He said that's what he pumped. I got into my car my debit said my debit was used for fifty. I went back in the office and said you pumped 50 instead of fifteen. He showed me a receipt for fifteen and then the other man said call your card company. I did they said that the gas station has to release the extra funds but as of today did not. I'm waiting till the end of the day and if they aren't released I guess I have to file a dispute. Anyway kind of shady if you ask me please be careful

I've been taking my Saab cars for inspections and small maintenance issues to Bob Wark Liberty…read morerepair garage for over 20 years. I took my Saab 2006 9-5 wagon for State inspection in January 2026. The car is maintained by Saab master mechanics and its condition was last reviewed by a top mechanic in October 2025. I was told by Dominic at Bob Wark's that my car had failed inspection because of 3 broken rear suspension parts and two failed motor mounts. Dominic provided photos of these failures. I asked 3 times for estimates to repair these failures but even though the mechanic reviewing the car said it was a breeze to get parts because Saab had been owned by GM, Dominic would not provide estimates saying later that maybe I should go to a Saab mechanic to get the work done. I showed the photos to two separate Saab mechanics and they told me there was nothing wrong with any of the parts which caused the inspection failure. They said there were typical cracks in the rubber parts of the bushings/suspension and motor mounts which is very normal and absolutely nothing in the failed inspection list was problematic. In fact, in doing the inspection Bo Wark's mechanic missed a leaking coolant hose which was about to fail and would have caused a catastrophic failure of the coolant system which could have caused a massive engine failure. I feel like I have been ripped off by Bo Wark and had to pay twice for my State inspection. Once to Wark and once to another garage whose owner has extensive experience with Saabs, Volvos and other European vehicles. I will never go back to Bob Wark Liberty even for gas and would highly recommend that others stay away from this garage for the incompetence and dishonesty for how they dealt with me.

Well after the oil change no one was aware on how to reset my car so the light all month kept saying I need to change my oil after 2 weeks and they said I was good on oil but I keep getting notifications about it which is giving me anxiety. The second time I went it was to tighten the lug nugs or whatever they're called and that took over an hour because I honestly think they forgot I was outside waiting I'm assuming. My spouse brought her 2019 Jetta in for a state inspection The man behind the counter received a food delivery while taking her information and proceeded to loudly scold the delivery man because he forgot his drink. Overall very rude staff. Now for the main reason for the poor rating: We were then told the car did not pass the safety inspection because they needed to further inspect a "worn part". To inspect said part, they had to unscrew a few bolts and lower the frame. Would not have been unreasonable to expect to pay a bit more than the original estimate ~$80 for a state inspection) . They attempted to charge us over $1000 more. Through a feat of mental gymnastics the employee stated any Jetta 2019 and more recent would incur such a charge. Hard to believe they are attempting to charge all owners of newer model Jettas over $1000 to pass a state inspection. Clearly part of their business model to offer state inspections and then use the compulsory nature of the service to try to force extra charges on the customer. They still charged us for the inspections despite not passing it. Obviously, we took the car elsewhere and it had no issues passing. Save yourself the shake down and go elsewhere.

In 2021 my tire popped and I was only able to get the car within close range of their shop. Someone came over with me to take a look and they helped me get the spare changed until a new tire could be ordered. They did not need to stop their work to help me, especially when I was not even parked in their lot. it says a lot about them!! most recently, winter storms and ice caused major damage to my hybrid vehicle's battery and additionally, AAA caused extra damage when I called for a jump, and they handled it incorrectly. Fountain Street accepted a tow on a Friday during this time when they had 0 appointments available for 3 weeks. Anthony was able to get my battery replaced, and they kept my vehicle over the weekend so they could address the electrical issues that were not there before the battery was dead/AAA caused damage. I had my car back that Wednesday. I am a single female living close by in Manayunk for the last 10 years, and I am disappointed to have ever used any other shop. I will absolutely be switching to regular service with these guys. They are kind, laid back, and in my case, made me feel confident they could handle the issues rather than causing me more stress over the unknown. That is invaluable service to me and not easy to find!

Bringing my car somewhere for repairs I've felt uncomfortable and in over my head, wondering if I'm getting ripped off. A few days ago someone side swiped my drivers side mirror while it was parked on the street. I did some research on local mechanics and called Maggianos. They picked up immediately and said they'd be available that day to take a look. From the start I was given great, honest, friendly service that included price estimates and regular updates on my side mirror. Any questions I had were answered thoroughly, and within two days I had a brand new side mirror installed. I'm thrilled to have found a reliable mechanic in my neighborhood, and couldn't be happier with my experience.
