I have used Killeen Overhead Doors on 3 different occasions, once when my garage door went off the rails, another time for a broken spring, and lastly to install a new garage door opener with keypad. They were excellent all 3 times! Price was reasonable and work was done quickly. The first 2 times I called, they came the same day within a couple of hours. Then we scheduled the garage door opener install for another time and they came back as promised. I would highly recommend this business! Once they came they measured everything and said that they would have to get back with me in order to get the estimate. It's been a few days and still nothing. I called them for a service to repair my garage door. For that call they had a next dayvresponse. However, the tech did a substandard job and I had to call for a repair to the repair. It was scheduled 1 1/2 weeks. Time from 8-12 am. A girl with nice nails shows up at 11:50, spends 5 minutes looking at the issues, then leaves with no repairs. Tlod me that would try to get back out that afternoon. So I wait until 4pm to call and they tell me someone will be out sometime the next day. So, getting pissed, I ask if they really expect me to miss two days work waiting on them. The lady told me they call with a 15 minute notice. As if, we all work in a place that close let alone being able to get off work that fast. They are again, one of many central Texas businesses with low work ethics and no quality to their services at the price they charge. A hard no on quality, price and service. read more

I was going to delete my 1 star comment but I am more unhappy then previously. These panels are worse than the previous 2 installs. On the right side I can literally see outside. Didn't check the left side because I am so depressed about this, plus they literally jerry rigged the panels by putting foam insulation in between the panels horizontally because there were gaps in between them. On a good note they changed out the panels, on a bad note I am still unhappy with this new garage door. Maybe it need new tracks, I don't know, but they should know. Went there to get a replacement part( 0900). I was told that they had the part and would pull it by noon. At 1330 I called and was told they still had not pulled it. At 1430 I called again and wirh an attitude was told they don't have the part needed and who ever told me that partbwas there was wrong. Needless to say I will never use them again for parts, repair or replacement. I suggest you use the other garage door place over by Ellison High (C&G garage door). This company is terrible . I ordered a garage door with a lock and key . The appointment took 15 days , finally on installment day I was told the installer would be there between 12 and 5 pm . I arrived at 12 and he had already installed the door with no lock or handles .The technician told me he had to hunt down a tool to tighten the springs on the door and he had no idea about the locking door I originally ordered . The garage was sitting on a 5 gallon bucket because he had to chase down tensioning tool to complete the installation . Furthermore the garage was installed with a dent in the door . I spent the next three days trying to get this company to send out another technician to install the lock assembly . I was told the technicians were all on other jobs and they would try to fit me in . I asked to speak with the owner or the manager but the ladies in front office refused to give me any help . Meanwhile my garage door is left unlocked and unable to be locked with thousands of dollars of items unsecure waiting to be used on my home remodel . There is no quality control or customer service at all . Plus they just helped themselves too my old door and frame without asking . I wanted them for scrap . Absolutely the best, unfortunately, another company called "Overhead Garage Door" has pulled customers from the original company "Killeen Overhead Doors." Killeen is the best the other company is a robber! We were duped and "Overhead Garage Door" charged over $300 and garage door was not fixed. Their handyman charged another $250 and still not working right. My husband is 89 and frankly, they took advantage. He thought he was calling Killeen Overhead Doors who we have used for 30 years. We just got the door fixed by KILLEEN Overhead Doors, replacing springs and pulleys and it was finally fixed for $170. Only call Killeen Overhead Doors. Think some of the KOD reviews were for Overhead Garage Doors by mistake like we made. Just BEWARE. read more

If I could give anything lower than a 1 star I would. This place is absolutely horrendous. They don't do the work they say they will, they were called out to replace 1 spring. They replaced 2 and left the opener non working. Never called me to talk about it, nothing. Never gave me options on how to fix it- even though I asked multiple times... just kept sending me invoices....for a non working door......in which I kept asking how can we get it to work, they said they would look into it and call me back. Never did... When I finally called in for the 4th or 5th time to get answers they were SO RUDE to me. I was hung up on by the owners wife (didn't catch her name). I was also hung up on by the front office lady Lori. I guess my tone I was using was bad they said, they both were listening to the call and said I was being condescending not that I was saying anything mean/rude (which I wasn't). I hardly think that would be a reason to hang up on someone....especially someone who was calling in to resolve the situation.....I was trying to explain the situation, which has been going on since February so I guess it was a bit of a story, which they seem to not care about. The conversation ended with Lori calling me the C word (I'll let you figure out what that is).... I mean wow! I have dealt with some crazy people before but this honestly had me at a loss for words. I am not one who thinks the customer is always right and the workers have to put up with anything a customer does ( I work in customer service too) but HOLY MOLY this was another level! These ladies were out of control with how they were speaking with me. I am not sure if they were having a REALLY bad day or other personal issues but dang leave that at home ladies! Treat people how you would like to be treated...even if you didn't like my tone, I do not deserve to be spoken to like that. I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be condescending... I am at work, so taking softly to not get in trouble for being on my cell phone. Maybe the whispering or speaking softly was bad? I don't know but jeeze! I would highly recommend Killeen Overhead Doors for any and all garage door repairs. My hose was recently hit by a car that damaged my garage door, leaving it unable to operate and trapping one of my vehicles inside. I went by the office to set up an appointment. Shortly after, I was contacted by Brett, who showed up with his faithful sidekick Butter. Brett was courteous and professional. He completed the task quickly which allowed me to get my car out of the garage. I was impressed by his skill and ingenuity. I will be contacting KOD as soon as I get the needed repairs completed on the wall so that they can come back and complete the repairs. I hope that I get the same two when I call back. Over head door company has terrible business practices when you pay the company on the day they business is completed and they get you payment info and with out your knowledge since they did not process the payment because they shred the bank card information is unprofessional on their part. If you could not process the day of the install then that should have been discussed. Moving to a new place and everyone saying that this is the place to get your garage door installed then having a great install but terrible accounting practices is not good. There has to be a better way to conduct business. If you were not able to process the payment that day then a call should have been made to you customer. We were under the impression it was processed the day of install. Now it puts us in a bind for trusting the payment was processed the day of install. So to add insult to injury I just record not an apology for throwing away our credit card info but saying we need to do better accounting. That is unfortunate that you cannot own up to making a simple mistake instead of being defensive. I heard so many good things about your company but this is a bad experience. Garage openers installed by the company through a change order with my builder. Several weeks after moving I discovered that the openers were not compatible with the MyQ system so I could not sync them for use with a smartphone. Stop by the office for assistance after calling Liftmaster technical support. All the office personnel were very nice and promised to get me an answer. Got a phone call a couple days later and they told me they would be out to replace the openers with ones that were compatible. Appointment was scheduled for two days later between 8am-12pm. The service guy was there promptly at 8:15am. Wish the cable folks were that fast! Service guy told me to call if I have any issues or needed assistance with programming. I am pleased with these folks. I called them since the house I bought had a sticker on the inside of the door. The torsion spring was busted and the door was sitting at an angle. Guy came out, replaced both springs, and was done in under an hour!!! It was an affordable repair price and the springs are under a 3 year warranty. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with! I was yelled at on the phone by both the customer service representative (if you can call her that) and the manager. The manager actually told me regarding my complaint that it was "Too F***ING BAD!" and then hung up on me. This is no way to treat your customers. Not only that, but part of the issue I was having was that it felt like they were trying to nickel and dime me. I wanted someone to come and check out an issue that arose on the same day as a repair was made. They refused, stating that it was past the 30 day service warranty for the repair and that I should have called sooner. When I tried to explain the very valid reason for not having called sooner, I was yelled at, yelled over, cussed at and hung up on. Too bad I have to give any stars..zero is more appropriate. I am a home owner of property in Killeen but due to military we are stationed in Virginia at this time. We had our garage door system replaced by this company a while back. (Maybe 2-3 years) The paperwork was given to the tenant at the house, who no longer lives there. The spring has broken now (under warranty for 3 years). I call the office and the female who answered said they had updated their system and everything is computerized so they do not have anything prior to 1 year. I asked how that affects our warranty if they have no records and cannot even tell me when they did the work. Her response was..."that's why it's your responsibility to keep your paperwork" really? I never had any paperwork. She was not helpful at all, rude and I said well I guess I'll have to figure something else out and she said ok with no care or concern of keeping a customer. I am looking for another company to do the work and even if it's under warranty with this company, I have no intention of using them again. When the work was done, we had no issues and it's unfortunate for this company that this female is the first contact we have because she's definitely not about customer service. read more
