyed thinking about it. She kept me calm and even laughing through it all. I didn't tear and didn't hemorrhage in spite of being super anemic and I fully believe I owe that to her. She went into detail with me on what I need to do to care for myself post delivery and made sure I am on the books for more iron. I feel cared for and seen. She knows what she is doing and she is amazing. Nicole is also amazing. I love this practice. (I use an alias on Yelp) read more

The carelessness of this practice has made the terrible experience of multiple miscarriages even more terrible. No, my losses were not their fault, but their treatment of a woman experiencing these things for the first (and unfortunately second time) was beyond disappointing and unacceptable. With both miscarriages, several months apart, I had the same inconsiderate treatment. Hcg blood tests indicating an impending loss -- yet days went by before even getting a call to tell me my results (which were already in). Multiple promises that "Dr. Spieker will call tomorrow", and then 2-3 days later, I'm calling the office again because I still heard nothing. This happened about 3 or 4 times. Twice now, two different medical assistants have told me a voicemail was left for me, when there was nothing on my phone. After dealing with all of this in the first loss and being utterly frustrated by Dr. Spieker and the staff, I thought I would give them another try when I become pregnant again, which quickly resulted in my second loss. I thought maybe they would do better this time, and that a second miscarriage would at least warrant a call from Dr. Spieker (especially after I was promised one yet again). I am dumbfounded that they truly didn't seem to care at all. I understand that doctors and their staff are very busy, they have emergencies coming up all the time, and they have dealt with these situations for years. A woman losing a baby is nothing new to them. But to a woman experiencing that, who is scared and confused and grieving and traumatized, it's a very big deal. At the very least, I would expect some empathy, communication, and follow-through on their promises. Dealing with these people brought me to tears multiple times. An OBGYN practice should be helping their patients with their losses, not adding to the difficulty. read more

Based on all the reviews that give one star there is a TREND in this office. I am SO happy we moved when we did as I had all my records printed out the last time i was there and never went back. The main problem was their front office staff and their rude behavior as well as the lack of adequate, improved technology that will push this office to the next century. I see WHNP Whitney Padgett when I go for my well-woman exam. She is gentle and kind, funny and makes excellent conversation, and resourceful when I ask questions. She is willing to work with my requests and support my choice in birth control; I identify as transgender and having a trustworthy gynecologist when I have dysphoria about my body is very important to me for both my physical health and mental health. 5/5 stars for her and her "We gotta protect your uterus" motto. I give 4/5 stars only because the front office staff have changed my appointments a few times, and now that I live in Chandler and am without a car (I take a Lyft which is about $25-30 one way), this is very inconvenient to not get a call or email about a change. Once I showed up and they had moved my exam date to another day. They offered to let me stay there and see if there was an opening. Luckily, someone didn't show up and I was able to be seen. The last time, I was told my appointment was at 2:45pm but it was bumped back to 3:45pm. I had nowhere else to go and sit, so I had to wait an hour in the lobby with COVID-19 being more effective at spreading indoors still being an issue. I will start by saying Dr. Cyr is amazing and I had been going to her for 5+ years. Sadly, the scheduling department has become an absolute nightmare! Two years in a row I've had my annual Well Woman appointment canceled several times. These appointments book months in advance so when they'd call me mere days before my appointment and say they had to cancel and rebook it would be another 3-4 months out. Mind you this happened at least 3x in 2022 and 2x in 2023. The last time they canceled on me was Dec 2023 and when I asked to rebook they said they are getting a new system and can't schedule anything 'til the new year and to call back in 2024. In keeping with EVERY SINGLE other Yelp review for the 2021 year, I am adding my ONE STAR review to the sad tale of Central Phoenix Womens HealthCare. Here's why: My first annual, well-woman's exam with Dr. Jill Gibson was August 11th of 2020. At that time she: 1. Did a breast and pelvic exam. 2. Asked me if I was happy with, and wanted to stay on, my hormone replacement prescriptions, and I said yes. As per every other well-woman exam I have ever had, the office submitted their claim to my health insurance provider, which they paid as per their negotiated contract, and I was charged nothing for these preventative services. Fast forward to August 12th of 2021. I arrived for my well-woman's exam with Dr. Jill Gibson. At that time she: 1. Did a breast and pelvic exam. 2. Asked me if I was happy with, and wanted to stay on, my hormone replacement prescriptions, and I said yes. However, this time when the bill came, there was an extra $101 added on, which my insurance would not pay for. I called and asked why I am being charged an extra $101 compared to my prior year's bill, for THE EXACT SAME SERVICES. Mary, the office manager told me that the extra $101 was for the doctor asking me if I was doing fine with my hormone replacement prescriptions. I told office manager Mary that I had the EXACT SAME VISIT & INTERACTION with the doctor as I had during my August 2020 well-woman's exam, and that absolutely nothing was different. Mary said she would do some additional research and call me back. When office manager Mary called me back, she said, wait for it..........."OH, WE JUST FORGOT TO CHARGE YOU THE $101 FOR LAST YEAR'S VISIT!!!!!!!! I swear to god, this was the excuse she tried to palm-off on me. This is an epic customer service fail, and I will never be back. Additionally, during my August 2021 visit, they also failed to: 1. Hand me back my insurance card 2. Mail my insurance card back to me, like they promised 3. Forward my bloodwork results to the requesting doctor for an upcoming surgery. Emily Sear is wonderful. I've been seeing her for years! However, the front office organization and scheduling is absolutely terrible. It's become a nightmare! I schedule my annual exam a year in advance and every time I get rescheduled multiple times 2 to 6 months out. It's ridiculous!!! So each year I'm 2 to 6 months over due for my exam. Half the time they don't even call me to let me know. So I waste my time, taking time off of work, getting ready, driving there, showing up, with no appointment. For an appointment that had already been rescheduled 3 times over several months. Oh and they still send out confirmation voicemails, so each time I think I still have an appointment but apparently don't. Please get it together people. There's multiple bad reviews about scheduling. read more

If I could give Dr. Cyr 5 stars, I would. But this review is for the office in general. I've been coming to this office or 10+ years. Dr. Cyr has always been amazing and I have nothing but positive things to say about her. This office lost me as a patient early 2023 when I called regarding a possible miscarriage. The office staff asked that I come in for blood work ONLY, I would not be seeing a Dr or a Nurse practitioner that day, but that I would be asked to come back 2-3 days later for a follow up. Likely a scenario they hear about often, but as someone who was experiencing this for the first time, I did not understand why this was their protocol. Send me home scared and not know what was to come? I was to wait 3 days to find out if my baby was going to survive? There is no way I will ever be returning, and I encourage you to find an office that will treat you with the empathy and care YOU deserve. Now moving on to the front staff. Again, a patient of 10+ years. I get we all have bad days but the hostility and the condescending tone the staff always had during my visits or phone calls was consistent. Extremely rude and unfriendly. I never looked forward to my interactions with anyone other than with Dr. Cyr and her medical assistants. The billing for this office is EXTREMELY outdated. My last visit was Nov 2022 and I am only just getting medical bills sent to me. Very hard to keep track of what you have already paid or if you are being double charged. There were times when I wouldn't even get a bill, and was told in my next yearly woman exam that I had an outstanding balance. If there was a question for what the bill was, I would have to go to a back office IF they were available and endure their horrible attitudes. read more

I came here so Dr Jill Gibson could be my main OBGYN. I saw her a few times and was a delight. They also have you meet the rest of the doctors and PAs. They were all very nice. I had 2 of my children at Banner. Both time Dr Gibson was not on call so Dr Cyr and Dr. Spieker delivered my children. They were amazing with me and were a big help during delivery. I couldn't have asked for another way. Dr. Gibson works elsewhere. I didn't give 5 stars because the office is outdated. The sink water in the restroom would barely come out. The front office is okay. Not the friendliest. But they work. Also I work in oral surgery. In our exam rooms and surgery rooms we CaviWipe everything after every patient. But here i don't think they do. I remember seeing the little step on the exam bed having old blood. Once during my period I had an exam. Getting up I saw my blood on that step. Was it cleaned up? Who knows. They just use that paper sheet over the bed. I also had the paragaud placed by Whitney she did a very good job explaining and the insertion. read more

Starting off all my appointments seemed great. I had Dr. Spieker and she was thorough and reassuring when I went in with my husband. Then at 24 weeks I started to go into preterm labor. I went in and didn't get seen by Spieker but by an np and am told to rest. Then I ended up in the hospital with bleeding and contractions. In the labor and delivery room where we were scared that my baby was coming, Spieker came in and started talking a bunch of nonsense. My family and I stared at her blankly because we all thought she was on drugs or drunk. She was babbling on about how this stuff happens and was staring off at the ceiling instead of looking me in the eyes and reassuring me with proper medical advice. I ended up being on bed rest at the hospital due to the bleeding and one of the nurses told me Spieker had called and said they could discharge me and the nurse scoffed at her and said no way due to my bleeding and contractions. Spieker supposedly said she didn't know I was still bleeding. So she was making uninformed decisions and risking my baby's health. I also had other lab works showing my calcium and iron were low and that I had an extremely high white blood cell count. After a week at the hospital, I went into labor. Dr. Hahn ended up being present and I heard her say to a nurse that she wished she wasn't there. I was livid at that point. After giving birth to my son, I went in for my postpartum appointment and again I didn't see Spieker but an np. I was asked about birth control and how everything was going so far. I told them I wanted a follow up from all my issues I had at the hospital because I was feeling nauseous. They drew blood in their lab and I got a call the next day that everything was fine. I told the front desk girl I was still feeling nauseous and she just said well your blood work is fine. It amazes me that this office is even operating. The front desk staff is rude. I never got told when to head up to the front desk after Spieker would walk out of the room during appointments. There was never that conversation about my preterm delivery or my health in general. I had the absolute worst experience with this office. I am completely disappointed in my care. I switched to a new doctor and he's running appropriate tests and ultrasounds to give me an answer as it should be- not idiotic babbling about how these things "just happen". read more

I am on my third pregnancy, and I am due in about 3 weeks. I've been with Dr. Gibson since she was at her previous office and she has been been my doctor for all 4 of my pregnancies. I absolutely love Dr. Gibson as my physician! I've recommended her to my family and friends, and now I have 4 women in my family who see her. My review has nothing to do with the care I have received or continue to receive from Dr. Gibson. I am disappointed with the scheduling staff. It has been extremely difficult for me to schedule an appointment with them during the last couple of weeks. They have been rude and inconsiderate. There have been several times where I was understanding when they've called to reschedule my appointments due to the doctor being on call, but they have been understanding to my needs during this pregnancy. I am now being seen weekly and have not been able to get an appointment schedule due to their schedule. They make me feel bad when I've called to see hear their appointment times and I've informed them that I am a teacher, who is going on maternity leave in a few weeks, and cannot simply miss work in the middle of the day. Their inflexibility with the schedule, along with the bad attitudes, shows how uncaring they are. read more

Lived in this area all my life, never realized the entrance was in the back...didn't even know it went all the way around! There was only one young lady at the front when I showed up. She was quick to check me in and hand me the papers to fill out. Two more showed up and I was handing one my papers and cards, the first girl was reprimanding the third girl. Something about a patient having to pay for a service that her insurance didn't cover. Apparently the third girl didn't verify her insurance to inform the patient she might have to pay out of pocket. I understand the frustration and having to break the bad news to this patient. But the reprimand in front of another patient wasn't cool. The girl who was handling my information must've been new as she was being guided by the third girl. Dr. Jill Gibson was my provider and let me tell you! From the moment she walked in I was like - okay, she looks nice. And she was! Very informative, very clinical when needed, she looked you straight in the face listening intently to what you're there for. I really liked her and felt like I stroke gold when it comes to those types of visits. She was thorough and quick when it came to the exam part, offered suggestions and tips, and just all around great experience. Will go to her for my women's exams for sure! If you're like me and research and moan and groan and dread looking for someone to see, I highly recommend Dr Gibson. read more

They do not use electronic medical records and they do not have a system in place to send reminder calls or texts. This may be fine for standard annual appointments but is a nightmare for a first time pregnancy with a high frequency of appointments to manage, and causes them to drop the ball in providing quality care. The first red flag was when I never received my NIPT results. I could not get through to the office so ended up having to call the test provider to receive my results. Multiple weeks later, the office finally called to ask if anyone had ever provided my results and seemed to not recognize that this was a big misstep they should be apologizing for. Then, I missed my 20 week ultrasound as a result of scheduling confusion and had an awful experience with a curmudgeonly front desk employee who only cared to make it clear that appointment reminder calls were a "courtesy" - meaning to her that they were only done if there was time and not to be expected. The office was not able to fit me in for a reschedule for weeks and I had to scramble to find an external ultrasound provider on my own. It was really stressful to have to cold call random ultrasound providers, most of whom rejected me as the curmudgeon neither gave me a referral nor could be bothered to call one in for me. As a result, I ended up changing providers halfway through my pregnancy which felt a little scary but was the best decision I could have made. Switching to an office with an electronic portal for medical records, educational content, and appointment reminders was a game changer, and a larger practice supported much more flexible scheduling. While I did not have a particularly negative experience with the providers at Central Phoenix Women's Health Care, switching providers did highlight that I had been missing education and learning resources during the first half of my pregnancy. The doctors answered questions I brought to them, but I didn't know what I didn't know. Until this practice improves their front of the house, technology support, and begins using electronic medical recordkeeping, I would be wary of using them. read more

They are still requiring masks even for vaxed and boosted patients. If you don't have one they charge you $2 PER PAPER MASK. I understand if they need to charge a little, but why cheat your patients, many of whom are on fixed incomes or Medicaid/Medicare? The entire box doesn't cost much more than that. A doctor's office should be the last place you experience deliberate price gouging. Yet, a nurse entering info into a computer behind the registration desk has her mask down around her chin, but I'm forced to pay $2. They aren't social distancing, the pen and clipboard I used weren't sanitized, but they sure are making $2 off of patients by enforcing masks while their own staff sits at registration without their masks on. Dr. Spieker is well-respected in the community and I'm shocked that she would treat her patients this way. read more

Don't waste your time. Office seemed great at first, but find somewhere else. Front office staff is so uninformed and rude you'll want to scream. Don't show up 1 minute late for your appointment where you can't bring anyone, but expect to sit and wait 45. Healed perfectly from a previous doctor c-section and now left with a hack job. Called to confirm lab was in and taking appointments only to drive the 45 minutes to find out she's on lunch and won't be back for the hour. Front desk said the office is closing for lunch and I could return. By lunch they mean head out to the parking lot and smoke. Do yourself a favor and find yourself a professional staff. read more

I'm going to start out with the great stuff, because I absolutely LOVE Dr. Hahn. This is my first pregnancy and she has made it so enjoyable and given me such peace of mind. Every appointment is very thorough and she always has time for all of my questions and concerns, even when some aren't directly related to baby. She is amazing and I would HIGHLY recommend her to any of my family and friends. I seriously can't recommend her enough - she's down to earth, direct, funny, personable and just makes you feel comfortable in general. I'm even switching to have her be my PCP after I have the baby. We did have a scare around 34 weeks due to a bad ultrasound with SimonMed (a different ultrasound provider) and Dr. Hahn and her nurse, Amanda, were super on top of things and in constant correspondence with me throughout the few days where we had to get a new ultrasound at the hospital, etc., even though it wasn't their fault at all that the tech at SimonMed messed up. I feel like I can call them for any question or concern and am not annoying them- they always get back to me pretty quickly! The only reason I took one star off is because the front desk staff sucks. They're usually kind of rude and scheduling seems to be a bit of an issue, so I always try to schedule as many appointments in advance as I can, if possible. Dr. Hahn is one of the most popular doctors, so you have to make sure you get your appointments scheduled quick! But, I'm personally willing to deal with a little bit of rudeness from the staff to have a great pre-natal doctor / team. GO HERE if you are pregnant and see Dr. Hahn! I had a great experience with Dr. Gibson!!! I liked my previous OB/GYN just fine but her location was no longer convenient. I obsessed over finding the right OB/GYN practice based on Dr's, location, delivery hospitals (for future), ect. After having my first appointment with Dr. Gibson, I feel confident with my decision. Dr. Gibson, was warm, inviting, answered all my questions and gave me very detailed information on what signs to pay attention to when trying to conceive. I didn't have any of the bad experiences with the staff as others have. I hope that they improve or that I never encounter that. read more

Dr.Cyr has been my doctor for years but I have seen Dr.Gibson and Dr.Hahn as well. Everyone that has met or knows Dr Cyr (including hospital nurses, other doctors,etc) will all tell you the same thing- she is always incredibly nice ...I mean 3:00am or anytime of day- it's just who she is. But aside from her compassionate demeanor she is very intelligent and fantastic and knowledgeable. She is so encouraging and supportive through birth - smooth or with complications (I've had both). And fantastic and informative for general wellness care too. Dr.Gibson is kind, smart and very helpful as well. Highly recommend these doctors! read more

For our first baby, we were seen by Dr. Cyr and really enjoyed her--she's sometimes OVERWHELMINGLY positive and upbeat, but that is a major plus for a stressed out first time Mom. Dr. Hahn ended up being on call and delivering that baby and now she's my primary doctor and will deliver baby #2. I've also met and seen both of the nurse practitioners here (Whitney and Jill) and like them a lot. I've been a patient here for several years for my regular women's healthcare. Dr. Whitney was always great, however, I have never had a good experience with the front desk staff (extremely rude and very unfriendly), and I've always overlooked it until now. I just got pregnant with my first child and after finally meeting Dr. Hahn, I decided it was best to change providers. This practice forces you to rotate between multiple doctors and no one is ever on the same page (always confused with what you need to have done and will fail to order basic required testing forcing you to return multiple times). They have absolutely terrible follow up with patients if you are waiting on important genetic test results and they will drag their feet in transferring over your files. Lastly, and most importantly, I found that they will charge you a high co-pay even if you don't have one and they also engage in balance billing (illegal). Meaning they will attempt to bill you for whatever your insurance didn't pay them despite being in-network -this is ON TOP of your deductible- then refuse to refund you what they overcharged. Make sure you double check your insurance EOBs before ever paying a bill from this provider. Proceed with caution with this place! read more

5 stars for Dr. Gibson! I've also seen Jill, Nurse Practitioner, really enjoyed her visit too. I've been a long term patient of Dr. Gibson, followed her to this practice, so far front desk and back office have been great. During my pregnancy they also like you to meet the other providers in the office, met most of them , all very open to answer questions & handle my pregnancy well. read more

I made an appointment like 2 months ago and finally I came today from like 30mins driving just to know that Dr Jill Gibson won't be working here any more. She was the only reason a came to this place. Because the front desk girls always give me a hard time. Like now. They could just call me to let me know that Dr Jill will no longer work here, but no, they just wasted my time. Thanks a lot for that. read more

I would definitely recommend this office for well women exams. Dr. Cyr made me SO comfortable and answered all my questions thoroughly. Explained the procedure to me and made it super quick and painless. I also really appreciated how lgbt friendly she was, as I've had the opposite experience with other providers. She far exceeded my expectations and I'll continue to see her even if she moves practices! read more

I had the worst experience at this office today. The front desk staff was so rude I left within 3 minutes of my checking into my appointment. These women have zero respect for others. I will never recommend anyone to go here. The should be ashamed of themselves. read more
