These folks really took great care of me. I had some painful problems and they were so caring.

No one wants to have oral surgery. But if you have to have it, Austin Oral Surgery is the place to…read moredo it. Dr Zarroug is so patient and kind. He does not rush you or assume you already know all about having a tooth removed. He is both an M.D. and a dentist. Everyone one I interacted with was friendly, understanding and professional. Financial information was straightforward and reasonable. I would recommend Dr. Zarroug and Austin Oral Surgery to anybody.

Unfortunately, our experience at this location was extremely disappointing…read more My partner is terrified of dental work and made that very clear. During his first extraction with Dr. Najy K. Zarroug, he was in significant pain and repeatedly asked for more anesthetic. At one point, the doctor told him, "I should have had you put to sleep for this." The experience was frightening and traumatic. About two hours later, the bleeding became severe and we had to return to the office for additional anesthetic and stitches. We left determined not to return. Unfortunately, our dentist recommended Dr. Andrea Quaroni for the remaining extractions. He was much kinder and more reassuring, and we chose sedation. However, less than two hours after getting home, the bleeding became severe again, with gauze becoming saturated within minutes. We ended up calling an after-hours dentist, who offered to see him that night and mentioned having dealt with other after-hours issues involving this clinic. We understand bleeding can happen after extractions, but after specifically explaining what happened the first time, we expected much more attention to preventing a repeat situation. The office is also extremely aggressive about payment and prepayment, which makes the experience even more frustrating. On that same topic of them wanting to be paid so badly I ask who pays for the pain and suffering as blood runs literally from my partners mouth 12 hours later, are they gonna pay for my gas if I have to drive 30 minutes in the middle of the night... After two difficult experiences, we are done with this location. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere, especially for anyone who is anxious about dental work. Avoid the 38th Street location.

I had full on mandibular torus bone removal surgery done here and it went really well and they were really nice. This was a completely optional surgery that was not necessary and more a quality of life decision I made, and on the consultation visit I had all my questions answered so I felt comfortable knowing the risks vs benefits (which were primarily just for comfort). They now have in house anesthesia, which saves a lot of money since they used to use an outside provider. I don't remember any of the procedure after being given anesthesia and slowing passing out. I had a very excessive mandibular torus bone growth on the bottom of my mouth which plagued me for decades with pain and inconvenience (things getting stuck between the bones when eating). When I woke up, my tongue was able to sit perfectly flat on the bottom of my mouth for the first time in 20+ years. I was amazed that they were able to perform the surgery and only cut a small incision in my gums for the grinder tool that essentially excavated the bones on the bottom of my mouth that had grown out of control. Besides one little infection during the 30+ day healing, I've been awesome since. They even saw me for free when I was worried about it not healing super fast...which was probably my fault due to not eating soft things at first. I only knocked off 1 star because the doctor wouldnt pull a tooth I needed pulling at the same time, simply because it was not on the referral (and wouldn't call to try get it added and now I'm having to go back to do that separately). Also when the infection happened they wouldn't give me antibiotics so - MINUS ONE STAR for that week of pain!!

I was referred by my long established dentist to Dr. Horne in early January 2024. Today is March…read more26, 2024 and I still do not have an estimate on the proposed procedure. What I do have is a clear message that they are not interested in new patients. The administrative staff could not be more disrespectful. After multiple attempts to work with them on scheduling appointments by phone, I resorted to going by in person. The level of incompetence, ineptitude, rudeness, and palpable disdain towards me on basic Q&A, form completion, scheduling consultations, prep work, and follow up are shocking even in today's atmosphere of relaxed professional standards. I felt as though they expected I owed them a gravelling, sycophantism in appreciation for there mere presence. The fact that I am looking at having my jaw carved into factors into their picture none too much. I highly recommend them if you are into that kind of thing. *Don't worry, they are going to have to look that word up.

I've been seeing Dr. Adrian Bernal at East Austin Dental for about eight years, and I can't…read morerecommend him and his team enough. Most recently, I had an unexpected dental emergency involving a salivary gland infection. Dr. Bernal was able to get me in quickly, thoroughly evaluate the issue, and help relieve the pressure by draining the infected gland. What could have been a stressful experience was handled with professionalism, skill, and genuine care. Throughout the years, Dr. Bernal has always taken the time to explain things clearly, answer questions, and make me feel comfortable in the chair. His entire team is friendly, welcoming, and consistently provides excellent care. If you're looking for a dentist who is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly looks out for his patients, I highly recommend Dr. Bernal and the team at East Austin Dental.

Duyen is a wonderful hygienist, gentle and non-judgmental about my terrible flossing. I'm lucky to not have any major issues but my wife recently had to have an old crown replaced (put in by her family dentist back in CA) and she was very happy with their work. These guys are honest and old school (but tech-forward where it makes sense). No unnecessary upselling or over-treatment, which I appreciate.
