Unfortunate? Yes. After getting over the shock of a cover charge in West Texas and the initial fear of being hanged for certain political views, it was actually quite enjoyable. There's nothing like cheap beer/liquor, good conversations, pool tables (with no wait) and a dance floor that was made for terrible two-stepping to amazing live country. The good news is that I left practically unscathed. My bad for pre-judging, West Texas. My bad, indeed.

The first two were better than the third one (he flew back and forth in front of the crowd with some James Bond music playing in the background; it was kinda cheesy). The F-16 was probably the best performance of the day, although the C-17 demonstration was good, too. They had plenty of food, vendor, and beer tents set up; so I was never too far from a frosty cold beverage. First of all, we went at peak time on a Friday night when they clearly had holiday parties and lots of reservations going on. They sat us at the bar but the service was fast and always on top of things! They had plenty of time to answer questions and assist us! Everyone gets two free samples of wine (which are decent sizes btw). We tried Tres Locos, Pumpjack Chocolate, Driller's Moscato (our ultimate favorite) and Cabana Daze. They were all fantastic! For food, the husband ordered the pepperoni flatbread and I got the chicken cran-pecan sandwich with potato salad. Guys, the potato salad is a MUST! It will blow your mind!!! Our bill was well under $40 - he did a glass of Driller's Moscato but I just did the tasting - and it was an incredible night out with fantastic service and ambiance! I'm not a drinker and never a "bar" type person but this place is classy with incredible food. It doesn't even need the wine that makes it Homemade Wines to be special! And I thought I couldn't be anymore impressed after seeing the smaller version of Stonehenge. I went here to see top notch author Christopher Moore speak at their annual Shakespeare Festival. I was pleasantly surprised at this great little facility. It's really charming. The were selling merch for a buck an item. I have a t-shirt AND a mug! If you get a chance to see something there, you should. It's a really great place.
