His thorough response and professionalism was of immense help for me and my friend. I would highly recommend CareHouz for anyone in need of hospice care for their loved ones.

Unless, you have a monetary connection like my sister did- Megan Bell with the owner - Amy , in which my poor mom never did a power of attorney- simply just a will- so , she unfortunately left her checkbook to my half sister inorder to pay for her bills while she was heavily medicated. Me, being the older sister was left in the dark of my moms health, meds, never given an invite to be apart of their monthly checkin re my moms status with her treatment team. But later found out - Megan was. When my mom checked in this past summer from Westhills hospital I was already told the house was a crapshoot aprox 4 grand a month for her to share a room. I spoke to Amy over the phone , since I live in the OC inorder to introduce myself and relay the message the my sister does not talk to me to keep me in the loop. From that day forward- I would call the house and was unable to get info on my mom , nor even Amy's personal number I simply got a call last Wednesday night from a blocked number from a woman named Beth from Hope ful living saying she is sorry my mom has passed. I asked her to have my sister call me But ofcourse they don't get involved In family affairs I'll be filing a lawsuit Lisa-Marie

First, there is awake staff around the clock to watch over and care for the residents. This was a HUGE plus for me. I only met 3 of the staff due to the hours worked and the length of time my mom was there. However, they cared for my mom in a patient, personal, loving and caring way that was exactly what I wanted and what my mom needed - no control. They know how to take advantage of opportunities - like my mom was refusing showers, but they would "catch" her when she was getting up from a meal and suggest/ask would she like to take this opportunity to have a shower since she was going to the bathroom anyways. :-) The communication between the shift staff and also with Amy, the owner, was outstanding - AND the communication to me about good days and bad was also exactly perfect and comforting for me. They all really care about each resident and know/learn how to work with each of them. As a health coach, I believe that food is medicine and food was very important to me for my mom, too (unlike some of the larger assisted living facilities). The food at Hopeful Living is made from scratch. Maybe if there are sandwiches they might purchase bread (I don't know), but I do know that pizza dough and other breads that were for dinner were made from scratch. Each day I was there I would ask, "What's for dinner today?" Because I was so excited that they fed such great and tasty food to the residents. If Amy has an opening, don't let the opportunity slip!

At the time my parents were the most fragile, they arranged all in home care, from doctors, ultrasounds, labs, therapy, etc. They are very caring, kind and concerned about the well being of my parents.
