I have the worst back pain from a severely herniated disc and was introduced to OC Wellness after a failed back surgery (spinal fusion and grafting). They have helped me tremendously and I wish I knew about this place earlier when my back pain first began a few years ago. I do a range of treatments with them, including physical therapy, acupuncture, and even cupping. The staff is like family and the atmosphere there is so positive and kind and they make you feel like family. Every single one of them has contributed to my well being. My pain isn't fully gone but they help me get by week after week. Their kindness is enough to bring me back week after week. My appreciation extends also to DR Badday and Annette and the staff at the Irvine branch where I receive separate pain management treatment including steroid injections, and nerve ablations. Very disappointed!! I don't know exactly how to write this review. I am the one that did some research on where to take my husband for both of his bad painful shoulders. We came here, started shots of Lidocaine to do extensive physical therapy, so even more pain. Then they did a CT scan of his shoulders, only to find out that they were making it even WORSE because the ligaments in his shoulders were TORN!!!!!!! OMG, maybe they could have started with the CT before to find out exactly WHY they hurt in the first place????!!!!!!!!! I DO NOT Recommend this place!! read more

I've seen significant improvement since I've started going to OC Wellness. Everyone is super friendly, informed and able to answer any of your questions. I like that the nurse, PT, and Pilates Instructor, is all in one place and they speak to each other about your case so they can work together. I have thoroughly enjoyed takinc Pilates with Lydia. The physical therapists here are incredible -- kind, skilled, and truly care about their patients. Unfortunately, the same can't be said for how this clinic handles billing and communication. When I started, the director told me paying out of pocket would be "the better option" and that I could get reimbursed through my insurance. Months later, after paying thousands, I was told reimbursement wasn't possible because of my deductible -- information the director knew from the very beginning. I feel completely misled and financially taken advantage of. It's a shame, because the therapists deserve better management than this. If you come here, get every financial promise in writing -- the care is great, but the administration is not. read more

I have been going here for the last couple of months and highly recommend this place. It's hard to name a few exceptional staff members as the entire team is phenomenal. The moment you walk in, Michelle greets you with a genuine smile. PT Lynn is such a fun, happy person to exercise with. Ahmed is always very empathetic and knowledgeable. Dr. Brandon, very intelligent, great sense of humor. He must have eyes behind his head, he oversees the entire team and doesn't miss a beat. He takes the time to listen and tweak your routine when necessary. Last but not least, if you need Accupunture, Carlos really made a difference in my recovery. Carlos goes above and beyond and listens to other problems you might be having. He adjusts his care for you, which helps tremendously. Manager, Ana Maria has put together a wonderful team. To critique this place at all, the only thing I would say is, some of the equipment is dated, there could be more machines, and as for the bike..... I had been dealing with severe pain for more than two weeks, and when I first walked into the clinic, I could barely move--walking slowly and bent over from the pain. I'm currently getting treated at OC Wellness Physicians Medical Group for my L4 & L5 injury and have had a great experience. The front office is amazing , welcoming and keep me in the loop. Dr. Sandoval heard my experiences & issues over the years of treating the issue and broke things down while also educating me on what was going on in my body and how we were going to work towards getting to a better place. From having pain the moment I woke up to get out of bed to currently getting out of bed and forgetting I have back issues at times has been a pretty shocking shift for over a month into treatment. I'm still a work in progress and following the exercises while getting treated but having seen great progress already I'm pretty excited for what more time and work will accomplish in the future as the treatment continues. I want to share my experience so others don't make the same mistake. After reviewing my MRI, the chiropractor told me my bone density was weak and that I could fall and break my knee at any time. That scared me into agreeing to stem cell treatment, PRP injections, and physical therapy costing $7,000. I was also told I'd recover quickly and be back to playing sports soon. Later, when my progress was slow, they said knee injuries "take a long time to heal," which completely contradicted what they said before I paid. A year later, I went to an orthopedic surgeon who told me the real issue was cartilage loss, not weak bone density -- and that stem cell treatment does not help with that. The same treatment plan should have cost around $2,600, not almost three times more. The physical therapy sessions were disappointing too. They were supposed to last an hour plus 15 minutes of laser treatment, but each session was under 45 minutes. I was assigned to different therapists with varying experience levels, and I kept doing the same basic exercises for months with little improvement. After six months, I was somewhat better but far from recovered. When I finally saw the orthopedic surgeon, he explained that PRP shots might help, but cartilage damage requires time and possibly surgery -- not stem cells. I regret being pressured by fear and false promises. Stem cell treatment did nothing for my actual condition, and I wish I had gotten a second opinion before spending thousands of dollars. I'm sharing this so others don't go through what I did. Always get a second opinion and don't let sales tactics or scare-based advice push you into costly treatments. read more
