I called Rick to look at a garage door opener that would not open. He identified the problem as a faulty spring. He came to replace it a few days later and that did not resolve the issue. He recommended I get a new opener, which I did from Home Depot. He installed it for free. I'd recommend him to others looking for reputable garage door service. read more

Never showed up - I called on 1/17/18 at 5:00pm; he said he'd be here tomorrow between 11:30-12:00pm which is today 1/18/18. When he didn't show up or call by 1:00. I called him and and he told me he was finishing up a job and he would be here as soon as he was done. Still after he did not show up. I then sent a text to him at which he did not respond. I call back at 5:28pm, phone went to voicemail. I left a voice message saying that he could've at least called or text to inform me that he was not going to make it. He repaired the garage in November 2017, but it has been hanging up while coming down, now it's off the tracks & one side of the rails are bent. I will not suggest to anyone to use this company. Took off work and been waiting around all day for them to be a no show and no call. I understand that jobs can run late, but he never bothered to call or text to let me know he was delayed or would not be able to make it. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL! read more

STAY AWAY!!!!!! The garage door came off the track so wife called several repair shops but all were busy and couldn't come that same day except for Central Tx Garage Door Service. They said they will be there at 11 AM that they had two other repairs to do. A couple showed up in time and supposedly made the repairs took our $175 and left. Two days later the door was broke again. We made several attempts on different days to reach then by phone but never answered. We left messages to call back but they never did. Had to get another repair shop to fix the garage doors. We contacted our attorney and will take legal action. read more

Never showed up - I called Rick about 10:30 AM; he said he'd be there in two hours. When he hadn't showed up or called by 2:00, I called him and left a voice mail saying if he wasn't there by 2:30, I was calling someone else. I sent a text message saying same. At 2:30 I gave up and called ACS. Ten minutes later we get a text from Rick saying he couldn't be there until 4:00; I said no thanks. Happily, ACS showed up as promised and saved the day! I understand that jobs can run late, but he never bothered to call or text us to let us know he was very delayed. He didn't respond to my inquiry until forty minutes later. read more

Showed up 4 hours after scheduled time, "fixed" the garage door and said "don't use it too much". Ok, so you'll be back in 5 days? The next day it was off track again. I called back - no offer to repay me the money, no offer to make it right. My garage door opener needed to be replaced. Rick suggested I buy one at Lowes because it'd be cheaper than letting him bring one. He installed it for $100 and saved me about $150. I called on Tuesday and he installed it on Wednesday. Nice guy and completed the job in around an hour!! Highly recommend Rick!! read more

I contracted with this guy because I though as a veteran and older guy, he would be trustworthy and reliable. I guess his displaying himself as a veteran helps in getting customers and then not living up to his claim. I should have trusted my intuition when he was late getting to the estimate meeting, He was due at 9:00AM and I had to call him. He then was due at 1:00pm only to show up at my door at 11:00 AM. He immediately advised me that he would require a $600 deposit on a $1500 job. He then started calling and pressuring me to pay the $600 because he needed to order the materials so he could start the work on Friday. Friday came and then he said Saturday and Sunday. He left all his junk in my garage including plastic water bottles. I paid him and he left. After he left I noticed gaps in the door, door went up and down without any initiation. I sent pics of the gap. He was suppose to show up on 7/18 at 9:00AM--no show. I called and texted and finally he said he would be there in the afternoon--no show. I called and texted and no answer. I intend to sue this veteran in Small Claims Court. read more

I called CTGDS early Saturday after our garage door coil broke the previous night. I called other places, but most were closed or wouldn't come out on Saturday without an extra charge. He came out that afternoon and fixed the garage door for us without charging extra. I was satisfied with the service and would recommend him to others. read more

DONT HIRE THIS GUY!!! He forgot he had an appointment with us then gets there late and can't fix it because he needed to order parts which is fine. He was out in his car on the phone and i had to leave... i watched on our cameras and that fool went into our backyard onto our deck to our bar and rummaged through our fridge!!! Who does that?!!! I am extremely pleased with the service that I received and Rick's professionalism. My garage door had a broken spring and Rick replaced the spring and lubed the rollers and hinges for a reasonable price. The day before, a competitor told me that I needed a completely new garage door before the spring could be repaired because of a small hole in the door and one slightly bent panel. I felt certain this was because I was a woman whom they thought was too stupid to call their bluff. I think called Rick and he was at my house the next morning and fixed my broken spring. So I called these people hoping that they would be able to install my garage door opener. Rick told me over the phone that it would be about $100 to install it. So first off, they were late! I called and text with no reply if they were coming or not. So after about an hour, they decided to show up. He looked over what was involved with the installation. He told me that he would have to run wires because there were no wires pre-wired. He was unable to do it that day because he didn't have his multimeter, WTF. You're a installer but you don't have the right tools to do the work. I looked over the installation guide and there are literally two wires each for the sensors and two wires for the wall mounted garage opener button. So he told me that he would be able to come back tomorrow around 2pm I agreed. Tomorrow came, he never showed up. I called and text again with no response. I get a call later that day and they said they were in Temple, I assume doing a job. They said that they were going to try and show up later that evening, if not than it would be the next morning. So they never showed up that evening nor the next morning. I was beginning to lose hope on Ricky and starting to think, are these the type of people who represents central Texas?? So I've been making numerous calls and texts to see if they were still going to do the install, again with no luck. So my last attempt was yesterday. I called and text again with no response. Later I received a call, it was Rick! So I asked him if he was still going to do the install. He told me that he would be at my place 10am the next day. Guess what, he never showed up! He never even bothered to call. Rick is very unprofessional, poor time management and customer service skills! According to their answering machine, "your call is very important to us", I guess my call really wasn't that important to them. After my horrible experience with Ricky, I would recommend anyone to him. I would rather give my business to someone who's a lot more professional and one who really wants to work.
