(I can't thank you enough, George!!!) It's Saturday night, I drilled through a wire right next to the fuse box doing a home project. (Duh!) My wife and I immediately went to worst case scenarios: electrical fire, massive electrical outage and repair, etc. I chose CPE randomly based on its Yelp reviews, and hallelujah for that! George, the owner, answered and was en route within a quarter hour. Upon arrival, he diagnosed what I'd mucked up and fixed the problem within 20 to 25 minutes. The kicker: I was expecting to pay through the nose bc of the emergency call, but it was exactly what he quoted me over the phone to the penny, which was half of what I'd feared as I dialed the phone. Call me a cynic, but I was prepared to have to argue and plead for a reasonable fee. I tipped him 30% to reward his honesty/integrity. I spoke with George a few times over the phone, he was not only the most competitive, but also the best availability for scheduling. I had 3 ceiling fans installed/replaced. Spencer and Mario had them installed in just under 2 hours. They were highly professional, courteous, clean (shoe covers, masks, plastic over carpet). They took extra the time to balance the fans properly. Even explained that there services come with a 1 yr warranty. I couldn't be happier. George answers his phone, so if I had a question I didn't have to wait, which was not the case when I was calling other companies. They even take American Express for payments. I couldn't be happier. I called CPES this morning ( Saturday) and George said he could come out today to resolve my main circuit breaker problem. I could not shower, open the garage door or due laundry do to no power. He had me take a picture of the breaker and knew what to buy if necessary. He came on time, solved the problem, explained what happened and was extremely easy to deal with. We called a few companies and George came in with the right price and timeline. They completed the project with no issues, in one day, and had someone to patch up the holes in the drywall within a week. If you are on the fence about under cabinet lighting, do it and call Central Power! We use our lights every day, it adds such a wonderful ambiance to our kitchen. *****5 Stars***** without a doubt! The project/job: Complete remodel including opening up the kitchen so a large wall was removed. All the outlets and switches had to be rerouted and rewired. Also, installed and rerouted other outlets and switches in the living room TV where we could hide the cables and plugs. Lastly, three new ceiling fan installs where nothing existed before. Ozzie and David arrived promptly both days and were wearing masks! Being skeptical of contractors we have never worked with, I asked them to go over what they were scheduled to work on. They were spot on describing each specific task and their plan/reasoning on what they'd start with first -- then got straight to work. When they were done each day, they swept and cleaned up after themselves. Super thankful for George (owner and estimator), Ozzie and David. Central Power was among the first to answer my inquiry to help fix a GFI plug. I selected them because the communication was excellent and the price was fair. I was told they would send someone out the next morning at 8:00 and at 7:30 I got a message saying the technician was on his way. By 8:15 I was wondering where he was and was assured that he was on his way. Apparently there was bad traffic but when 9:00 rolled around I was a bit upset. The technician was really polite and apologetic and began working. About 15 minutes in to the repair, the owner showed up and apologized, offered a discount and the two of them completed the work. I was really impressed with the way it all turned out and that is why I am offering the 5 star rating. When an owner goes out of his way to make things right, they need to be given credit.
