Such a cute and fun spot! I loved the pink and bright colors inside along with the disco ball decor -- it gave the restaurant such a fun vibe. We originally planned to sit on the heated patio, but it was still a little too chilly outside, so we ended up moving indoors instead. We started with the chips trio, and the guac and queso were definitely my favorites. I seriously couldn't stop eating them! The only downside was that quite a few of the chips in our basket were broken into really small pieces. For my meal, I ordered the 2 Tex Mex tacos. They were really tasty and super filling with great portion sizes, though they did seem a little heavy on the ground beef. Overall, still a great experience and a fun place to eat! read more

After shopping for shoes across the street, we ran into this wonderful little space! Stopped in with my daughter and we were able to get a cute booth at the window. The bar server greeted us and let us know how to order. We were both starving and wanted to get some tacos. I had the chicken tinga and the braised beef. I really loved the chicken tinga but the braised beef just did not have a lot of flavor. I also had a side of beans, they were definitely undercooked and again, not a ton of flavor with them. I also had the horchata, it is a small glass filled with ice, so not sure it is worth the price point or at least order two. The guacamole was amazing and I would definitely get that if you go! Doc took some staff out for happy hour. Some had been before and raved about the food. This was my first time. Centro is in a nice location that's near the Rosedale Mall but not all the traffic. I haven't been to this restaurant since it's been remodeled (previously Good Earth) and it's very trendy, IG worthy. Bright colors, murals on the inside/outside. It was seat yourself dining. And "scan the QR code to order". However, we did have the waiter take everyone's order because it was going to be ONE BIG BILL. Drinks came out, then we ordered food (apps for some, entrees for the rest). Great happy hour deals on drinks, and chips w/ dips. I ordered a Guava Margarita. It came in a lowball glass, garnished with a lime and spicy tajin rim. It was strong enough for me. Tattersall.... say no more! Tasted like a normal Marg, guava didn't stand out. Apps were shared. Chips were warm and salty. Guac was above average. Salsa and queso stood out more. Cool Ranch wings with ranch dip. Others loved them. I didn't taste much "Cool Ranch". Dirty Yuka fries. I got to try 1 but grabbed lots of its toppings and sauce. Don't know what a YUKA is but that was good. I would have had another if there were some left. Now my entree.. the Elote Carnitas Crunch wrap. Didn't come with any sides (rice, beans) or dipping sauce. Although I did steal some leftover Ranch from the wings. I cut it in half for easier eating and it looked beautiful. Due to the Carnitas, it was very drippy/messy/wet. I rolled up my sleeves, and made sure I had it over the plate vs my lap. It really didn't need a dipping sauce. It had some heat to it, and it built with each bite. But it was a good heat; tingly lips. Nothing on fire that made you pant or required milk. My coworker got the Cool Ranch Crunch wrap and hers was dry... and needed a dipping sauce for moisture. She used leftover queso and it was much better. Food came out in waves. Many staff helping out at the table with both bringing food out and clearing used dishes, empty glasses/ bottles. And no errors in the order. Great to see teamwork. To-go boxes were given to those in need and they looked like recycled paper/cardboard vs Styrofoam. And paper bags were given to the people with more than 1 to-go box. Tried a new restaurant in the Roseville area for lunch with the hubby. I'm not sure if at all times it's a "seat yourself" type of place but it was when we were there. We chose a high top table with lovely seats with backs (yay!). You do have to use the QR code to order drinks and/or food. The Centro team checks on you every now and then and there is a sign you can change at your table that alerts the team that you're in need of something. Lots of TVs around as well and even a little section of toys, etc for kids to temporarily play with. We ordered the chips + trio to share. The queso is the bomb! Guac was great too. I also ordered the lunch taco platter and the hubby ordered the Centro Crunch with a dip lunch order. The Carne Asada taco was delish. I was going to a movie at rosedale and a friend recommended this place for a small bite beforehand. Didnt make reservations, just walked in and got seated quickly and it was a friday night. Fun lighting, whole place had a party type of vibe. Server came over and gave us waters, but you actually do all the ordering from a qr code at the table. It was quick and easy to use. I've been to the Highland Park location plenty of times, but this was my first visit to Roseville and I was shocked at how busy it was! The Highland Park spot is fairly chill, so I wasn't exactly expecting it to be hopping, but the experience was still great. I love the QR code ordering and how you can keep ordering food if you want. I got chips & salsa plus one carnitas taco. The price for one taco was a bit steep at $5-$6, but the amount of meat on it made it totally worth it and it was really good! Happened to be driving by and decided to check them out. After explaining to the hubs that this was a Mexican (not Italian) restaurant, he was on board. The night we stopped in it was gorgeous outside, so we took advantage and sat on the patio. The patio is pretty big, but does face towards 36. I tried a cherry maragrita and the verde enchiladas. Both were great. Hubs had tacos with rice and beans and also seemed to enoy it. Our host was great. The service here is via QR code, but if you need assistance, there is a card you can turn over expressing that need. Chips and dips were great! The only thing was about 1/2 or the chips were broken/very small sizes. The guac and queso were soooo delish. The portion sizes I would say are great. With the taco combo, it states it comes with rice and beans (which it does), but it also comes with a lot of extra stuff on top (lettuce, pico, cheese, sour cream), which would have been nice to know, definitely a perk if you like to add that to your tacos, but I feel like it should be listed. Beautiful and spacious interior with a good sized patio. Sat outside with a group of eight and a few kids. We were able to get a table on a Saturday afternoon no problem! After hearing rave reviews for a while, we finally decided to give this place a try. The ordering process is pretty casual--you can either place your order at the counter when you walk in or scan a QR code at the table to order digitally. I went with the shrimp taco, Cool Ranch Doritos wings, and yucca fries. The shrimp in the taco was flavorful, but unfortunately, the shell was hard and already falling apart when it arrived, making it tough to enjoy. The wings were just okay--not much of that Cool Ranch Doritos flavor came through, and they were a bit overcooked for my taste. The standout for me was definitely the yucca fries--crispy, well-seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Service was minimal. We were given one small cup of water and never offered a refill. Since there aren't servers consistently checking in after the food is dropped off, it felt a bit lacking on the hospitality front. I know at the other location in NE you order at the counter and they drop the food off at your table. When we walked in we weren't sure what the format was as there was no one at the counter but someone came from the bar area to assist us. We were waited on at the table. Our waiter was nice. The staff generally seemed to stay busy. I ordered a rice bowl (no beans, added chicken tinga) & cool ranch wings for the table. The rice bowl was fine, full of rice. The chicken was missing seasoning all together so that was disappointing. The wings were crispy which I liked but had no salt or anything. I guess I assumed that cool ranch was like the cool ranch Doritos seasoning (like the red and blue seasoning dusting you can see on the chips) The chicken had zero flavor. Was also supposed to come with a side of guajillo aioli and as you can see in the photos that was also missing. Great happy hour deals, kind server, good vibes! Came here on a Monday at 4:30 and it wasn't busy at all. Took a second for someone to greet me but someone eventually came by. I asked if I could use my computer there and they said yes and that they have free wifi! It was honestly a great place to get some work done with good vibes. I ordered through a QR code but my server asked if I wanted him to come check on me, I said not to worry and that I would flag him down if I needed to. It does make you tip and pay before you place your order so keep that in mind! The service was great in my opinion so I didn't mind leaving a tip! Plus the happy hour deals are amazing so the meal was quite cheap. Some things that could have been better - more sauce on the dirty yuca fries, tacos on the happy hour menu, and the sauce for the oysters wasn't my favorite. But $2 oysters is a pretty amazing deal. Bad things: no wait staff-order from counter or QR code at table. Have to get your own water, utensils and to-go containers. Massive chunks in tacos so taking a small bite was impossible. Tasty but very greasy chips. I think the staff is friendly-sounded like they were having a fun party in the kitchen. If I knew there was no wait staff, I would not have tipped the usual amount. We catered in for a work event and could not have been more pleased with the food. As always, the service was second to none, and the food was fabulous. There is a huge sign when you enter to let you know to just find your own table, scan the qr code and order. When I ordered food I was very shocked to see a can of Diet Coke for $3.50. Wow. Talk about very high mark up. The prices do everything else was also pretty high. Chips and guacamole was $10. Hm. I guess it could be worst. I could just get a single taco for $6 or pay almost $20 for 3 and a side . I ended up with the 3 tacos and a side . You pay and tip right up front. I agree with a previous review that after they deliver food that is the last time you see the serving staff. So you probably don't need to tip so well. My tacos were pretty to look at but lacked flavor. All of them did . The guacamole was good though. The only other item I thought was decent were the wings. I have been to Centro in the past over NE and was not impressed. However this time made up for it! I had the Centro Crunch and it was super tasty. It appears they have amped the menu a little but. The service was not bad; the host was attentive and very helpful. The ambiance of this place makes it worthing hanging out especially on these upcoming warmer days this summer. I do not love the Centro experience as it is up to the customer to find their own seat and the customer orders everything using a QR code. I find this slightly irritating when adding to my order. Small issue with the ordering app, ended up headed to the front desk to order but not taking off the stars as the shop is so new. Bina's Burger, served at the new Centro location that just opened up in Roseville. Not a great picture in my opinion, but it absolutely was a great burger! So tasty! It's Oklahoma style with onions carmelized and cooked under the smashed burger patty. American cheese, pickles, and a burger sauce rounded out the flavors. The patties were excellently cooked to be nice and juicy. The lunch special comes with McDonalds style fries and cost $11 for a single patty or $14 for a double. After reading the reviews of this place, I was a bit hesitant. However, my husband and I decided to give it a try one Friday night. We were fortunate to find a parking spot right in front of the door as someone was leaving, because the small parking lot was completely full. We arrived around 7 PM without a reservation, and after about 15 minutes of waiting, we were greeted warmly by the ladies at the front. We chose to have a server instead of using the QR code ordering system, which I appreciate as an option. Our server was friendly and offered great recommendations. I ended up trying the cool ranch crunch, and it was unlike anything I've ever tasted--very delicious! One thing to note is that the portion size is substantial, making it perfect for sharing. I visited Centro on their grand opening for dinner with my grandparents and husband. My husband and I have been looking forward to their grand opening forever. We have visited their Minneapolis location and had a good time. FOOD & DRINKS: We used the QR code to order our food and drinks. We could have ordered from the person at the counter and receive a number. I wish we could have started a tab when ordering online. It was different from our experience in Minneapolis, because in Minneapolis, there was a staff member who took our order at our table and gave us the bill in the end. My family usually likes to put in their drinks and appetizers first, which we found out we needed to pay and tip beforehand. The drinks and chips & salsa arrived at our table quick. We ordered Tajin wings, which was promised to come out at 7:37 PM (in 15-minutes), but it never came out. A staff member offered us chips & salsa while we wait. We asked a staff member to go check on the wings when our entrees, on a separate order/transaction arrived at 8:13 PM. The Tajin wings were delicious all-around. I love the ranch sauce and the dry rub. The skin/breading was crispy. Definitely worth the wait. I tried the Birria Crunch, which the beef was delicious and flavorful. I didn't care much for the consomme that came with it. (Although, my husband loved it!) I also ordered the chocolate mole cupcake and it was huge; big enough to share. The cupcake was moist. It wasn't too sweet. Overall, I would order again. PARKING: I arrived at 7 PM and their parking lot was FULL! It was full that some customers have to park in the First Bank & Trust's lot. SERVICE: When we arrived, we were greeted by a staff member. According to my grandparents who arrived a few minutes prior said that no one seated them. They walked around and found a table that was just cleaned. On the day of their grand opening, they were behind on their food orders. Despite it was busy, staff members still check in and appear calm and professional. I gave this place 4 out of 5 stars due to the QR code ordering experience. It wasn't ideal to have a person go order the food at the counter when some family members were ordering different 3-4 tacos or had special preparation. I am a solid tipper but I am not going to tip 20% or more for someone to drop off my drink or food. Servers would make more money if they took the orders and did the work you expect when you go out. Another late to the game place. This is my first Centro experience. Great service from Tia. It was 2:45 and cheap bastard that I am told her we wanted to wait til 3 for the HH guacamole and chips. I loved the chips salted just right and not hard on your teeth. The guac was a solid mass and needed to be a little creamier. So we got our meals first. Basil raved about the burrito with added shrimp. I ordered a beef taco and they fry their own corn tortilla which makes it so delicious that I ordered another one that comes out piping hot. I only eat hard shell tacos, so I'm grateful that they have this as well as the softies. We both got hibiscus lemonade. She warned us it was sweet. I said that's right up my alley. This drink was made created with me in mind. Anyone who says anything is too sweet needs to be barred. As for the decor they gutted the place with a complete remodel. There are 4 roomy individual bathrooms up front. There are many high tops, but a good lay out in general. The patio looks great. We got our drinks pretty quickly and we both got the birria crunch. Everything came out pretty quickly as it wasn't busy and we really generally liked it but I'm gonna be honest, the consume was pretty bland and I was really grateful for the complimentary hot sauces at the table. Chicken Guajillo taco was edible. The only edible taco of my trio order. I think the salsa selection at most taco bars drastically changes the taco experience. The salsa at this restaurant was bland and flavorless. Salsa also do not come with your order which I found particularly odd at a taco bar. Went here because we had a bad experience at a place close by. Was highly disappointed here as well. We sat down and started looking at the menu. They brought us waters and told us we could order on our phones or from them and all we had to do was flip the sign. We decided to order from them since we wanted a margarita and had to show them our id anyways. We flipped the sign and waited 20 minutes as our "server" rushed by us to bring other tables water, etc. not looking at the sign he told us to use. This place was not busy at all, maybe 3 tables of people total. My daughter was freaking out because she is 2 and doesn't have a long attention span. I finally said excuse me as he was rushing by us again and completely got ignored. He didn't check in with us the whole 20 minutes we were waiting, rushed past us, and didn't look at the sign we were supposed to use. We all got up as my daughter was screaming and left. It was strange and felt unwelcoming not to be greeted at the door or at your table. No water is brought to you. I needed to ask for water when the food was delivered to me. I wanted to order a horchata without ice but couldn't make that request using the QR code ordering system. I skipped it. The food came fast. I had a beef Centro crunch. It was lukewarm and nothing special. Salsa is extra if you want that. My dining partner was happy with her chicken Centro crunch. I had a pumpkin cookie with frosting which was large and a little cake like. The frosting had crunchy, sugar crystals that were not blended well. It had a great flavor just not the correct smoothness of frosting. I'm not a fan of only getting service when food is quickly dropped off. A simple greeting goes a long which there wasn't.
