This is the worst hospital in the area. If you have time, go to Austin or New Braunfels…read more First off they dismiss medical emergencies. They don't send patients that are in need of ICU to the ICU until the last minute. And don't get me started on the palliative care doctor. She doesn't listen to your decision and continues to push her opinion, regardless if you're educated yourself. Overall they need to do so much better. I wouldn't go to this hospital.

The emergency room staff were top notch, but unfortunately there was one nurse from the 4th floor named Patricia who stuck her nose in my business and called the police when I said "Fuck". They held food and liquids from me due to a G.I. scope procedure. The problem was they never came to get me the first day and I had to argue with the Charge nurse for ice water. The 2nd day the charge nurse told me I was on the schedule for 10:30 am, nut they would most likely get me at 9:30 for labs. At 11 am I started getting angry due to being hungry and dry mouthed. This is when Patricia stuck her skank nose in my business when I asked how long does it take to get a glass of fucking ice water? Telling me I couldn't have any until talking to the doctor. I asked how long that was going to take and in a pissy response told me give him two minutes he's on another floor! Then she went to send the police to my room. Great way to provide care to cancer patients who already have trouble eating. I've lost 45 pounds in a month so far and can't be denied food when I need to eat. The doctor never showed up and I was told by the G.I. nurse that scopes aren't scheduled until after 3 pm. They lied to my face so I had no choice but to check myself out of the hospital and seek treatment at a better hospital called Baylor Scott and White where they actually care. Top nurses at Seton 4th floor were Grace, Aurora, Gilbert, Lori (mama bear) and Raynel. Patricia is useless and has absolutely no bedside manner. Don't stick your nose in someone else's business if you don't want to get bit!!!

The customer service & bedside manner was next level, the kind you rarely find these days and definitely won't find at Ascension Seaton (AS). We had a devastating emergency yesterday, and went to Kyle ER after a horrible experience at AS. The receptionist, nurse, doctor, and specialists they brought in were amazing to work with, and helped me to feel comfortable in such a scary situation. I am beyond grateful for the help of Kyle ER yesterday and highly recommend them.

They don't balance bill after your insurance pays them (plus whatever your portion is, under insurance). I did their detox program. While I didn't like not being able to interact with anybody other than staff (I mean, it's a hospital setting, so...), they have Roku Tvs with Netflix in the rooms, and you can sign into any of your own services. Jason and Tina in particular are amazing, but I had no negative experiences with anyone working there. I will say, if you're there long enough for a meal, it's going to be a frozen dinner that they throw in a microwave. The upside is you have an exact calorie and carb count, if that matters (I'm on insulin, I have to dose based on carb intake - they let me self administer since I'm on an insulin pump). At one point they apparently would order from restaurants, but that probably cut into the CEOs hush fund too much (joking) Thr care is great. The food is terrible (I mean... It's a frozen dinner). The bill will max out your deductible (and likely your out of pocket even on a HDHP). But they truly do care, and they've stayed in touch to see how I'm doing. Tina, Jason, if either of you see this, thank you.

I had a very disappointing experience at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center's Emergency Room. My…read moredaughter was crying in severe pain from what appeared to be a migraine or severe headache, and before deciding whether to check her in, I simply wanted to ask if the hospital had the appropriate equipment and specialists to treat her condition. If not, I was prepared to take her elsewhere. Unfortunately, the receptionist, Jessica, was on her phone when I approached. When I asked my questions, she was rude, dismissive, and spoke in a condescending tone. Rather than showing empathy or helping us understand our options, she responded, "This is an emergency room hospital," in a way that made it clear she didn't want to be bothered. As a parent with a child in tears and obvious pain, compassion and professionalism matter. Instead, I left feeling like my daughter would not receive the care or attention she needed. Because of that interaction alone, I made the decision to drive 40 minutes from Kyle to Dell Children's Medical Center in Austin. The difference in care was night and day. From the moment we arrived at Dell Children's, the staff was compassionate, attentive, and made us feel like my daughter's well-being truly mattered. I understand working in an emergency department is stressful, but there is never an excuse for treating worried parents and children with such a lack of empathy. First impressions matter, especially in healthcare. I sincerely hope Baylor Scott & White addresses this, because no family should feel discouraged from seeking care due to the attitude of the person greeting them.

The receptionists are a bit slow to process things sometimes and it can come off as cold. But the nurses and doctors really do go above and beyond here to treat you. I was given IV fluids quickly for nausea and dehydration. While on my second visit they didn't seem to find anything concerning i wish they would have given some pills to take home vs waiting for the pharmacy to open at 8am to get them. Otherwise all good and recommend if you need quick treatment.

The ONLY bad thing I have to say is she took a trip when my baby was due and couldn't deliver him. How dare her go on vacation!! KIDDING!! I was a little nervous but I'd been thru this with my first and it was no biggie so I didn't worry toooo much. Ended up scheduling induction (2 days late) and baby decided he was coming the next day before scheduled haha! Still had a great Dr deliver me and I can't remember his name right now! After doing some online research, I chose to go to Dr. Goss and I am SO glad that I did! Her warmth, empathy, knowledge and confidence never wavered throughout my pregnancy. At 37 weeks, I developed gestational hypertension and had to be induced. Two times during labor, my blood pressure sky rocketed and my baby's heart beat plummeted. Both times, Dr. Goss and the staff at Seton Hospital in Kyle sprang into calm and extremely competent action. A surgeon was called in to do an emergency c-section both times and, thankfully, both times the surgeon was sent off empty handed. I simply can not recommend any ob/gyn more than Dr. Goss. She has earned my loyalty as well as my sincerely heartfelt gratitude.
