Please be careful when you use their gas pumps. I went on May 27th and put my debit card in the pump. It said go see cashier. As I was walking into the office the attendant grab my debit put it into the machine and apparently put in for 50 dollar. I was only going to pump fifteen . I said fifteen please. He said that's what he pumped. I got into my car my debit said my debit was used for fifty. I went back in the office and said you pumped 50 instead of fifteen. He showed me a receipt for fifteen and then the other man said call your card company. I did they said that the gas station has to release the extra funds but as of today did not. I'm waiting till the end of the day and if they aren't released I guess I have to file a dispute. Anyway kind of shady if you ask me please be careful read more

I've been taking my Saab cars for inspections and small maintenance issues to Bob Wark Liberty repair garage for over 20 years. I took my Saab 2006 9-5 wagon for State inspection in January 2026. The car is maintained by Saab master mechanics and its condition was last reviewed by a top mechanic in October 2025. I was told by Dominic at Bob Wark's that my car had failed inspection because of 3 broken rear suspension parts and two failed motor mounts. Dominic provided photos of these failures. I asked 3 times for estimates to repair these failures but even though the mechanic reviewing the car said it was a breeze to get parts because Saab had been owned by GM, Dominic would not provide estimates saying later that maybe I should go to a Saab mechanic to get the work done. I showed the photos to two separate Saab mechanics and they told me there was nothing wrong with any of the parts which caused the inspection failure. They said there were typical cracks in the rubber parts of the bushings/suspension and motor mounts which is very normal and absolutely nothing in the failed inspection list was problematic. In fact, in doing the inspection Bo Wark's mechanic missed a leaking coolant hose which was about to fail and would have caused a catastrophic failure of the coolant system which could have caused a massive engine failure. I feel like I have been ripped off by Bo Wark and had to pay twice for my State inspection. Once to Wark and once to another garage whose owner has extensive experience with Saabs, Volvos and other European vehicles. I will never go back to Bob Wark Liberty even for gas and would highly recommend that others stay away from this garage for the incompetence and dishonesty for how they dealt with me. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about Bob Wark's. Their service is fabulous. I go there for inspection and it is an easy and efficient process. Today I needed new windshield wipers. I called and they told me to come right over. Dominic took his time to make sure that both wipers worked properly (one was glitchy) and everything is always reasonably priced. This post is entirely based on my own empirically verifiable facts (e.g. receipts I'll gladly scan and send, as well as other mechanic's diagnostic findings equally available). I'm not violating YELP policies because all of the following statements are empirically demonstrable, not my stupid opinion. In one case, the garage said I needed a new Cabin Air Filter. I consented. Months later, a AAA mechanic came to my house to fix a battery problem. When AAA opened the hood and tested the batter, it was bad/useless, and I bought a new one from the AAA mechanic. As soon as the AAA mechanic opened the hoo, he noticed that after Warkes' mechanics replaced the Cabin Air Filter, they never reinstalled the battery and Air Filter Cover, just threw it aside or tossed it. Totally unprofessiona. Months later they diagnosed the "CHECK ENGINE" light as a faulty Air Intake part. They replaced it for something like $1,000 dollars. A month later, the "CHECK ENGINE" light came on again. I went to my regular mechanic, and he said Warks' repair actually blew a fuse and destroyed the AIR INTAKE part, which Warks installed using ZIP TIES! Don't ever go there, unless you want gas. They refused to take responsibility, and fool that I am, I accepted it. Still need a cover for the battery area. Stupid me, but don't go there. read more

I was making a few stops on Montgomery Avenue, but I needed some gas so I stopped off at Wark's Liberty Gas. I occasionally visit Wark's Liberty Gas when in need of gas or to get an inspection. Today, I stopped in abd rhe entire area was clean and the prices were very reasonable. They also had a container of water and a brush to clean your windshield. Their service here is also very good! Even better, they offer a Yelp discount! Unlike, other gas stations, Wark's does not have those TVs, which is a positive in my opinion. The entire gas station is filled with American flags and another flag to honor POWs. Altogether, this is a great community gas station! read more

I came in to have my alternator checked and to get an oil change. Checking the alternator took no more than 3 minutes; he mentioned that the battery connections should also be tightened. When I picked up the car, I saw that I was charged $29,99 + tax for tightening the battery. I questioned the charge, but he wouldn't budge, pointing out that he had checked the alternator for nothing, and that they had also retrieved a pair of pliers that had fallen onto the pan under the engine. That's $30 for no more than about 6-7 minutes of simple labor, the sort that most service stations would do as a simple courtesy to customers. So... I took my car into this shop last week for an oil change and to check and see why it was leaking transmission fluid. I get a call back saying that my shocks and struts need to be replaced, along with a tie-rod and an axle seal, which was causing the leak, and that I needed new front tires and an alignment. Ok. Fair enough on the seal and the tie rod. I did ask them about the transmission fluid leak after all. I'm even fine with them pointing out the other things. But they quote me a price without my even asking of $2700. What?? I then call the shop in Texas that fixed my transmission and the guy's floored by the price to repair the axle seal. Says it shouldn't be more than half that. So, I call around, and sure enough, that's almost double the highest price quoted (and all the shops I called were nearby, also on the Mainline). I tell them I want to hold off on the work and they present me with a bill for fifty-some dollars. Well, was the oil changed at least?? Nope. Odd, considering that's what I really came in for. So, not only was my day wasted but I didn't even get what I essentially came in for. Such a shame. It would have been nice to have a local mechanic nearby as I literally live two blocks away. I also will no longer be getting my gas there. Again, this has been my go-to station since I moved here bc of the convenience, and they were pleasant enough. However, after this experience, I'll not be giving them another dime. In fact, I'll go out of my way to tell people to avoid this place... every chance I get. I know I'm not the only one who's tired of greedy businesses who just care about making a quick bucks rather than focusing on trying to win over long-term customers. Anyway... long story short - AVOID this place at all costs! Of course, you can get your gas there. I'm sure you can't go wrong sticking to that. Just keep in mind that even by doing that, you're supporting hucksters and encouraging their foul business practices. ps, this is in no way a reflection on the mechanic who looked my car over. I have no complaints about the work I've had done at this service station. They took care of me when I had urgent work needed, and got me in right away. Dominic, in particular, was helpful and friendly. Prices seemed fairly reasonable for the area. But I don't plan on going back because apparently, when the weather is cold or rainy, they smoke inside the building. It took two weeks for the smell of cigarette smoke to die down in my car. That didn't happen the first couple times I was there, but the weather was milder those times and I'm guessing they smoke outside then. I have asthma, and the smoke in my car triggered it. I won't be risking that happening again. read more

Very unsatisfied with the honesty of the service we were given. After completing an otherwise normal safety and emissions and oil change in June- we were told our tires were running out of life and our brakes would need to be replaced by end of summer. So - we brought our car back in to replace the brakes 2 months later. They examined the car and determined they did not need to be replaced (and charged for this) and then came up with a new list of things to be replaced. We approved the cost for one filter and the brake check - only to pick up the car later that evening and find the bill significantly higher. The entire visit was pointless since the brakes didn't even need to be replaced. Since the work had been done - if I wanted my car back, I was forced to pay. I will absolutely not be returning for any service there in the future. Also - the tires were only two years old with only 10,000 miles on them - we were very ill advised. read more

I took my 1991 BMW 325 to Wark's for its first inspection after I purchased it, and then back again for a nail in the tire. Great work! But yesterday they went above and beyond. I was hearing a terrible noise in the engine and decided to take it over without an appointment. I pulled in and immediately Alanté noticed the sound and came out and greeted me and took charge with figuring out what the problem was. Dom joined him and together they collaborated to learn what was causing the clatter and knocking. I had envisioned having to go to the dealer or to a BMW specialty repair to diagnose and fix the problem. Ugh - that involved towing, a month's wait for an opening, and who knows how much money. But between Alanté and Dom's combined experience and expertise, and their innate curiosity about cars and their approach to problem solving, they were able to diagnose the problem and fix it right there in minutes. The problem was the oil cap didn't create the correct seal so the engine wasn't able to 'breathe.' And because it was an easy fix - I need a new oil cap - they didn't charge me for their time. I drove in with what seemed to me like a mountain of a problem, and thanks to them, I drove out worry free and with a purring engine. What a relief! Thanks guys! read more

I'm so glad I put my Honda in their hands. I brought my car to a dealership to get it ready for a cross-country trip. The dealership was going to charge me about $2,500 for repairs, including an air-conditioner compressor. A friend suggested I get an estimate from Bob Warks Liberty, which was a little out of the way for me but in the end, was worth it. They gave me an estimate of under $1,000 and said I didn't need a new compressor. The car made it from Pennsylvania to California without any problem this summer, when it was very hot, and the air-conditioner ran fine -- in fact, it was cold enough inside the car to need a sweatshirt. I'm grateful to Domenic and his crew for doing an excellent job -- all in one day -- and giving me a fair price. I highly recommend this shop. read more

This place deserves -10 stars and this is why... I brought my car in for an oil change a few weeks ago... a little over priced ($55) but all went well. Brought the car back last week for an emissions test and state inspection. Two hours after dropping it off they called with an arm's length of issues that needed repair before they could pass the car for inspection. I went over on my lunch break, the guy showed me an estimate for over $1,000.. front control arms replacement, brakes, rotors.. He puts my car back up on the lift and brings me in to see the control arms and how "messed up" they are. He chums it up talking about this job and title he thinks I have- I have no idea what he's talking about, assume he thinks I'm someone else and ignore him because I'm freaking out about the $1,000 I am about to have to shell out for a part of a car I know nothing about, so him showing me it means absolutely nothing to me. We start at over $1,000...then he says he can do it for $185 because we'll skip the brakes and rotors for now and we'll just replace the torn bushings but then he goes on about how I really should just get the entire control arm replaced ($650) since I'll be spending so much on labor anyway having just the bushings replaced. Now I'm feeling uneasy about this and my gut is telling me I'm being swindled. So I ask him to hand over the failed inspection paperwork and I'll think it all over and get back to him. He says ok and that he wont charge me for another inspection if I have the repairs done there. I go home and take the weekend to think about it and decide to bring the car to my family's mechanic which is an hour away. After 3 hours of my car being at the mechanic shop my family has always used, I get a call saying that they have no idea what Bob Wark's Liberty was talking about. He tells me that I have 1 bushing that is beginning to crack but that it could be years before it actually becomes torn and that their is absolutely NOTHING wrong with my control arms. So I tell him to go ahead with the inspection and emissions. The family mechanic shop calls me back at 5pm and tells me my car is all set, inspection stickers posted and that my brakes and rotors are starting to wear but that I have about a year or so left before they need replacing. All in all... EVERYTHING Bob Wark's Liberty failed my car's inspection for was a complete LIE and they charged me $84 for the same emissions and inspection that cost me $53 in bucks county. The long and the short- If you want to be over charged for everything, be lied to on the phone and to your face and be swindled for at least $1,000 of repairs your car doesn't need then head on over to Bob Wark's Liberty Thievery! I had my mothers car fixed there and they charged me 9.00 for two lug nuts and 12.00 to screw them on. My problem with that is that i did not need them as i put my own lug nuts on and when i looked at the wheels they did not install any diff lug nuts. Took my car to Warks Liberty because it wouldn't start. They diagnosed it and told me i needed a starter and gave me a price. When I went to pick it up the price was $100.00 cheaper then what they originally quoted. They explained that when they gave me a price it was late in the day and some of their main suppliers were closed. The next day they got the starter cheaper and past the savings on to me. They also gave me a ride home and picked me up. The only reason I did not give five stars is I just hate paying for auto repairs. I think I found my new auto repair facility. read more

I was in the process of swapping my turbo on my Subaru WRX when I stripped a bolt on my turbo! The shop accross the street from my house wouldnt even touch the car because it wasnt running, and the bolt was too difficult apparently. I was reffered to Bob Wark's and will always come back now! The staff was friendly and interested in my project and had it fixed with incredible speed. I dropped my car off at night and that next morning i got a call at 8:00am that the car was ready to be picked up. I was only charged 1 hour of labor for removing the turbo and cutting that stripped bolt. These guys are great! and I have no clue how there is a bad review for these guys. Five Stars! Really surprised to see some negative reviews here. I had a great experience today as I got a flat tire while in the city. On the way home I popped in and Travis greeted me and took me right to get the tire fixed. I showed him my tire iron as the handle had a huge gouge in it straight from the Chevy factory and he took it from me and wrapped it in electrical tape so I wouldn't cut my hand again! In and out in 20 minutes and they've earned my return business for sure. Thanks guys! read more

My 20-yo stepdaughter was taking a trip to Philly from Virginia and the car broke down on the way. We live in Virginia so the car has Virginia plates. We also only had AAA local towing so we had to have the car towed to a garage within in 5 miles of the breakdown. AAA recommended Bob Wark's Liberty. As one could imagine, this was not an ideal scenario and all I could think was that any garage will see this out-of-state car, realize the desperate situation we are in - that the car had to be fixed in order to get it back to Virginia - and see dollar signs. I could not physically be there to asses the car and we couldn't have it towed anywhere else because it would have been too expensive. To add one more layer, the car broke down late on a Saturday afternoon so the car could not be looked at until Monday. I spent many hours that weekend stressing out about what was going to happen when I called the garage Monday. None of those fears materialized as Bob Wark's Liberty were absolute car angels. That is the only fitting analogy that comes to mind. When I called from Virginia to ask about the car, they explained that the diagnostics returned two possible issues - a failed sensor (a repair cost of $~300) or the timing belt (a repair cost of ~$1000). They asked if I had ever changed the timing belt (the car is a 2004 and has 180K miles). When I said that I thought I did but wasn't 100% sure, they did not push replacing the timing belt any further and recommended fixing the sensor first. I authorized the replacement of the sensor. They then called me back and offered to check the condition of the timing belt at no extra cost (since I wasn't 100% sure) because they had realized that they had to access that part of the car to fix the sensor anyway. That efficiency saved me $100 in labor. I cannot express my gratitude enough to Bob Wark's Liberty. We were in a vulnerable position and they could have easily pushed the more expensive repair on us. In the end, they found the timing belt was ok and it was only the sensor that needed replacing. I want to particularly mention that I treated with absolute kindness and respect over the course of coordinating the repairs while I was in Virginia. They also took the time to explain how the timing belt works, why the timing belt is so important, and how the sensor that failed works. This is knowledge that I will have now for this car and future cars. Bob Wark's Liberty went above and beyond in terms of customer service - especially given that I am not from the area and will likely never have the opportunity to come back. To me, that is the mark of truly outstanding service and integrity. Thank you for helping our family! read more

But recently I took a child's toy there because I couldn't get a battery case open, and Jay fixed the problem cheerfully. Another time I needed help moving some furniture from my home into a storage area; I asked for help at Wark's and was able to hire two of the employees to help me out. First, the reason I came to Bob Wark's Liberty in the first place is because I noticed local school groups always having their car wash fundraisers here on certain weekends. I thought to myself, "anyone consistently working with the community must have good intentions at heart..." I was not disappointed! Yes, they might not be the cheapest, but I know they're definitely not the most expensive and I thought they were honest. They gave me a quote and the job came out less than expected. Who was I to complain. I usually have Travis Chambers work on my vehicles, but the supporting cast always appears friendly and helpful. I typically have an idea of what could be wrong before I bring my cars in and have never been up or cross sold on anything else. Before they start the work they typically clear things with me and if I want they are usually willing to walk me through what needs to be done. I definitely think its important to have some sort of idea of whats going on and you SHOULD ask questions if you don't understand. So far, I always tell my wife, this is our "go to" shop and I am hopeful it will remain that way. I will definitely update this if I'm not satisfied with anything, but will also make sure to bring it up with them first as I'm sure they would be helpful and accommodating. I don't normally give reviews, nonetheless 5-star reviews because I believe there is always room for improvement. However, Travis alone gives it that extra star. read more
