I switched to Premier OB based on my doula's recommendation specifically to work with Michelle Davis because I wanted a supported, low-intervention birth. I came in with clear birth preferences and a lot of trust in this practice. That trust was completely broken. My labor experience was disorganized and distressing. The nurses struggled to get in contact with Michelle, and I labored for an extended period without my provider present until it was finally time to push. While I understand that birth can be unpredictable, I ended up experiencing nearly every intervention I had hoped to avoid. More importantly, I did not feel heard, respected, or advocated for at any point. The most alarming part of my experience was postpartum care. I experienced severe postpartum mental health symptoms and did not receive appropriate support, guidance, or urgency from Michelle or the office. Honestly, I didn't even felt believed. My condition escalated to the point where I was nearly in psychosis and close to taking my own life. That level of crisis requires immediate, competent care, and it simply was not there. Communication with this office is extremely poor and, frankly, unsafe. Calls go unanswered, messages are not returned, and I have been unable to get responses even for critical needs like short-term disability paperwork. At times, it has genuinely felt like I was being ignored or blocked, which is unacceptable in any medical setting--especially postpartum. I ultimately sought care from another OB, who informed me that my tear had not been properly repaired. This added unnecessary physical trauma on top of an already deeply distressing experience. To be fair, I did have positive interactions with Dr. Hervey and Dr. Merrill, who both seemed competent and compassionate, as well as a few kind nurses plus Melissa and Carrie. However, those isolated experiences do not make up for the overall lack of care, responsiveness, and accountability I experienced. I made the decision to switch to Premier OB based on a trusted recommendation, hoping for better, more supportive care. I am so, so grateful I found this practice!! I went to the meet-and-greet when I was newly pregnant and searching for a midwife, and was immediately impressed with the entire team. I ended up getting to work with Michelle, who took care of me during my pregnancy and delivered my first baby. Truly, I couldn't have asked for more! She is incredibly loving, knowledgeable, supportive, and patient-centered. She never rushed during appointments, answered any questions I had, and provided holistic care based on what she knew I wanted. I felt so supported and safe with her always! I've met with the NP and the midwife over multiple appointments so far. They are well informed and share their recommendations without any judgment on what you decide. Great bedside manner so far in my pregnancy. They respond quickly to phone or portal messages and update you on test results quickly as well. read more

Dr. Harvey and Dr. Merrill are amazing providers, and I wholeheartedly recommend them. They are caring, understanding, and truly take concerns seriously. I unfortunately experienced a pregnancy loss, and the care I received from them during that time was outstanding. They are the only reason I am giving Premier OB GYN 4 stars (I would have given 5 if not for my experience with another provider). Unfortunately, my experience with Midwife Michelle was very negative. She rarely responded to my calls or messages, and when I voiced concerns, she dismissed me by saying I was "just being anxious and overthinking." I often felt belittled and ignored. I truly believe this lack of care contributed to my pregnancy loss, as my concerns were not taken seriously. On top of that, I was even prescribed the wrong antibiotic, which I took for 10 days. I would also wait to be seen by her for 30 to 45 minutes. I could share many other things but bottom line is my experience was horrible with her and would give her zero stars. I do want to recognize her medical assistant, Bianca, who has always been helpful, caring, and attentive. She made appointments easier and was one of the few positives to having Michelle as a provider. I don't usually leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience so others are aware and never had to go through what I went through with Michelle. Losing a pregnancy is devastating, and it's even harder when you feel your provider does not have your best interest at heart. Additionally, the reception staff has been consistently unfriendly and difficult to reach, which only adds to the frustration. read more

While I have not yet delivered my baby, I was referred here because my pregnancy ended up requiring more medical care than I was originally planning. Coming from someone who was hoping to avoid doctors and medical offices as much as possible during this process, I have thankfully felt very supported by Dr. Merrell while being seen by him. My pregnancy is high-risk, so I am being cared for by both Premier and an MFM, but Dr. Merrell has been incredibly optimistic and encouraging. We leave each appointment (of which there have been many) feeling informed, heard, and supported. We always look forward to seeing him! I haven't encountered the same issues with the front office staff that others have mentioned. Every time we've been in, they've been respectful and organized. We've never had issues with not being able to contact them or schedule appointments, so they may have improved in that respect. We have not yet met Dr. Hervey who will be delivering our baby, but are looking forward to meeting him because we have heard nothing but great things. read more

I was told by the PA Kelby Bellows that my follow-up visit that she suggested would be covered as part of the original procedure I already paid for. Based on that, I went ahead with the appointment. Two months later, I received a bill for the visit. When I called to resolve the issue, the billing department was rude and dismissive, saying they "shouldn't have promised that" -- but still held me responsible for the charge. Very frustrating experience with poor communication and no accountability. Make sure to get any cost promises in writing if you go here. read more

Medical staff is ok. But the business itself is scummy and if you can't trust them with your money, how can you trust them with your health? Onto the bad business practices. They charged me a copay for an annual covered visit, they acknowledged their mistake and told me they would refund me after appointment. Six calls later, I get the run around and that so-and-so isn't there, they'll give me a call back. They lied and said they sent a check that was delivered, except there's no proof of it being received, no notice it was on the way. They have nothing to show for it and can't answer any questions on if it was deposited, where and when it was sent to. Call again, asking for more information, more hemming and hawing. I work in a medical office, with years of experience dealing with the back end of patient care. I am aware of how easy it is to complete a refund. Especially in this day and age. Please avoid, there are better options out there with more knowledgeable staff. read more

Had a great experience with this office. I mostly seen Dr. Merrell throughout my pregnancy and closer to the end I met Dr. Hervey and he delivered my baby. I could not have asked for a better experience. I was lucky to not have any health issues and if I did I'm sure they would have still taken great care of me. They worked with my doula so it was perfect as they already knew each other well. They listened to any concerns I had and let me go over my birth plan in detail. I hear alllllll the time of mothers talking about their awful labors and OBs! I always always always praise this office and my doula for keeping me safe. If you want to set yourself up for a successful pregnancy, I would pick this office! They have midwives as well and if my pregnancy is low risk again I will definitely go with one! read more

I will start by saying, Dr. Hervey IS INDEED AN AMAZING DR! My previous Ob refused to allow me to attempt a VBAC after 10 years and I was recommended to Dr. Hervey, I delivered my son with a successful VBAC, not only was Dr. Hervey kind and patient but he took the time to listen. The office staff on the other hand.....the reviews about the poor phone service is true, I also had and insurance hiccup where I should have been refunded and over 1 1/2 years later I FINALLY received a check, I called constantly and got the run around. I really try and give grace because we are all human, so know that Dr.Hervey is wonderful and the office itself requires your patience and A LOT of grace, I would still go back! read more

I just want to start out by saying ob Makenzie is An Angel!! I wish I would have had her from the start of my pregnancy but so glad she was in my l&d room with me. I don't think things would have gone so smoothly without her. I was in active labor when I arrived to the hospital, she arrived 5 mins after never left my side. 2 stars only because just one of the (many) doctors was kind and wonderful. In general, this place is simply run by no one. Because multiple providers work here, no one person seems to be responsible for management. The front desk is completely blasé about absolutely everything. You call, they don't call back. You get promised a referral, you never receive said referral. You show up for an appointment, you wait 45 minutes until you ask what's wrong, and then they tell you your doctor isn't in the building and they don't know when he will be. For a practice responsible for such an important life event, it's actually scary how little they care about their patients. I also found it extremely gross that as you're growing life, you're inundated with offers and advertisements at the office for weight loss and laser treatments once you have the baby. Just a very odd, impersonal office. All that said, Dr. Merrell was great, however he doesn't do delivery, so we left to find a better office with a higher quality of patient care. read more

I absolutely love my doctors and the customer service when I come in but it's ridiculous that no one ever picks up the phone. I went in Tuesday the 12th, called Thursday the 14th & the young lady who answered let me know that they had received the results that morning but I had to wait for the doctor Lizette to return my call to go over to results with me. I never received a phone call back Thursday the 14th so I called twice around 3 & 4 PM NO ANSWER, called twice today Friday 11-15 and still NO ANSWER!! My health is very important to me and it would be nice to know that they care as much as I do. read more

The Dr. Harvey and the other providers are amazing through pregnancy and for my first labor/delivery. They really work with and for you. My only complaint is the admin staff are not the most customer service friendly and several appointments I got in late because they were overbooked. read more
