We were fortunate to find Heath and Sarah Dorr through Zillow. Our initial contact was with Heath…read moreanswering a question we had. He followed-up multiple times, with no pressure, to earn our business when we were ready to buy. We were impressed by his tenacity. We discovered that Heath and his wonderful wife, Sarah, are both Realtors. They work as a great team so you get the benefit of two Realtors working for you. Sarah is wonderful at the deep dive process of researching homes to meet our VERY strict criteria. She is excellent at communication and, together, their availability to us was above and beyond. Sarah and Heath are willing to go to any lengths to help you find exactly what you are looking for. Our price point was very low for this competitive market so Sarah worked creatively outside the box to add possibilities to our prospects pool. Our criteria included specifics that most prospective home owners aren't concerned with (e.g unpermitted work on the home is one example of many) and Sarah and Heath were more than happy to learn how to research this for us. Neither of them ever tried to push us towards homes we couldn't afford. They focused on OUR goals and worked harder than they would have for a higher priced home and commission. Heath has an excellent eye for detail when touring a home. While he is careful not to offer unsolicited opinions, he is a valuable resource with excellent knowledge about home construction and updates and the quality of workmanship. He is a skilled negotiator. We discovered later that, when we fell in love with our prospective new home, Heath impressed the sellers'realtor by fighting for us to be their buyer. It was this tenacity and level of support that made the difference and helped the seller to choose us! Both are always working to improve their knowledge base with seminars and conferences. They are VERY involved with the community they serve. They volunteer their time in the area and they live where they work so they know the area well. They offer excellent referrals for services of all kinds and we loved their recommendations! We explored down payment assistance programs available and they invested time to learn as much as they could to help us navigate that process and connected us with others in the mortgage industry to offer their expertise. They are down to earth, supportive, helpful, and encouraging. They made themselves available to tour homes within hours of being listed due to the seller's market we faced. They spent countless hours with us as we nitpicked details. They never made us feel like we were the annoyances I know we were! When we bought our forever home, they were so enthusiastic and supportive. We feel like we found friends in a process that is incredibly stressful and an emotional roller coaster. We absolutely recommend them. No one will work harder for you and they will only get better from there!

If I could give a negative number of stars, I would. And it would be fitting. This experience cost…read moreme thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars. From negligence to lies to excuses to poor marketing, selling my house with 54 Realty was constant stress and aggravation. My agent, Debbie Jenkins, told me my house was worth more at the smaller square footage listed in the tax records than when she realized it was almost twice that size. You would think an agent with 14 years of experience could judge that kind of difference in size by looking at the home. She now claims she never said it was worth more. I had concerns about the house being left unlocked that I discussed with Debbie at the beginning. She assured me the Supra lockbox she would put on my house only allowed agents in and we could pinpoint who showed the home. I lost count of how many times it was left unlocked, and lights were left on. Debbie always had an excuse why nothing could be done. The locks were so bad one time that I had to go out and buy lock lubricant to get into the house. Instead of doing something for me, Debbie suggested I pay a locksmith. When I refused, she told me to put tape over the bad lock. My interests were never protected, but I did get to hear a lot about buyers' interests, so when an entire circuit in my garage stopped working, I never even bothered to mention it until I spoke with Joe LiCicero, the broker. I had to sign four extensions and 54 Realty (both Debbie and Joe LoCicero) was unable to negotiate anything in my favor. Debbie told me the buyer had issues with the IRS, which is very unprofessional. She misunderstood the contract, which resulted in a $500 credit for the buyer on the first extension. Debbie was also ignorant about the kick out clause in FL that allows sellers to accept back up offers. Joe LoCicero confirmed that ignorance when he became involved because I had enough of Debbie after suffering heat exhaustion and nearly dying trying to remove things from the property because Debbie did not protect my interests. She also poorly advised me to turn the utilities off. Joe made excuses for Debbie and refused to anything for me, stating that agents under him only pay a small office fee. 54 Realty must be a great place for agents to work if that is true. This is all in my opinion of course (54 Realty must consult with an attorney to understand simple English in a basic real estate contract). I'll let the highlights from text messages between Debbie and I along with evidence of the poor marketing on my google review speak for themselves. Please do yourself a favor and avoid 54 Realty. I honestly could have written a book about everything that happened during this cluster of a real estate transaction but tried to keep it short as a warning for anyone considering 54 Realty.

First let me say that real estate agents are fiduciaries and are to act in the best interest of…read moretheir clients and only follow the wishes of the client/principal. Will Bingham has my family's property listed at this time and has reduced the price without consent of the entire ownership group which is a big big no no as you could imagine and also does not communicate in a timely fashion if at all. We did make him put it back. He actually reduced the price without having everyone agree via a written agreement because of his lack of communication skills, he just assumed it was okay to do so and said so in an email and has created a stigma with a great piece of land that could end up costing us money. In addition, he has also ignored my attempts and the others to request information throughout and even blocked me and attempted to only communicate with the other owners because I finally had enough and let him have it. He will not assume responsibility for his actions. Even in the beginning he made a mistake in the original listing agreement and ignored communication concerning the mistake and when I was finally able to reach him just made excuses as to how he could not fix it and it would have to wait until his assistant could make the necessary changes when she was available. We are currently attempting to terminate the listing with him for due cause, which is, but not limited to poor and unprofessional performance, breach of fiduciary duty and not acting with reasonable skill and care. He is actually attempting to stronghold us to the agreement with conditional demands for termination that are not in the original agreement. He actually wants us to agree to pay him when the property sells after he terminates for a period of 180 days and thinks he is due payment for his egregious behavior. He has not acted with reasonable skill and care. We refuse to work with someone that has caused this much chaos and made so many mistakes and will look for another agent. We reserve the right to terminate anyone who cannot serve us properly as I hope that you will agree with. Be careful with this one as he lives in an alternate universe where he does not have to perform up to par and can do as he pleases and make all the mistakes he wants without any real consequences and will be very confused when you, the client, are not satisfied and want to move on, because it is not what you think of his performance or lack thereof, it is only his assessment that matters. Once he gets you locked into a contract, you will not be able to get rid of him, even for due cause.
