This is a small gym but it is in a good neighborhood and parking was pretty easy.

This was my first time there. If you haven't worked out in a while or are just getting into it,…read moreBEWARE! Today was leg day, my legs hate me and have decided to remain in a jelly state for the time being. With that said, the work out was amazing! The trainer was super friendly and not at all pretentious or judgmental. I have been to gyms before where it's obvious I'm not a fit person and I have felt that the trainers are annoyed by that. I don't remember his name, he told me a few times but I was focusing on trying to stand. He was just super nice. It was awesome. The man at the desk was super friendly too and easy going and not at all giving me any vibe of pressuring me to become a member. I am, I just need to go to more classes to see what membership I want. I bought a group on and used it towards a 10 class pack to figure it out. I have already recommended a friend and am really excited to go back. As soon as I can walk. I liked that it was dark in there so I did t feel so visible in my uncoordinated struggles. I was not at all self conscious. Also, the ratio of women to men was like 8:2 or something like that. So that was a super bonus. Not that I care if men are there, it's just less intimidating when there are a good number of women in a class. For me anyway. I highly recommend it. The only thing is there is no sign, so I drove by it once or twice but I figured it out.

The place has a juice and smoothie bar which comes in clutch after a tough workout. I signed up for a 6 month program and can't wait to see the results

Unfortunately, that completely changed after taking a class with the instructor, Alexander Liviner. From the beginning, his attitude came across as arrogant and superior -- exactly the opposite of what I was hoping for. At one point, he made fun of me for being slow. It was completely unnecessary. If he was trying to be funny, it wasn't funny at all. It felt humiliating rather than motivating. I also got a little confused with the weights and accidentally grabbed the wrong one. Instead of guiding me or correcting me in a professional way, he made a facial expression that made me feel like I was stupid. A coach's role is to support and teach -- not to mock or belittle someone who is trying. It also felt like he clearly favored more advanced participants, giving them more attention while others were left feeling invisible. I left the class embarrassed, disappointed, and honestly regretting that I took it. It was a horrible experience. Lifetime should choose instructors who lead with encouragement and professionalism -- not arrogance or favoritism.

However since it is closer to the city, it's small and has limited amenities. They offer a variety of classes, but their gym space is very crowded. I found their spin and yoga classes comparable to boutique club classes. Their other cardio/lifting classes are better suited for beginners. Their staff is very friendly and they have some tables to work. The only thing outside the small space is that it gets VERY crowded. Which means you're waiting on equipment, the bathrooms get dirty quickly and hard to find locker space. They only have a tiny sauna in the change room which is always full during prime hours. I would not pay a hefty membership fee for just this location.
