Yet another theater. I saw The Fantastic Four: First Steps here today. I have been to this particular theatre before, the matinee prices are very reasonable. Even been here for late afternoon showings as well. Some people may think movie theatres are a risky business these days, screw 'em! I am a movie buff and love seeing movies on a BIG SCREEN. Buying tickets through their app is convenient and standard. It was very handy to just bypass the line and scan my own ticket right at the start time. Seats here are very comfortable and spacious, screen and sound were great too. Now for the movie; I must say, The Fantastic 4 is genuinely what Marvel needed, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is back! It was one of the BEST MCU movies I have seen since Spider-Man No Way Home. The story is perfect, the character building, the soundtrack, score, it set the tone for the ENTIRE film, it tied together the visuals and everything else. Assistant Manager by name Liz, very rude and disrespectful. I was with my group of clients who suffer of intellectual disabilities, and she proceed to ring up one of my clients, yelling at her not once but 3 times. Her response when I asked her why she was yelling if we were standing right in front of her was, " This is how I talk" and then proceed to lower her voice (not making any sense). My client looked frighten and I proceed to assist her from this incident. Shame on Liz for yelling at a person who wouldn't hurt a fly. read more

We went to a Century this Saturday 08/23 to watch KPop Demon Hunters! We arrived early enough to get snacks and find our seats. The associate that rang us up for our snacks charged us wrong and didnt add our discounts and points. After bringing it up to a manager they quickly helped us and fixed the situation. Overall staff was very friendly and the movie was great! Besides a stain on the screen in Room 9 , everything else was great! read more

Nice work with the reclining chairs. However, on such a cold night, I am disappointed that it wasn't heated! I think there should also be room for improvement to have an easier way to sign up for rewards like AMC. They usually do it for you at that theater. read more

I saw the Barbie movie at Century had some kettle corn and a bottled water. I lo stop it red the movie. I would highly recommend this place on Monday. There is seniors tate and you get your tickets at a discount rate. For people that are 62 years. I'm so glad I used my senior discount. read more

Went in on 08/20 to see Blue Beetle. Half of the soda machines were not operational. Also, they now charge $0.60 for a tiny container of jalapenos, when a couple of months ago they were free. Seems a little greedy to be charging for something that is free at other theaters and was free at the same theater. We went to our seats and one out of the two were not reclining. The theater was full so we did not ask for a seat change. Now for the biggest downfall, the AC was down the entire movie. The theater was uncomfortably hot and we were on the verge of leaving. There was no warning or advisory prior to purchasing tickets of this major AC problem. We went to customer service after the movie and got refunds. After reading some of the other reviews, it seems this has been an ongoing issue. Not sure why this has not been addressed. The executives running this theater need to have higher standards for their customers. At this point the issue is known and not correcting the problem is just plain disrespectful. If these issues are not rectified, I will no longer purchase from this theater and will be going to the Maya Theater instead. I will also tell my family and friends to not bother wasting their money at this theater that clearly does not care for their customers. If you go to this theater and experience these issues don't be afraid to ask for a refund! Treating paying customers like this is not acceptable and they need to address this. read more

This is a review for the awesome popcorn that we received from Grubhub from Century 14 Theater and my mom and I were so excited to hear that this Cinemark Theater has popcorn orders that delivered and so we took a chance and Eureka our popcorn came really fast and Mom and I were impressed with the way the popcorn tasted and it reminded me of homemade popcorn and even better than Jiffy Pop. I can honestly say that this theater really does an awesome job with it's popcorn and we hope to get some more in the future because it's really better than microwave popcorn. This place is always dirty It has terrible customers who make too much noise and talk during the movie.

Here to see the late night showing of Star Wars at 12:35 am. But we're still standing outside waiting for the cleaning guy to finish at 12:29. It'd be nice to sit and chill before the movie, usually you can do that 15 minutes or more prior to the movie. Not cool! Everyone waiting just walked in at 12:29, cleaning guy "just finished." I haven't been to this theater in ages, nice to see the seat upgrades: recliners with footrests and a school desk style table. Wastebaskets in the bathroom and halls don't seem well kept, overflowing and despite sitting through a 2 1/2 hour movie they were still overflowing when I saw them after the movie. The parking lot is still fairly dark, no renovations there. Not the safest setting when you're coming out of the theater late at night. If not for the renovated seating I probably would have given this place one star. read more

Two so called supervisors were being stubborn and wouldn't let my 14 year old sister and myself in to watch the nun. To my knowledge at least one person has to be 17 years old in order to chaperone for someone younger. I am 21 years old so I thought we'd be good to go in. She called her "supervisor" who said that we needed an ID. Then I told her I had an ID and my sister didn't but I'm old enough to chaperone for her. She said if I had read their policies, and honestly I don't read policies before entering a movie theater I'm just there to enjoy the movie. She went on to say that my parent had to buy my sisters ticket in order for us to come in. So my dad came and they still wouldn't sell us the ticket because apparently he had to come in and watch it with us. What is that bs. read more

I went back to the movies after so very long of not going. I ordered my tickets on line, no hassle at the door, I just scanned my code. The concessions were very clean and the reclining chairs are super comfortable. The reasons they did not receive 5 stars is because they no longer refill your large popcorn and the booze were closed. read more

Worst customer service. They had a power outage on 7/9 at about 3:30pm and was told by the employees to come the next day for a refund. Came again on 7/10 and all the employees were unsupervised because the "managers are in a meeting." The box office person assisting me, said he called for one of the managers but I still waited 15-20 minutes in the lobby. It was until the box office person saw a manager pass by that he stopped her and asked for help. I was then told that I could not get a refund as the tickets were passed the show time, I told her I was aware of the policy but I was told I could come back the next day as I had also tried to refund my tickets online right when the power outage occurred but was unsuccessful as the website stated "unable to connect to theater." Odalys also printed out a ticket to show me the policy on the back of it stating what I just said about getting refunds. She also stated that "it's on her, on the employee" for stating that I could get my refund the next day. I was given the corporate number, I called and under a minute I was approved for my refund and now have to wait 6-7 days for it to show on my account. I wasn't given any other compensation. For instances like a power outage, policy's such as time after the schedule showtime, shouldn't apply. I understood they couldn't give a refund because there was no electricity but the company should understand the customer when instances like this occur. read more

Brought my nephews here today to watch a kids movie. I didn't purchase the tickets in advanced and was a bit worried it would sell out given it is now assigned seating. We arrived 30 minutes prior to the 11:50 am start and were able to get row D seats which was great news. I live in the south bay and I wouldn't be able to do that up there. The leather recliners are really comfortable but they are not heated. The theatre (rooms, bathrooms) was very clean and there is a small arcade at the entrance for kids. Plenty of free parking unlike the theatre in downtown Salinas. The food court had super friendly staff and they had everything including custom Starbucks drinks, hot cheetos with melted cheese, and candy galore. Conveniently located right off the Boranda Road exit off the 101 freeway so great place to stop on your drive up or down the central coast! read more

I emailed the manager of the theater and Kevin was gracious and courteous in his response, even offering a free night of movies on them. However a few minutes ago I got several hurtful and harassing messages privately from a "Joe L", calling me names and making statements about who I am as a person. Joe L does not have the stones to post facts or pics about them because they are weak. I am NOT afraid and will stand by my review. You dont have to like it or agree with it. Joe L doesnt know me as person so I take his words worth a grain of salt, but it is obvious that Joe is related to this situation somehow and is VERY upset with me for writing this review. Please remember WHY people Yelp. It is to help others find or avoid places. If you dont like a review I have posted...REVIEW what happened during the visit and what YOU can do to make it better. That would be a good place to start and NOT going the 7th grade playground bully route that you THINK has worked for you before. What happened to my family and I was not ok. This location was filthy. There was no paper towels or toilet paper in either restrooms. The snack bar was disgusting. And even on busy friday night they don't open the 2nd concession stand so you have to wait in line to get tickets and then wait in a bigger line just to get snacks. Disappointing. read more

I came in on 2/1. I was helped by an employee (name on receipt was raguilar). I paid with a cash app card and had a $3.00 coupon. My first payment went through and I received a text receipt. She went on to tell me my transaction declined. I was confused as to what had happened and I asked her if she had reversed my payment. She rudely told me "no I didn't reverse your payment your card declined". She processed the payment a second time and again kept screaming through the speaker that my card declined. She was extremely rude and extremely unprofessional. I quickly checked my app and it showed me she had charged me and she AGAIN kept screaming through the speaker that I was declined. With the same card I tried again and it worked. She was extremely degrading and I can only imagine how she would make someone feel who had to walk away because they REALLY did not have the money. I have been coming to this theater for a long time and it has seriously improved ever since they remodeld it. The snack bar has alot more options as well as the soft drinks. The new seats are very spacious and comfortable when reclined. I really like how you can buy tickets online and choose the exact seat you want overall I highly recommend this theatre! read more

I gave one star because I had to give a star otherwise I'd give zero. The parking lot is dark and be aware you may get robbed while leaving. This area gives zero f@$&$ about your safety! So we bought out tickets through the Cinemark app, reserved our seats and when arrived our seats where taken. Apparently they where told they could sit wherever they wanted. I asked the person who takes our ticket about seating he stated that they're not honoring the reserved seating due to a state law that says we can whenever we choose in public places??? Watched a movie in theater 12. Speaker quality was awful. Hard to concentrate on the movie because it was hard to hear it.

I usually go here to see movies. When I went today on 10/19/2019, I approached the theater attempting to see double tap. Unfortunately, the lady at from desk told me they werent showing the film and when i mean told me I mean she shouted. I was thinking maybe I had the wrong date, but no I was correct and she was wrong. I double checked with my phone. Then after I corrected her; she gave me attitude throughout the purchase. In the end, I decide not to buy the ticket and go to the other theater in old town Salinas Maya. THIS POST CONTAINS MATURE CONTENT I decided to go to an early morning viewing of Star Wars this morning to try to avoid the crowd. Now, I would rather go to a completely packed theater after what happened at this horrible place. Near the end of the movie, I had notice a vigorous amount of shaking coming from the lone guy siting just a seat away from me, and look over to see him masturbating through his gym shorts. I'm a blunt individual, and yelled "Dude, really?" which made him stop. A little bit later, I notice it again and again yell much more audible, "STOP THAT" which made him stop for a moment again. After a third time, I finally had enough and decided to contact the staff. I was even more horrified with how Hernan, the manager handled the situation than the actual act. After speaking with multiple staff members (for some reason), I waited outside while 2 other men accompanied Hernan. He came back out a few minutes later, and told me my fiancé who was still seated inside pointed him out to them, and that they had spoken to the man about it and he (of course?) denied it. I ask "so he's still in there and I'm supposed to..?" To which I got no help from Hernan, just told that it was my word against his. I walked away then, and waited on a bench hidden from the entrance of the theater until the movie ended a few minutes later. Before leaving, I decided to talk to management once more, incredibly dissatisfied with how the whole situation was solved. I voiced my dissatisfaction, to which I got nothing from Hernan again other than "we couldn't kick him out, it's your word against his" once more. I tell him "Of course he's going to deny it, it's breaking a law!" To which Hernan tells me they "watched" him where they couldn't see him. But wait, didn't Hernan tell me that my fiancé had to point him out to him? If my fiancé saw him, the guy could see them too.
