I've been coming to Century Optometry for years and usually see Dr. Chang, who has always been great. This was my first visit with Dr. Tran, and she was wonderful. Dr Tran is kind, patient, and truly compassionate in her care -- will to squeeze me in on Saturday. A sign of getting older is realizing you need glasses for night driving, and Dr. Tran took the time to explain everything and make sure I understood night vision issue is common. The clinic itself is clean and welcoming, the staff is friendly , and the selection of glasses is extensive with lots of great brands. Dr Chang is very good and recommend eye exams with her. DO NOT get glasses or lenses there though. Spent a good chunk for lenses after insurance deductible. They must use inferior lenses as the normal coating shriveled up in less than a year. I went back to ask if they could replace this defect (never ever had similar cases in 40 years of wearing glasses). Bluntly told 'NO.' This is just from regular use! Cheap inferior lenses! I went to Century Eye Care because that is 1 of the few that are covered by my insurance. So when they pull out a tray I am given 6 pairs of frames to choose from. So I picked a pair I liked and paid the extra for them since they weren't on the approved list. I didn't even have them for 2 months, and the 1st time, I closed them to put in a case and the frames break. Went to the store, and they refuse to fix or replace. They said, "Glue it and then leave at home so they last." Really? I'm supposed to leave my reading glasses at home? This is crazy and ridiculous and outrageous. What did I pay for?? I had my annual eye exam there and they did a great job. The front office person was really nice and very accomodating of my changing appts around my work schedule. The doc is very patient and took the time to explain how my eyes were coming along. My wife went at the same time and felt the same way. Nice to find someone who likes what they do for a living. I ordered some new glasess and they came in lickety-split. They even gave my 5 year-old a exam and got him a cool new pair of specs. This place is very family friendly. I brought in a prescription over 2 weeks ago and when I tried to pay with my debit card their system was not working. The lady helping me said that they would place the order and that I could pay when the glasses came in, and that they would call me. I went in today to see what was happening, and was told by the same lady that the order was not placed because they where waiting for me to put down a deposit. I will never refer anyone to this office! Horrible waste of time! I was quoted $90 for a vision and contact lens exam. Upon arrival I was told my fees would be almost $200. Wow! Bait and switch! When I asked why, I was told that the quote doesn't include the actual vision exam! REALLY? I was then told had I brought in my prescriptions the fees would be less! I was never told this information upon making my appointment. Very poor front desk service and attitude! The girl literally RIPPED up my form in front of me when I said I wasn't expecting to pay double of what I was quoted on the phone and would have to cancel my exam. Lost a huge family of customers/ referrals DO time as well! Spreading this story. read more

when i came in for my appointment, the receptionist greeted me kindly and was accommodating. within minutes, dr. chang met with me! she is so warm and friendly, i felt relaxed and comfortable.
