First Visit: I had been dealing with a respiratory tract infection for almost 30 days and had already been treated by another community care center. Since I had a trip planned, I wanted to confirm whether I was still contagious. After completing my paperwork, I was called in quickly. The doctor reviewed my symptoms--fever that came and went, a bad cough, and throat discomfort. She checked my vitals, body temperature, and BP, which were all normal at that moment. Since I had already completed a round of antibiotics, she advised me to let my body fight the infection, reassuring me that I was no longer contagious. That was a relief, and I left Ally without being charged. Second Visit: After returning from my trip to California, I came back to Ally with a 103°F fever, severe body aches, extreme fatigue, and a baddd cough. This time, they ran every available test for infections and viruses, which confirmed that I had Influenza A, Influenza B, and COVID-19 and Respiratory Tract Infection. Unfortunately, since I had been sick for over a week, the doctor explained that antiviral medication wouldn't be effective. But they saw how severe my cough was, they prescribed an inhaler and cough medication to help manage my symptoms. I was charged $220 but that was in my best interest there are several other options which you can decide accordingly. What I appreciate most about Ally is that they are upfront about costs. Unlike other ERs that seem to prioritize billing over patient care, they inform you of pricing in advance, giving you the option to accept or decline services based on what's in your best interest. I honestly trust them more than my own physician at this point. I once took a friend to another ER where she tested positive for the flu. All they did was checked her vitals and BP before prescribing medication. Later she received a bill for $1,000. I was very ill at the time, so I do not have any pictures of Ally. We were taken to a room within 5 minutes and greeted by two nurses who immediately began consultation and setting up the IV. I love how quick the discharge process was -- they make it so simple for you. Shoutout to Colin and Sherry, they are the best nurses we have come across and that says a lot given we are in an ER every few months. They are very great at making you feel heard and overall just amazingly nice people. The best of the best. Dr. Wright was very knowledgeable and just as respectful/nice as the nurses. Dr. Wright spent the time with us that a lot of medical providers fail to do. He explained options, possible effects, and helped us with decision making. He never made us feel like he was in a rush. He listened and advised. Thank you for that. Overall, we were taken very good care of at Vik Complete Care and will certainly choose this location in the future. I thought I had a flu, and was relieved that Premier ER would see me for something like that (I thought the ER would be for broken leg or heart attacks, not a darned flu!!) I got attention right away, no wait. Turned out, I had an allergy symptoms that look a lot like the flu. The doctor was able to recognize it, tested for flu just to be sure, and gave me meds on the spot with a followup prescription. I felt amazingly better in about an hour. My Blue Cross insurance PPO covered the cost. I am very happy to have found this place in my new hometown.

Before going, I checked my Humana insurance, which listed this facility as a provider, so I arrived expecting to use my coverage. Once I arrived, I was told they do not accept insurance, which was very confusing and concerning given how they were listed under my plan. I was then informed that costs would start at around $800 or more, and according to the receptionist, they do not perform X-rays. Despite my insurance copay being $45, I was insisted upon to pay $800 upfront before any examination, without being seen by a doctor or receiving any medical evaluation. Due to the excessive cost, I declined treatment and left. The receptionist was extremely rude and dismissive throughout the interaction, which only made the situation worse. Being pressured for a large upfront payment before any care was provided raised serious concerns. Overall, between the lack of transparency regarding insurance, exorbitant pricing, and unprofessional behavior, I chose not to proceed with treatment and will not be returning. This experience left me very uncomfortable and concerned about how patients are treated here.

I left the OB completely freaked out (the on call doc when I went was absolutely awful) & not to mention, with no diagnosis or meds or anything at all. As someone who suffers from anxiety, I had a full blown anxiety attack for the next 24 hours. The following day I couldn't take it and came down the road to viks. Due to the intimate nature of my issue, I requested a female doctor but they told me they only had male; so I just took what I could get, not a huge deal. Front desk was fairly nice, filled out the papers, and they took me back fairly quickly. My doctor was Dr. Mcalasdair (apologies if i spelled that wrong). While I did originally want an ultra sound, he attempted talking me out of it. We went back and forth for a little bit but ultimately he said he was pretty confident he knew what was causing this, and while he didnt think an ultrasound was needed, he was willing to call their ultrasound person to come down and do it if I was adamant. I eventually caved and agreed to not do the ultrasound. Although he did make a little dig during our convo which I didn't appreciate (he said something along the lines of "I've been doing this for 30 years so I think I know what I'm doing). Please don't be condescending. Regardless of how long you've been in medicine, people are still allowed to advocate for themselves & their desires for their treatment. Anyway - aside from that, he was attentive and reassuring. However I've got to give it to the nurse - she really soothed me and my anxieties. She was such a sweetheart. She was maybe a middle aged lady with a British accent. She was so attentive, answered all my questions, checked on me, and when she could tell how nervous I was, she even brought me a little mini teddy bear with a viks shirt on to hold onto. No matter how old you are, little gestures like that really mean something, especially when you're scared. In the end, what I got was an IV in the arm with antibiotics. I believe it took like 45 min to fully drain. While I just sat there and waited, my nurse even brought me a heated blanket to make sure I was warm and comfortable. She was the best. They wrote me a prescription for an oral antibiotic but we were unsure if we were gonna make it on time before the pharmacy closed. On the off chance we didn't, they gave me my first pill ther so I wouldn't have to worry about missing a dose that night (in case we weren't able to get it until the next day). Thankfully we did make it to the pharmacy before they closed though. But that was really thoughtful. In the end, we ended up paying the ER price upon leaving. I haven't received any other bill in the mail so I can't speak on that experience yet... Also - the doctor called the next day to check up on me but I was unable to answer so he left a message. I called back the following day, but he wasn't busy with a patient so a message was taken. No call back. Called again the next day, he wasn't at the lakeway location, he was at another location. So I called the other viks location I was told he was at and they took a message since he was busy with a patient and told me he would call me back. He never did. I called again a day or two later back to the lakeway location and they gave me the same story and said they'd take a message but I told them I had already tried that multiple times and got no call back and told them I just wanted to speak to anyone on staff nurse or otherwise for them to answer my questions. So they put me on hold and I spoke to another doc I'm assuming, but not the one I saw, not dr macalasdair. This doc was pretty vague and dismissive with his answers. Basically it was like a couple word answers or "I can't answer that unless you come back in & we look at you again"...... mkay. He was unhelpful. Between the snarky response when I was advocating for myself in the room & the lack of call back and unhelpful response I got when I finally demanded to speak to anyone doctor on staff, that's why I took one star off. Otherwise, I had a solid experience. They fixed me and calmed my nerves at the same time. If anything goes awry with billing, I'll be sure to update my review. But for now, thanks for helping me!

5 Stars - The Best Urgent Care Experience I've Ever Had…read more I never thought I'd be writing a glowing Yelp review about an urgent care, but here we are! I managed to break my toe (don't ask... let's just say a garden hose won ‍), and since I was paying out of pocket, I called ahead to ask about pricing. Right away I was impressed. No one avoided my questions or acted annoyed about insurance or self-pay. They were kind, upfront, and gave me clear answers before I even walked through the door. When I arrived, Oscar greeted me and made checking in incredibly easy. He has one of those personalities that instantly puts you at ease. Friendly, calm, encouraging, and genuinely kind. Honestly, every school should have an Oscar. He's the type of person who could convince you that you could run a marathon with zero training just because he believes in you! Next, Sophia took my vitals, and she was just as wonderful. She was happy, bubbly, and chatting with my teenagers like we'd all known each other for years. Instead of sitting in an awkward exam room, we were laughing. Oscar then took my X-rays and, within minutes, was showing them to me. He even printed them onto a CD for me before I left and suggested I take photos of them as well. I've honestly never had that happen anywhere else. By the time we walked out, Casey already had my X-rays pulled up and immediately invited me over to look at them. He explained everything clearly, answered my questions without rushing, and even made me feel proud when he said, "You popped your toe back into place perfectly!" Not exactly an achievement I expected to celebrate, but I'll take it! Before I knew it, Oscar was right there with my walking boot, wrap, paperwork, and everything I needed to go home. The teamwork between everyone was incredible. I've been to plenty of medical offices where you feel like just another patient in line. This was the complete opposite. Everyone genuinely seemed happy to be there, and it showed. There was no long wait, no stressed-out employees, and no feeling like they were trying to rush me through. Just fast, efficient, compassionate care from people who clearly enjoy helping others. As a bonus, they even let my teenagers grab lollipops on the way out, which was the perfect ending to an already great experience. If I could leave more than five stars, I would. Thank you, Oscar, Sophia, and Casey, for turning a painful day into one of the best healthcare experiences I've ever had. I truly appreciate every one of you!
