If I could give zero stars, I would. This review is solely for the Showroom. One star for the courteous person checking tickets at the door, I guess. I attended a Bret Hart event this past Saturday and was extremely disappointed in the venue. 1. Tickets showed tables of 2 when purchasing. When we arrived, we found we were crammed in to a table meant for two.. with another pair of people that we obviously didn't know. There was no notice of this on Ticketmaster, etc. We sat beside two very intoxicated men; it was extremely uncomfortable. 2. Because of this, it was challenging to see the stage. And walk around the venue because there were people everywhere. Every table was clearly doubled up in numbers. 3. Zero Covid considerations. 4. Fans were heckling and being extremely disruptive, security did nothing. 5. Servers didn't come to our table. 6. Chairs were rocks. The padding is so worn through that sitting for 3 hrs suckss. We were so disappointed. Really ruined what could have been a fun evening. read more

Thursday night prime rib special in Mingles Lounge $8.99 While we waited for our meal we enjoyed some fancy cocktails. My bestie had the Matta Latte drink and I sipped on a Kickin Kiwi rum drink that was so refreshing, we lingered watching the many TV screens that showed everything from hockey to baseball. The service was to infinity and beyond. I went to guest services to update my winners players card. The representative walked me threw the process of signing into the kiosk with my pin number as he explained the many advantages of the rewards program . Such a wonderful place. I didn't even gamble afterwards. The only sad thing was the clients were all seniors playing the slot machines. But I guess it was prime rib night. There seems to be more bands playing at Century Casino than another other in the city. They have a showroom to accommodate a hundreds of people in booths and tables and chairs. I have seen a number of bands play here, and the sound quality is pretty good. The last time I went, they changed the layout so there was no dance floor and it was occupied by round tables and chairs. Inside the showroom there are washrooms, a window to order food (nachos, burgers, wings, and pizza), and a bar. The drink prices are reasonable and a pop is only $1.75. You can sometimes get free tickets for shows if you are a regular at the casino and you have the players' card or you follow the casino on twitter or are a facebook fan. I have also won free tickets through radio stations. In the casino part, there are lots of slot machines but it can get crowded with not a lot of room to move in between. There's also Yuks Yuks which doesn't get very busy, and a restaurant that offers a buffet. I've only eaten here once off the menu and it was ok. They offer food specials for the month like cheap wings on Monday nights and decent size too. For a night out, it's fun to come to the casino. They also offer free underground parking so you don't have to worry about wearing a jacket in! I have volunteered here and I found the volunteer lounge big and roomy. read more

I never win at this casino, it lacks the atmosphere of a fun gaming establishment. You are not greeted by the security or staff when you walk in and the dealers aren't friendly or smile. So when you lose your money, it wasn't even fun doing it. The only time I go to this casino is for the concerts. The line up to get in goes fairly quickly but again the staff is not very friendly. The seating is comfortable but when you want to get good seats at the front, you can't see anything once people start dancing in front of you! I would not sit in the front ever again. The dance floor is small so there were people dancing beside our table. You can enter for a draw for $100.00 which is held in the casino 10 minutes after the concert ends. The only problem is you can't hear the name being called and they don't re-draw if the person isn't there. The alcoholic drinks comes in small plastic cups and you don't get your money's worth. We've eaten here very few times and it was just okay, nothing great. If you want a fun night out with friends, choose one of the other competitors. read more

I don't go to the casino very often, but I'll go every few years just for that thrill of the possibility of winning big. Century Casino is still a fairly new casino that took over the Greenhouse Bar (not that I miss that place). Century is fairly nice with lots of machines and tables, but it's not a huge place like some of the other casinos in the city. This casino is also brighter than most other dimmer casinos. I was totally excited to start plugging some coins into the machines, but then I learned that none of the machines, in any casino, take coins anymore. Yes, coins do turn your fingers black, and they are a big of a hassle to lug around, but coins made the experience so much more fun and exciting. I love hearing the clinging sounds of the coins hitting the bottom tray when I win, even if it's just 75 cents. Getting rid of the coins is definitely a way to get people to spend more money. I sat down at a machine, and I put in a ten-dollar bill. After I spent about $6, I won $70! I was so happy, and I didn't want to risk losing this, so I pressed the "cash out" button right away and a ticket was printed out for me. I took this ticket to one of the designated machines, scanned the bar code, and my money was spitted out. If I ever want to go to the casino again, Century Casino wouldn't be my first pick, but it's definitely all right. read more

I had the "Chicken Melt" sandwich special for lunch the other day. I wasn't expecting much, but the very helpful and friendly waitress recommended it over the other selection that I was going to make. I think this particular lady has been working there for several years and has always gone out of her way to be helpful and pleasant. I chose the Broccoli Soup to accompany the sandwich, and it was quite good. The sandwich was one of the best that I've had for quite a while! A tender submarine bun was perfectly toasted to slightly crisp on the surface, and the sandwich was loaded with big chunks of tender, real chicken breast and generous amounts of red and green peppers and onions and topped with a melted cheese. The only improvement I would have made, is perhaps an over-night brine of the chicken in pickle juice which would have brought this sandwich to gourmet status. But for just under $10, this sandwich stands out as a great buy and even comes with the side of soup or fries. read more

Yay, Century Casino Ballroom! The wife and I went there for the first time to see George Canyon in concert. It's a very nice little room which holds maybe 250 or 300 people. I was impressed with the sound in that we didn't need earplugs for such a small room. Everything was nice and clear nothing was too loud, even right against the stage. The ballroom has a small dance floor, right in front of the stage and gives you a very intimate view of the performers. The wife and I decided to take a selfie in front of the stage and George Canyon himself photobombed us! They also had merchandise tables and a meet and greet area set up after the show, to take some pictures, get some swag and have it autographed. The only downside to the night was that our waitress only came by only once, before the show had even started. We had said that we weren't quite ready to order yet. With that, she never returned. It's too bad because I'm a really good tipper. I would, for sure, go to more shows here because I love the low key intimate aspect of the whole experience. For the wife and I, it was a Valentine's Day that we won't soon forget. read more

I went to the casino and did not gamble at all, so this review is purely based on the music venue. I went to see The Proclaimers last week and it was a small-ish room with it's own bar, stage and a dance floor. The room had many tables dotted around and ours was a table for four, so we we were with another couple who were lovely and we ended up chatting away until the concert started. The intimate space, table service and entertainment were all fantastic. We were able to get great photographs of the band as we were dancing right in front of the stage. Those who stayed in their seats were still able to get a great view so it's well laid out and the sound quality was excellent. I am only giving three stars because the bar was small and not well stocked. There was not a great choice of drinks and they ran out of wine before the support act finished. Not a good idea when all the Edmonton Scots are out in force to see a legendary Scottish band. read more

In February 2013 they capped their maximum payable points on your players account at 150 which just happens to be the same as their minimum. If you win a $150 hand pay, you get 150 points. If you win a million dollars, you get 150 points. If you are a serious gambler and are looking to benefit from their members program, pick any other casino in the city because of the cap at this one. Others don't do this so it would be interesting to understand why they did this. The casino also had mediocre food, inconsistent bar service, occasionally aggressive security guards and an awful lot of senior citizens making 20 cent bets at the slot machines. Better off going to Northlands than this place if you want to stick to the Northeast quadrant of the city. That is unless you really want to see that "has been" act from the 70's that is playing in the lounge for a grossly inflated ticket price on the weekend. Otherwise, pick any other casino in the city and you'll have a better evening. read more

Century Casino lies in the northeast end of town near Belvedere Station. Somewhat on the smaller end of the city's gaming room scale, the casino is clean, well-maintained and generally feels safe, always a good sign. Its selection of slots isn't the city's best (especially since they took away the giant Wheel of Fortune machine) but there are a few cool options around: Happy Days, Indiana Jones, and the 1-cent Munsters machine come to mind. But Century Casino lures in customers with more than just their gambling options: the Century Showroom consistently books in great music, especially if, like me, you are a lover of oldies tunes. A few months back, Peter of Peter and Gordon gave an interesting historical presentation on the 1960s combined with live music, and last night Herman's Hermits damn near blew my mind. Don't ever stay at the hotel!!! Being from out of town and needing place to stay as we were seeing a show at the century casino we booked the hotel attached. Convenient right? The room is all fine and dandy nothing spectacular but the service the service was terrible! there's individual at the front desk that are hard to understand and then get completely inpatient with the people she is serving. Then talking to another staff member at the front desk who didn't seem to know what's going on. You will just keep being brushed off, and sending you to another person that has no idea what's going on. One of the most frustrating experiences I have ever had. I should have known it be bad, when I had called in to book they actually told me they were to busy and to call back in.... Shows are entertaining, food is edible the casinos took my money but don't stay the night. read more

It's a good casino. As good as any other casino in Edmonton, I suppose. I was there recently for a Yuck Yucks comedy show. There wasn't much of a turn out, which was fine; the casino has no control over that. But the talent was lacking. One of the comedians seemed like someone they just picked up from the bus stop, who had no real jokes in mind. And the food wasn't very good either. The nachos were fine but their steak was terrible. And the service was even worse. Our server was leaning over the railing to hand us food and drinks and barely came to collect our plates. If you gamble, this place is okay. I'm writing this review for a show that we saw at the Century Casino lounge as well as the buffet restaurant. In Dec 2015, we ate dinner in the buffet restaurant prior to the Abba tribute concert. The restaurant was packed. Obviously, a popular choice for those visiting the casino that night. The quality of the food was mediocre at best, but I went expecting this quality so I wasn't surprised or disappointed. The drink order took awhile to come for our group of six and a friends ordered meal was also delayed. It was a very busy night for them so, again, not surprising. At the concert, we were at a table next to the dance floor. The sound system was good and the performance was excellent. However, we felt like sardines. The tables were so close together that chair backs were contacting one another when people were seated. This made it very difficult to get out of your seat and out to the dance floor. I had a sore back for the next week as I had to turn sideways in my chair to watch the show. read more

I simply just told the Manager of the restaurant and her waitress which is native herself, as am I! Being First Nation ain't always the greatest experience at some restaurants! Worst service - EVER!! Went for breakfast this morning (24 Mar 2019), arrived at 9:20 am and there was 1 other table of folks in the restaurant. Seemed fishy as other times that I have gone (always a Sunday) there have loads of people there for breakfast. Let me be clear - there is no "special" offered for breakfast, just a regular menu. We ordered (three of us) all the same: omelette, brown toast. Then it occurred to me, the service is so painfully slow that patrons have gone somewhere else. It would appear that the waitress (Aurora is her name) cannot possible do two things at once - if you ask for water, she drops everything and goes into a mysterious back room and 3 minutes later arrives with your water. If you have asked for water and utensils (there was 1 set on the table when we arrived) then she will have to make two trips. Each trip averages three minute in the mysterious back room; I don't know what's going on back there, but it must be good. At 10:05 I asked for the bill and produced a credit card to pay for the meal, in the hopes that this would indicate that I was ready to pay and prompt Aurora to bring over the C.C. machine - this was in vain. At 10:20 I got up, put on my coat and walked over to the bar, bill in hand to pay for the meals - this too seemed to baffle Aurora as I stood there for another 5 minutes. The others "working" there are of no useful purpose either! One is named Debbie and when she saw me approaching the bar with the bill in hand scrambled to get away from me like I had the plague. It is unfortunate that Aurora received such a small tip - $ 2.34 on a $ 40.00 bill - but this is my way of saying that the service was inadequate. As for the food - this is the truly unfortunate part - it is AWESOME, probably the best omelette that I have ever had! So now I have to decide if I want to suffer through more crappy service, all to have another excellent omelette. read more

We had to go there to get a refund for some concert tickets. Drove in Edmonton (we live about an hour away). Stood in line for about 15 min, it was busy, that's fine, we waited patiently. As we got further and further to the front of the line I noticed that the ONE employee working there was VERY flustered and was getting rude with the people in front of us. When it was our turn. She got VERY upset, she said she had NO idea how to do a refund, and there was no manager around. She was quite rude to us. She finally called someone and they told her just to pay us out of the cash box., which she did. Fine. I was VERY not impressed with her attitude, she was flustered and rude.. I work with the public and if I treated customers this way I'd be fired! We also asked about another upcoming show, if there were any tickets left. She blatantly lied and told us they are not on sale yet, I am assuming just to speed things along?? I found out she lied because when we left, I went online and bought tickets directly. Her name was Debbie. I hope I never have to deal with her again! I come to this Casino quite a bit, this was the first time we were treated so rudely! Sure makes me never want to return! I emailed and called the casino the next day to find out if I could speak to a manager, and NEVER received any replies!! read more

This 5 star rating is for the lounge... My mom and I came for dinner and drink before we play... Our server, Rachel, was awesome. As a former server(and a good one) I was so happy with her service, she was the most friendly, capable and efficient server I've had in a long time, my mom and I actually said its so nice when the server adds such a positive presence to your experience. Thank you Rachel! And on a side note one of the gentleman picking up glasses in the casino area was so friendly and charming... This was a great night for century! read more

I went there with my roommate around 1010pm tonight 01.05.17 and we were denied entry for the first time, i am 27 and my roommate is 40.. seriously?????? the security asked for id's which i did not have at the moment because my wallet got stolen at the gym along with my id's and i'm still waiting for the replacements.. i presented a driver's license temporary card but they didn't accept it, so i presented my school id's with my picture on it and they kept on saying no and told us that they require government issued id's for persons who are under 30... i always go to this place before and there was never a time that they require an i.d...I was so disappointed about this as i don't look minor at all...because of what they've treated us- i rest assured that me and my friends won't be visiting that place again.. There's so much inconsistency with regards to implementation of policy (when to check and what age), by looking at my face one can immediately tell that i'm not a minor... I chose this place over rogers' place though i live close to rogers, but it turned out to be a wrong decision on my part...but for sure roger's will surely be the place to visit next.. It's definitely a hidden gem on the north east side of the city. The poker room is good, there are a huge amount of blackjack tables to choose from, and plenty of slot machines to browse. They even have a private high roller section for people who like to take big risks. I'd definitely recommend it if gambling is your cup of tea. read more
